Her mother didn't rightly agree with leaving all the treatments alone, and Aurora would see the planted booklets in her room. But it was easy to burn and ignore them. Or it was for the first few attempts.
Instead she was mentally preparing herself to ask her mother if she could take Reg to Diagon Alley.
"Mother we don't need an escort, it's simply Regulus and I going to Diagon Alley and perhaps Knockturn Alley if we get the chance." Although Walburga was adamant for letting her children go freely around, she had to remember that her eldest was almost eighteen and realistically she was meant to be the mistress of her own household soon.
It was wrong for her having to ask her mother to leave the house.
"Oh alright, very well. Get yourself something nice, you know Cassi I always treat myself after getting married. Get yourself a wedding gift yes?" She giggled with her mother and the second Regulus peeked his head out in the far room she rolled her eyes.
He had obviously heard.
"Like I said this morning, wrapped around your bloody finger." She kissed the top of his head, and although they had all day, their mother pushed them on their way less than an hour after asking.
"Is there anything you need mum?"
"Nonono darling, unless you find a nice bottle of wine for dinner tonight, otherwise I can't think of anything at the moment." With that, both kids took turns in kissing their mother's cheek before Aurora led Regulus out of the house and towards the apparate spot.
"You're not going to splinter us are you?" Aurora began to cackle, and it strangely reminded him of Bella's horrific laughter.
"Of course not, but I do suggest you close your eyes." He did just that, although he was expecting it to be like all the other times he had gone with mother and father, or even through the floo.
Either gives him a stomach ache.
However there was always something graceful of his sister. He even heard Narcissa gosspi with their mother on more than one occasion on how Aurora looked as she was getting sorted.
Like a princess.
Like the Ravenclaw Princess the papers had deemed her to be.
"Alright, we can get your school supplies closer to September. But I did want to check out the new broom first if—" Regulus once again cracked a grin, Rory always knew how to brighten up a situation and it was truly a grand time as he bought a pair of new gloves for the season as he had hoped.
While Aurora had gotten a few new books to add to her collection. And off they went down knock turn alley.
After living in their home, there was nothing surprising with this darker side of magic. Aurora had experienced quite a bit of luck when diving in a few years ago, the illegal potion ingredients had a bad stigma sure, but not all illegal ingredients deserved to be labeled as dark magic.
But screw the Macala plant.
Rory was in a quest of a book, as Regulus understood from her explanation was that she wanted something to protect her potion ideas and notes without the thought of someone taking or seeing them when she writes something down in classes.
Regulus didn't think anything of it, nor questioned the idea of a random identification on such a thing. Then again her thoughts were always private and she did have a lot of ideas cluttered on random bits of paper, so perhaps it wasn't so far fetch to get her to sort through them.
"Ms.Black...Curious to see you here." She recognized the voice long before she turned her gaze. She smiled a greeting to her future brother in law as Rodolphus seemingly made his way over to the two siblings and eyed the shop they had just exited.
"Radiant as ever Cassiopeia." He stated, taking hold of her soft hand and bringing it to his lips.
"A flirt as ever Rodolphus." He smirked, his little brother's fiancé definitely was a spitfire when she wanted to be.
But a kitten never the less.
"You wound me sister, are we not family yet?" She pouted her lips and pretended to think on the question, truthfully his family crest rested on her bare shoulders and in-between her brassier.
While Regulus was left stunned bone, was this how the world around him really worked?
Odd flirting and taunts?
"Regulus, it's a bit early to be thinking about school isn't it?" The youngest of the three laughed an agreement.
"Yes, just this one can never leave the book store without buying a few." Although it wasn't an appropriate action, Aurora rolled her eyes, making the eldest Lestrange let out a guttful laugh.
"Sure if you owled Rabastan he would've come at your beckoned call." The girl shook her head, knowing full well what he was teasing about now.
"And I'm sure after a month of marriage he'll get tired of my call anyway, would you like to join us for lunch?" She questioned, but she already knew the answer to be no as his colleagues off behind him were still lingering.
"Not this time love, but mother and father would be delighted to have you over. And we urge you to pop in whenever you wish, Bella would be ecstatic." With a light nod did she kiss his cheek and bid him a good day, and a good as it seemed.
He offered a wink.
"Keep up the studies Regulus, Hogwarts is almost done." He cheered, walking backwards for a moment before turning all the way around. It was a shared relief that the man finally had left.
"Why did you offer for him to join? I thought today was our day..." He begged the question, only to cause his sister to smirk.
"The last thing I wanted was for him to join, but offering when knowing one is busy not only makes the offer sound genuine, but it looks as though it was an attempt Reg. It kept the conversation light and opened up for a reschedule." Although the boy was silent, he was taking monstrous notes on how to manipulate the situation as his sister had.
"Is there other secrets of the trade?" She turned to look at her brother and smiled. Merlin was his innocent inviting.
"I don't look at them as secrets, but you always want the conversation to steer in the direction you wish to see it go. To control it...He had called me out on not asking Raba and I merely pushed it to a wifely annoyance to get him off track. Raba will understand that it was a day for you and myself anyhow, his brother not so much." He hummed, showing gratitude for her little lessons.
As they returned to the brighter side of the town, Regulus noticed how many young witches and wizards accompanied their parents into town.
Making him confused once again.
"Why didn't mother and father ever take us out, when we were younger I mean. We'd only go to Germany or here when we got our school letters." She sucked in a breath and turned to her little brother.
"Because children are hard to control, pureblood, half-blood or muggle. We were a rather rowdy bunch and with Sirius and I being so close in age it was difficult. And we were merely three when you came to us. Sometimes I believe mum and father shouldn't have had children due to their habits and methods of discipline...Then again mother and father never really had to run normal errands any witch and wizard might have to accomplish." Aurora remembered kindly to the lessons of table manners and piano lessons as sometimes her hand would cramp after writing to long because of it.
"But what we can do, is promise ourselves and our future children that we won't be like them. And we won't let our partners be like them." Her voice was so angelic that he ate up every word, and even better factor is when they sat down in the restaurant, Aurora was allowed to eat what she wanted and however much of it she wanted.
It wasn't controlled.
*
Rabastan had other plans for today, and he requested Narcissa's aid in terms of making a very general list while going around the house.
Whatever idea sprung on Senior Lestrange to gift the summer home to his son came rather out of the blue. Literally
"When was the last time your parents came here?" Narcissa asked while taking a look at the front gate. "Four years? In need of a few house elves too I suppose." She nodded in confirmation, noting down that they needed a few different kinds.
One specific for cooking and another just for cleaning.
It wasn't anything he could've learned, but he knew Aurora needed to ease into being the mistress of a household. And instead took the liberty to start out the basis, or rather get the oddities out of the way.
He just asked Cissy what to look for when going through the house, but she wouldn't take no for her involvement.
Just the basic things.
Rabastan had to remind Cissy entirely, he assumed that Aurora wanted to style the home. "Your whole house will be a library if you let her."
"My wife deserves a library after the hellish home she's been living in all her life." He spoke, and the cutting Black smile reminded him kindly that he was dealing with a whole line of previous Blacks.
Cissy was just as loyal to her if not more than him. Bella was a wild card, but blood rivaled marriage through and through.
Mrs.Malfoy took the liberty to venture further throughout the home while Rabastan took charge to his future study. It wouldn't need much work, if anything an elf just to clean and sort the rubbish.
The books he'd keep for future reference like his father had, otherwise it was suitable enough.
Aurora's study wasn't that far away either, although he would have to see what sort of license he would need in order for Aurora to have her own potion's lab. Surely it couldn't be that tedious.
Otherwise her aboveground study held a small balcony unlike his, which was his mother's doing as it was just over the garden.
He sighed while looking out the vast land, dead...As his mother was becoming an elder and didn't have the motivation or capability of doing much anymore. Much less take care of a garden.
But he hoped that Rory will enjoy maintaining it. Funny enough their engagement happened off in the center of this field. While he was sat with her and Sirius playing with a few dollies.
All he could remember was he hated them with a passion.
It was only because it took Aurora's attention away from him, both Sirius and him were attention seekers. It was obvious in Sirius' case when he would snatch up Rory's books and hide them away.
But for Rabastan it was always the dollies.
Soon he found himself in his summer bedroom. It had been the most furnished as he never really returned to collect his things. There was nothing he needed, and it would just be a waste to take it with him, only to move back in a few weeks.
Weeks!
The thought itself startled him, but there was nothing else he could do in terms of slowing down production. The only reason it's scheduled so far in July is because of Aurora's birthday as well as her getting the dress ready in time.
It was indeed a treat to see her walk down the isle in whatever she created.
When leaving his bedroom he saw Cissy at the end of the hall shaking her head. "What is it?"
"Nasty boggart...Besides that, there's no bed in the master bedroom or anything in there really. Guest bedrooms need an upgrade of linens and design...There's a room I already suggested that you could take down for extra library space..." Cissy's ideas continued on countless pages.
"I left you alone for less than twenty minutes."
"We Black women work quickly when we're given a task, or did you think Cassi was the only one capable of it?" She surely had her own spunk, making either one grin at the temptation.
"The garden needs work." He spoke, and Cissy sighed. "It's a shame your mother is Ill, she loved that garden." Rabastan nodded inspire of his feelings getting in the way.
"Rory will love it, she always did like Herbology," Cissy added it to the list, or she added something in the sort to it all things considering.
"What do you mean there's no bed in there?"
"It's completely empty, perhaps your parents meant to call an exterminator for the Boggart. It's gone now." She whispered, fidgeting with her quill as the thought of what she'd seen.
"Thank you...I don't need a repeat of that class." His town took rather a dark turn as he stood in the placement of where the bed would be.
"Suppose this is the first thing we should look into?" She cooed, and Rabastan didn't even hide his amusement.
"For sure." His sister in law barely tried to mask her knowing grin, and it caused him to question it.
"Nothing...Not a thing...Raba." Rory's nickname for him was always the butt-end on numerous jokes, as was his infatuation. The lack of a bed truly brought that out for Mrs.Malfoy.
Especially when they haven't done anything incriminating just yet...
*
After the sit down lunch, Aurora and Regulus managed to pick up a bottle of wine for dinner and walk around for another hour or two before their trip had come to an end.
It was an almost dreary feeling for them to return, but the wide smile on their father's face as they had bought a very good bottle of wine on their trip gave the mood for the even an even brighter spark.
However when Rabastan was announced, Regulus wasn't even the bit surprised. Whatever his infatuation with his sister was, he was going to annoying about it.
"If it's alright with the both of you, I was going to take Cassi out?" He questioned, and they both threw in the towels at her future husband to enjoy the night.
His young fiancee was entirely confused as to where they were headed, but the second she had seen the front gate she squealed in recognition.
"It's been some time since we found ourselves here..." He whispered, and the girl squeezed him in response.
"Come..." His hand began to tug her through the opening gates. But before they had managed to get halfway down the path to the front door, he took the opportunity to look down towards her, adoring that everlasting smile that beamed brighter.
Merlin had he fallen in love with her grin, her dimples, the shine of her teeth. Or even her polite and acquainted smile she'd offer out to strangers.
"My brother told me he ran into you in knock turn alley this afternoon?" Her body hummer with her in agreement.
"I wanted to get Reg out of the house, he was getting rather dreary being left out. And if I heard another detail about flowers Raba I think I'm going to scream." Never mind, he took back his last thought. He adored her pureness, her ability to be truthful in such an energetic way.
"My only concern is you, kitten...You, at the altar...In the gorgeous wedding that I hear from a rumor that you have already lined up." She stilled, much like she had on the two previous occasions he used the nickname of kitten.
As if her secret has been outted.
And because she felt her stomach warm up uncontrollably every damn time.
"Cissy...Sharing my trade secrets." With that in the air had they finally made it to the door, he held it wide open to the manner and she smiled.
The decor and the smell was an illuminating familiarity of their childhood, and rather a swell part of them. Unlike her home at the moment, this manner she knew held a rather large garden in the back. As well as less medieval decor.
"You know, if you miss the severed elf heads—"
"Oh you little-" They teased one another back and forth as he continued to lead her to the first-floor balcony.
Unlike this early morning talk with his brother, this was romantic. Rabastan had her favorite dessert of forbidden chocolate forest cake front in center...Awaiting for them to finish the small dinner he had ordered from his parent's manner.
It earned him a rather drawn out kiss, but even seeing the land out into the distance made her shiver with delight. The two began to dig into the small feast before them, and Aurora didn't realize how hungry she had been from the entire day out.
"I know this is meant to be a surprise, but my father granted these lands as a wedding gift to us both." Aurora had dropped her fork after hearing such a thing.
Living...Here?!
She hadn't given much of a thought where she'd live, whatever compelled her to assume they'd live with Bella and Rodolphous suddenly vanished.
However Rabastan had taken her silence as a bad sign.
"I...I know it's old Rory, and needs an upgrade, and the garden is more than dead. But—" There was no need to persuade her into the idea, she had jumped from her seat and gone straight to his lap to wrap her arms around him.
"Darling...Love? Are you crying" She nodded into his neck, and in response to her reaction, he had wrapped his arms around her quite tightly.
"Rory it's alright, I'm sure it's not THAT much work to-"
"No, it's a happy cry Raba, I just...I never thought of where we would live after the wedding...And we had so many good summers here." Even seeing the tears in her eyes, that damn smile was still grand as ever.
Digging into his cloak did he hand her his handkerchief to catch her tears. "We are going to make it bright, open, specious...Us. Not a single drop of that dreaded place, or so help me Circi I'll— One reason or another, having lived with Bella it turned him a bit more violent.
Granted he was a well-rehearsed Death Eater in the making.
But to shut him up, her perfume was loud to his nose now, had it been the wine he paired with the cake finally coming into effect?
Whatever it truly was, he desperately wanted more of her.
One thing quickly led to another, and Rabastan wanted a change of pace as he lifted her onto the table, the clatter of the empty dishes rang. And although she giggled out his name at the humor of his temptation, the way he found himself between her legs and parted the fabric and bunched up fluff, there was little protest from his soon to be wife, though she was struggling with the idea of being so open on this affection. But his lips that were attacking her neck held otherwise.
"My smart lil Raven...How I cannot wait to ravish you, to show you how much I love you." Aurora swallowed rather uncomfortably, she knew deep down that sex was just...Well it wasn't just a means of love. Especially after hearing her mothers badgering about creating heirs for the Lestrange line...?
She found herself disgusted with the act.
Although there were times when she desperately wanted to give in to the craving, other times, times such as this one right now...It left her feeling afraid, for both the pain and for the fear of not performing well enough.
It was a general fear, one of which she'll have to ask Cissy about closer to the date.
Her ability to bare an heir is going to be pinned on her, and solely on her. Never the male. Almost like Bella and Narcissa to name of few, as it's almost a sick joke nowadays to hear their discarded sister already had a daughter.
Or that's what Sirius had said, a daughter.
Nobody else cared enough to know the gender of the child otherwise.
However, more pressing concerns brought her back into the moment...A rather large pressing concern found it's presence knowing against her lower thihg.
"Raba...Less than a month. I promise, you can ravish me the entire night." She whispered, and he cocked a grin.
"The whole night?" The question rang free, and although he was meant to be teasing her...She found herself in the higher position mentally as she was still quite fearful of that night.
And the whole night sounded like a stretch.
"After you see the dress I have for you...Hm, that's what I thought." The idea of what she would be wearing lingered always at night when he found himself...Horny.
He was an adult, a virgin adult compared to his peers who've experienced the slutty side of those wanting power.
Those like Bryston.
But he never really had eyes on anyone else, but the change to amp up his fantasies had him desperate.
"And what can you tell me about this dress?" She perked her lips to withhold the information, but he knew her all to well, her cues told him that she was play hard to get...And so he pushed a lock of her hair behind her ear and allowed his fingers to playfully skim further down her neck...And the line that teased her chest, almost outlining the family crest she had been wearing.
"Well, I so kindly remember your reaction when I wore that dress during Christmas so...Lace." He groaned, not being able to hold it together as he NEEDED to see it. Now.
"Silk...Tight fitted...Because I want to leave early for our honeymoon." That as well was going to be a surprise from her families, Rabastan had an idea and could just as easily ask ether side but decided to keep it hidden.
Wherever they would be, it would be bliss.
Utterly bliss at her promise for a full night of ravishing.
"How would you feel if I ripped the dress?" His question followed by her narrowing her eyes.
Merlin had that been the wrong question.
"Well that would ruin the surprise wouldn't it?" And now it left him confused even further, the breathless smile radiating on her flushed face made him huff impatiently.
"What's under the dress of course...Custom...Made...Lingerie." He growled right beside her ear to attack her neck once more, but Aurora had learned oh too well to hold in her moans.
As one needed to be in control, had she ever lost control...They would've been in bed a long time ago.
"Come, my handsome prince...It's late, and if you keep that up I'll have to put something on this here little love bite." He grinned in satisfactory at what he accomplished to her beautiful skin.
So as he removed himself from between her legs so she could find her place back on the floor and straightened out her dress.
"P-perhaps you should check in the mirror then?" He ushered out, biting his own lip as he tried to minimize his heated cheeks but to stop the grin from returning as well.
Her hand went straight to the hickey on her neck as she rushed to where she remembered a small washroom to be. Waving her hand to illuminate the room as soon as she walked up to the large mirror above the sink did she groaned.
"RABASTAN!" He flinched, but bit down on his lip to stop the laughter.
It was fairly bad, for one reason or another he adored that small little spot. Now it sparked further in temptation as he lingered in the doorway.
"Oh you smug little bastard. Just you wait, when you go to your meetings I am going to have one right here, for the world to see." As that was the entirely wrong approach, he scoffed.
"Among the circle, I believe it'd be an honor, wouldn't it? That a freshly shagged man on a high?" She playfully swatted at him as she placed her wand to it and disappeared it from view.
"Rory!" She shook her head and scratched his chin.
"I am not explaining to my mother what we were doing. Besides, this isn't getting rid of it."
