Cassiopeia Aurora Black has never shaken so many hands in her life, this convention was mind-boggling. And although it happened in Germany, it was a perfect piece of the puzzle to be able to understand other conversations. Even though she wasn't as fluent in potion ingredients in her second language, she caught on quick enough and they were understanding.
It was a very odd and eye-opening experience, there hadn't been that many female potion mistresses...Actually there had been an actual count of about four.
There had been more of a decent number studying herbology.
But Alchemy? There were no females what so ever.
Ms.Patriva was indeed a treasure, her alone made the trip a blessing. The two shared their addresses so that they would be able to keep in contact and perhaps work on a few projects.
Otherwise there had been a keen amount of judgment, and most assumed that Aurora was Otto's daughter following in his footsteps.
He was proud never the less, claiming that she was indeed his daughter if he had one. It was a proud blessing to be had of course, someone with such a standing like Otto and his wife to back her up on her beginning career.
Part of her...More so the majority of her did not want to return home. But she had obligations and that in itself caused her to break away from the invitation floo back home, coming home close to morning did she barely manage to take a shower before passing out from exhaustion.
Although Rabastan was prepared for her returned, coming to the Black manner with a bundle of blue orchids...seemingly gave Orion all he needed to theorize.
"Should I know what has gone on between the two of you or should I trust you to make matters better..." Rabastan sighed, this was going to be worse than he thought.
"No sir, you can trust me to make it better." He nodded once more and offered the stairs.
"She got home late last night, doubt she got any sleep at all in Germany...Go on up." However Mr.Black went from defensive over his daughter to allow the young male into her bedroom seemed almost like a threat.
But he trugged along up the steps and knocked lightly onto her door, though that was not going to bring her out of her slumber.
After another moment or two he decided it would be best to just walk right on in, and it was an adorable sight to see. Her projector was currently on, along with a soft crackling coming from from the fire, though no heat came out.
A meow invited him in further as Omen greeted Rabastan into the room before jumping back onto the bed and curling up beside Aurora.
"Kreacher?" He whispered, thus sending the elf into a spastic mess in wanting to fulfill an order. "Master Lestrange, Kreacher help?"
"What does Cassi usually drink when she wakes up?"
He then ordered Cassi's usual so she could at least get something to eat before she was thrown into a panic in needing to get ready.
Granted the ceremony was starting in the late evening, but she would surely make a deal about her hair.
"Rory...Love? It's late." He whispered, his hand running over a strain to hide behind her ear. This action prompted a soft moan to escape her, curling further into her pillow and humming as she soon entered her little realm of sleep.
He sighed, she looked so utterly peaceful. A part of him wanted her to keep sleeping, but the other knew well enough that she needed to be briefed on what was going to happen tonight.
Leaning down once more did he lightly brush his lips against hers, and eventually he felt the motion of her following along with it.
Sly bastard that he was...
As he pulled away she leaned up, beginning to rub her eyes and stretch. But the second her blurry vision landed on Rabastan she tugged up her bedsheet.
"Ra—Rabastan?!" She peeped out, her mouth now being hidden by the blanket.
"I would say good morning but it's close to afternoon..." He whispered, now sitting on her bedside as he patiently waited for her to yell at him.
Or question him about tonight.
Or tell her how wonderful the convention was.
But this wouldn't his Rory without a curveball. "I have morning breath, that was—"
"A very lovely way to wake you up, did you make it back alright?" She nodded, still very tired all things considering.
"Y-yeah, Otto had an emergency meeting or—or something so we just...Came back, think it was around three?" She yawned again, her tired demeanor offered little to no proper thinking as she looked up to him in confusion again.
"I didn't miss the ceremony did I?" He chuckled, holding up his bare wrist and finalized it with a shaking head.
"Sure I'd come to Germany to fetch you if you were coming late...I wanted to wait for you but your father said you were already here...Granted I don't think he knew you were still sleeping." The young witch began rubbing her eyes in an attempt to wake up further, but the offering of her regular morning tea really put her into perspectives.
"You know...I doubt you'd be allowed in if mother was home. She'd call this scandalous." He cracked a smile at her taunt, but he rallied it with his own. Leaning in very carefully not to disrupt her tray as he kindly reminded her of what they managed to accomplish on their engagement party.
"Raba...I know you just want to protect me. But that was a family matter."
"Family?! How is that considered a family matter?" Aurora glanced to the side and mumbled 'it's happened before.'
He muttered his own opinion and walked off from the bed away from her. "She would duel Sirius and me, it's a Bl—"
"Don't you dare try to pin it on your family Aurora. You could've easily gotten out of it." That's when she rose to her feet now as well, her wand gesturing to the walls around them so their shouts wouldn't be heard.
"So I can be labeled as a coward? That I had behind my husband like some incompetent wife?!" He squeezed his eyes shut in damnation, this wasn't what he wanted.
"Rory...How could you believe that's what I think of you?" His voice was broken, but what hurt even worse was the tears starting to form in her eyes.
"How else should I take it? My husband doesn't want me to duel? What happens if I'm called on a raid Rabastan, what if—" His face stilled and he shook his head.
"You aren't getting the mark." And she laughed, a sniffle making it's way somewhere in between as she shook her head.
"You don't get to make that decision. The Dark Lord does!" He analyzed her words carefully, and she was smart to read between the words.
"Rory...You could say no."
"Rabastan all I want is to practice medicine, but look where I'm born into! I can't be that incompetent wife." Lestrange allowed his head to fall down in defeat as he nodded.
Aurora didn't want the mark.
"Do you want me to get the mark?" Her eyes wandered over towards him, and truthfully it was the smartest thing for her to stay silent.
"I'm not marrying you because you're a death eater, and I'm not going to fault you for being one. I'll help in any way I can, but his orders I have to follow."
"Above mine?" Her glance once again said it all.
"What would you have me do? Talk him out of a direct order? Merlin sakes Raba, it's the Dark Lord." This entire conversation could not have been at any better of a time.
Aurora knew it was the stress that was getting to him, and so she walked directly up to him, cupping her hands directly to his cheeks in order for him to get a proper look into her eyes.
"I will always put you first. Just like I have with Reg." Her declaration had him almost gasp for air, only he planned a calmer approach and went down to her. Which was easy as her hands made a direct path to lead to those lovely lips of hers.
"I have no doubt in that, I just hope I can live up to how you see me kitten." Her eyes flared in recognition to the nickname as her cheeks flared.
"Arsehole."
"Oh love please...Now can I see the dress you had made for tonight?" She perked her lips in temptation and nodded as she walked into her bathroom that leads to her closet.
"WAIT!" She spoke, slamming the door as she worried he would see one of the inspirational dresses that she was thinking of for the wedding.
"...Something I shouldn't see love?" He teased, and she cursed that she left her wand in the other room.
"Bad Omen if you see anything related to wedding, let me hide it." She replied, and struggled to look around for where she could place it.
Luckily one of the wardrobe in this room closed and she managed to cover it away. "Okay! We're good!" She shouted, but his eyes scanned the room like a child hunting Easter eggs.
"Bloody shame I can't see it."
"That's right, no peeking! You'll just have to be alright with this dress here." Though it was hanging above them both, he smiled in imagining his little Ravenclaw sporting his colors.
Just for him.
A tasteful halter top had a small peek-a-boo in between for her breasts to tease a bit, granted they were going to be in robes for most of the evening and a mask.
The slit was teasing as well, but she held up the gifted high boots that Bella gifted and he rolled his eyes. "I still have your panties, shall I return them for this outfit?"
"Cheeky bastard, no...You can keep those. You know gals don't rightly think about what to wear underneath until showtime?" He chuckled and hummed along, his fingers running through the dozens of dresses, among them were a few shirts and skirts.
"You're plotting." Truthfully he was waiting until he could freely roam her closet, freely undress her...And freely rip the articles of clothing of her—
All of this was so easy for Rory to read off of him that she narrowed her eyes.
"You sir are not ripping a god damn thing of mine. Especially my wedding dress." His pout was evident and he sighed.
"What about panties?"
"You want to rip my beautiful panties, Rabastan Lestrange you monster." Her playful gasp only fueled his curiosity, but he would not get away with any of this.
"Shall I leave you to it then? Come back in a few hours or—"
"You arse! I don't know what I'm supposed to do!" He completely forgot his first reason in being here, so he rewinds and walked through how it would go. Luckily she wouldn't be the only female, just the only one who's been present before.
Harper, Clementine, and Izzy would join as well considering who they are romantically involved with at the moment. Though by either of the Black and Lestrange names, they are going to of her rank.
"And after? What time is this meant to end?"
"Fairly late I presume, the er...entertainment usually takes a while." Aurora felt sick, sick in how he worded it and sick in having to know what was happening when she and the rest of the females were out.
"Rory I don't participate in that."
"Rape isn't entertainment." He gritted his teeth, remembering kindly on how his little bird held onto his hand and forearm as though her life depended on it.
To see her a shaking mess after visibly seeing how sex was a disgusting nature...
"It won't be like that for us...If—" Her cheeks suddenly sparked the red hue of bright red as she couldn't dare to look him in the eyes.
"Are you worried about that...that's what it's going to be like?" The images were all cloudy in her brain, as it's what her parents paid to get rid of, but she knew damn well what happened.
"Love...Look at me." He whispered, his voice strained as he couldn't even place how he felt in the current moment. Had Rabastan ever thought about her fear in this next step?
He never asked.
With her lack of response, it caused him to slid his hand off behind her ears to cup her cheeks. Her head tilted up on his account, but that didn't force her eyes up as she closed them.
So he leaned in, his kiss as soft and adoring as ever. And soon enough her own movement followed in pursuit of a small smile forming at how calm and controlled her could be.
"I'm not afraid Raba...of that...But it's just a general fear, it's—"
"Nox won't dare lay a finger on you. Ever." She nodded, leaning into his hold just to feel his warmth and protection.
She wasn't scared of sex. No, it was just the first time that she felt a little panicked about...
But how would that make Rabastan feel?
All her talk about trust and all that, she couldn't put enough faith in him that it made her feel this way? It was aggravating, especially as she now stood in her closet alone after sending him home for a decent two hours.
They would spend time together before heading to the ceremony, so she would take her dress and wear something else to him home.
Personally she worried about hearing any more wedding details as she gets enough at her manner from her own mother.
