Rabastan had outdone himself for their one year anniversary, considering both were at the cutting age of nineteen it was scary that the babe was just a few weeks away. Granted he couldn't follow through with his promise in returning the gift he received on his birthday.

But he definitely put a pin in it for later.

But he was entirely prepared to bring up the knowledge of what that book was and why she was reading it. Especially when she brought it into the bedroom for a little final reading.

"Studying up are we?" She shushed him for a final moment before a smile widened, goddess was he a screwed man later in the year.

"You know Rory, I don't rightly know many titles that would interest you...But why on earth have you switched to erotic novels when you're in your last months and I cannot do anything?" Her mouth slowly gawked open as she threw the book down to the floor and hid her herself with the pillow.

He nudged her pillow as he settled on his own stomach, but she shook her head. "Not here."

"Bugger, because I would simply ask my kitten if she wanted a massage but seeing as how she's not—" This instigated a whack with said pillow as she tried to settle up to sit straight.

"Arsehole."

"I don't bring that to the bedroom, Sweet Salzar are you trying to kill me?" She still hid behind her hands as she shook her head.
"I would gladly read you a short story from it, shall we?" Aurora attempted to grab a hold of his nightmare, but he easily slipped by and retrieved the book to open it on up.

"'...And so he licked his lips before suffocating himself into his beloved's sex, completely soaked to the brim of a previous climax...' I don't know how I feel about you reading and wanking off to another man." She blinked, going over what he had said before throwing her head back in laughter.

"G-gals don't w-wank!" She choked and tried to come over his embarrassed expression, he knew it as well...he simply phrased it wrong.

"Besides, this is a very bad conversation to have...Rommy is going to pick it up." Now it was his turn to share a laugh as he returned back beside his wife and kissed her ever so gently.

The image of him going down on his wife plagued his mind and wouldn't leave. Especially as he continued to read to himself.

"Perhaps we could try a few of these little tricks—"
"You and your seed aren't coming anywhere near me for a few weeks Rabastan." Now it was his turn to feel out of place, his mates warned him that now that he was having a child that the activity in the bedroom would cease to exist.

And if Rory wasn't reading for pleasure then what the hell was she reading for?

"Then what is possessing this light reading?"

"Curiosity, what else?" The spark of his own curiosity was causing his brain to go fuzzy as he begged, repetitively for what she would want to know.

Merlin would he provide it or do it later when sex was back on.

Every passing moment for the next week had he questioned the book, it didn't just pop out of nowhere, and it wasn't the same as the one that Cissy provided before their marriage. He didn't miss an opportunity and at one point she read it in spite of not telling.
Merlin was he fuming.

How was she supposed to tell him about being at Amelia's hen party and not understanding what she received?

Now she knows and her curiosity was fueled, telling him would just push him further into his pestering state.

"Rabastan Alastair Lestrange you knock it off right this instance, you can read it yourself."
"I would love to help you if you would simply tell me Rory." She rolled her eyes and waddled away.

"But what's the fun in that?"

Currently Aurora was relaxing in the gazebo once again, Loki resting his head on her stomach entirely in a protective mode.

Aurora's gut was on the fluke, and it wasn't from the novel in any regard. However it was Loki's head perking up at the sudden noise and new scent he growled in warning, his protective nature rising to the challenge as he began to growl and bark.

His mum turning in the direction of whatever it was and stilled at the sight. Granted he was only Padfoot for a few seconds, he swiftly made his way over.

What did Sirius want?

"You're a bloody dumbarse you know that right?"

"Of course, reckless and brave. Where the true hearts dwell." Her mood for today hadn't been the best and so she stared at him in a sense of dread.

"What is it then?"
"I'm here to take you somewhere safe." She stared at him in damnation, what the bloody fuck did he mean somewhere safe.

"Sirius knock it off and tell me."

"I'm getting you out of the crossfire. A safe house out of the country." Her eyes stared at him in damned awe, just the morning was she thinking of her life here and though this was a chance at escape...She's accepted this life now.

"Sirius everything is here...You, Rabastan and—"

"You and your son deserve better." What was she supposed to respond with, and whatever he had done to the shields had allowed others to come and ready it.

"Siri...Had you warned me I...I would've—"

"This is for the better, we're coming to you now for it." Aurora swallowed, and although her wand was in her sleeve she managed to point it directly to the bracelet.

This was code Green and then some, especially when others were going to the grounds.

"And what sort of protection would this be Sirius? This safe house? Did you really equip it for everything a child needs, or are you locking me a room and hoping for the best." It was an honest question, what if there were birth complications?

Is this safe home really the best option and why did her brother support this?

Rabastan had been fitfully in his study writing a response to his mother, his wife wasn't fit for the company today as she was exhausted. But if he warned her prior to an invitation then she could plan for an early night, however his arm burned in severity on account to being summoned.

What really had him spill the ink was because it was the specific summon of his wife.

"Daisy, where is Aurora?"
"Mistress outside, mistress is reading." The master looked out the window in confusion, however the given count of people in his yard undetected damned him into eternity.

So he summoned an army.

His mates and in addition to Severus had been the first, as well as those such as Nox, his brother and Bella were quick...All confused as to what the summon was about.

"The Order members are here." Bellatrix had gone into a fit of rage that rallied her brother, the Lestranges had the upper hand sure.
But the dangers of apprenting Aurora at the current moment was because of how pregnant she was...

They simply needed to chase off those on the property, they were trespassing and committing an actual crime.

But the Death Eaters were going to retaliate.

"Rory...Please, we simply want to get you out of the line of fire."

"You've broken into my home and wish to strip me away, I don't see how you expect that of me. Screw you." The lack of knowledge behind this plan caused her to be downright outraged, but then the smirk widened as Bellatrix cackled in the spark of their own plan.

"Moony now!" Sirius yelled, and instantly the wizard threw a sleeping spell to the pregnant witch who fell back into her seat in reaction, her wand falling down response as Sirius smiled.

She had summoned them.
Perfect.

"Hello cousin." Sirius greeted, and the elder witch sneered at seeing her heavily pregnant cousin and sister.

"Disgusting blood traitor, still trying to corrupt her? Cassiopeia is beyond your concern." She had the first telling attack while either Lestrange popped in and backed her up.

Rabastan's only concern was getting his wife out of the line of fire, he hadn't even stayed for a second beside her as he held her close and popped her out.

Sirius yelled out a fake damnation as his 'target' had left.

Though she was simply in the family room settled in between the large pillows and Loki curled up and around her form bearing his teeth.

"Good boy, you stay here and watch over her." The man soon left and in that he summoned Narcissa, who acquired the internal flock of Aurora's friends who damn near did everything in their power to check the baby and settle her heart.

Her heart was beating far too quickly and Narcissa worried that she would have to moved to the hospital, but luckily the little war had been disengaged after Aurora was taken away.

No one from the Order was killed, but it was too telling what the Order had learned. It still set them for a distraction in seeming to want Aurora, and although Sirius wouldn't be that mad if she had taken his offer...He knew that for right now, she was safe in Death Eaters arms and proper healers for herself and her babe.

Rabastan did not waste another moment with the rest of those he summoned as he went straight to his wife. Meeting the ends of five very angry witches, though it took only a second for the given few to lower them.

"Her heart rate is back down, Severus would know what potion she would need." Harper left the room in search of the future potioneer and swiftly fell in pursuit to be needed...Again.

He was sporting a few burns himself, but it was a pleasure to be able to use Aurora's stocks and potion lab. She wasted no expense in any piece in its construction, as though she was competing against Hogwarts and their labs.

All her complaints were considered while in this room, Severus wasn't doing it for the title anymore. The trust was earned and favors had been given, the man was rising in station.

But he actually cared for the likes of Mrs.Lestrange.

She offered her aid prior to falling ill, the faithful incident in fifth year was not behind him entirely. But the aspect of adding her to the mix was entirely extinguished.

What he needed now was to save this child, if not for the baby then for her.

He returned up the steps an hour and a half later as he continued to the family room in which the lot of them had settled in, now it only settled with Aurora and her husband.

The master of the house was coddling her in finishing half a kettle of tea, but she was entirely alright. Her blood pressure was up or something in the sort, not that Rabastan could hear anything more than anger and damnation.

"This is to be taken throughout the next few hours, just two drops into her drink and it will calm her heart. And no Aurora, it won't hurt the babe." The women tiredly blinked up to him in a thankful motion, while her husband looked downright awful.

So much for the manor for being the safest.

In the coming days Carrow had gifted another dire wolf, a bit older than Loki to settle the dominance between them.
A female, who came with the name of Nymeria.

She lacked the energetic puppy attitude, most of the time, but Nymeria was indeed a cuddler, something that Aurora defiantly needed in the coming days.

It took three for Rabastan to feel safe that she could be in a room without him, but the wards had been strengthened entirely. And it damn near scared the Black family to hiring better charms to secure Sirius out.

The fight was out of Aurora's eyes now, though something had gone wrong the gut feeling was entirely gone. So she tried to distract herself with meaningless things, and one of them was prepare a few parcels that would not open until the event of her death.

As these were indeed troubling times.

She also wrote some for Romulus and Rabastan, Regulus and Sirius...The whole list of people as she begged them to carry on, because in Aurora's heart she had lived past her due date.

The potion incident...The herb...This was going to be the final straw and she knew it. But she put on a mask for her husband as he was working around the clock to protect her, the Death Eaters had groups of lookouts.

That was more of the Dark Lord's antics than Rabastan's, though it sounded like a favor.

"Cassi? Darling are you in here?" Cissy raised her voice and knocked as her cousin peeked her out of the conjoining playroom. It was easy to assume that Rory was on the second floor, everything on the lower level was too far away and time-consuming.

A new visitor came every day for Rory, and now it was her cousin. "Cissy...Sorry I was—"

"Nonsense, you have a lot on your mind, as always...Anything I can help with?" The mother to be looked around the room and bit her lip and shrugged.

"I feel like I'm missing something in here...I just don't know what it is." The elder witch looked around the room with the same eye in design of what she would do in her own child's room.

"You have everything necessary, you can always add later." Aurora nodded and tried to busy herself with meaningless shifts of clothes or she would take a small onesie out and smile to it.

Narcissa knew her cousin far too well, the look of acceptance.

"How are you feeling otherwise?... And that is absolutely adorable." Aurora hummed as her cousin motioned to the small blanket over the crib.

"Is it too much? I think the grandparents have ushered too much into this room. Doubt the baby will be able to play with most of these toys until they're—" Cissy waved it off, they were living in luxury and if she could even begin to suggest how her and Sirius' room looked when they were just fresh born babes...Then it would've been the same digression.

"May I?" Aurora offered her arm to the conjoined room. It was a last-minute decision to extend the room. So when the child was older he would have this room and another where his bed would be.

Unless he moved to a different room later on.

As Aurora was left in her baby's room by herself, she clutched the bars of the crib and sucked in a breath. They were happening closer together, and the woman knew well enough what that meant.

"Where is Rabastan?" Aurora let out a strangled chuckle as she wiped a tear away and continued to fold.
"With his brother I believe, I told Rolph to take him out for a few hours." Cissy agreed it was probably the smartest idea, though there were still a few Death Eaters guarding around. And the two wolves resting near Aurora's feet.

Cissy was saying something about the wall art, Aurora couldn't rightly catch onto what she was talking about, especially when she grasped the likes of her stomach and let out a gasp.

"CASSI?!" The mother to be could no longer hide it as she nodded.
"D-daisy...Me-Medic witch...NOW!" She screamed, and Cissy aided her cousin in getting her comfortable, as well as order her own elf to search for Rabastan.

The father should be here for this.

Cissy took Aurora to the closest bedroom and they awaited the witches who Rory has been seeing for the last given months.

"C-cissy...The baby is—" Early.
However the cutting groan of pain flashed throughout Aurora body for her to lack a proper response.

Merlin was this awful.

Soon enough the two nurses made their way into the room. Changed Aurora into proper clothing and readied their patient for what is going to happen.

And goddess was Aurora going to whatever potion that gets rid of this bloody pain.

If the baby wanted out, then so shall it be.
