Ryan watched Iris as she slept. Last night had been beautiful in every way. They didn't have sex, they made love. To many there was no difference but to Ryan there was a huge difference. He stared at the beautiful girl next to him. Iris pulled her pillow closer as she continued to sleep. One thing Ryan had learned to do was enjoy these little moments.

Yes, it was weird to watch someone sleep but there was something about seeing the girl he loved so vulnerable. He carefully creased her cheek. Iris grabbed his hand and kissed it. Her eyes slowly opened and a small smile formed on her lips. "I was thinking we'd go out for breakfast sound good?" He asked as he played with her fingers.

"Sounds good but let's stay in bed a little longer." Iris said as she rested her head on his chest. Ryan kissed her forehead and they laid in perfect silence.

After breakfast the couple headed back to Ryan's apartment. The couple had decide on movies and popcorn for the rest of their afternoon. Many would probably say that spent to much time together and away from the world. But that's the way they liked it. Just the two of them.

Iris came out of the kitchen  with a bowl of popcorn. She set herself on the sofa next to Ryan. She placed the bowl on her lap and rested her head on his shoulder. Ryan wrapped an arm around and played the movie. Everything about this moment was perfect. And Ryan wanted to say something but it could either make the moment or break it.

Those three words were the most dangerous. It could be to early.

Ryan walked Iris to the door. "You sure you don't want to come in?" She begged. "I can't, I wish I could." Ryan said he wrapped a arm around Iris pulling her closer. "Do you have to go?" She pouted. Ryan was going away for the weekend to see his family. He kissed her nose, "It's only two days."

"I know. I'll pick you from the airport on Monday." Iris promised. "I have to go finish packing. I'll call when I land." Iris nodded. The couple shared a short kiss. "I love you." Ryan said as they pulled away and walked to his car, leaving Iris standing there with the biggest smile on her face. Iris watched as he drove away.

Iris didn't understand why he left so fast. She didn't even have time to say she loved him.
