The next morning Ryan dropped Iris off. Iris and Ryan stood at the door, her arms wrapped around Ryan's neck. His arms rested on her hips.

"Hey Ryan" Tyler said as he walked by the door. Tyler retraced his steps. "Ryan! Hey I am throwing a barbecue for 5A finally, you should come. Some of the cast is coming. Iris' dad is coming to. I am sure he'd love to meet you." Ryan smiled at Tyler's invitation. "I'll be here. And I'll see you later." Ryan said. He quickly pressed a chaste kiss on Iris' lips.

They pulled away and Iris watched Ryan leave. Iris closed the door, "I am going to kill you!" Iris chased Tyler around the living room. "Why would you invite Ryan to meet my dad!?!?" Iris jumped on Tyler's back. "Well it was going to happen eventually." Tyler said. Iris jumped off his back. "You don't get do you?"

Tyler raised a brow. "You act like you don't know him. You know how my dad is. He's so overprotective especially ever since Eli. He's going to scare Ryan away." Iris said as she throw herself on the sofa, face first. "Your dad's not going to scare Ryan away. Ryan likes you to much to run." Tyler said as he patted Iris' head.

"Ty I really like him." She mumbled into the sofa. "What's that I can't hear you?" Tyler teased. Iris raised her head from the sofa. "I really like Ryan and I don't want my dad to scare him away." Her hair was in her face. "Just talk to your dad. I know he'll love Ryan." Tyler said.

Iris put her phone done when she heard her father voice echo through the house. Iris was and has always been a daddy's girl. Growing up it was only Iris and her dad. "Daddy" she screamed as she walked over to her dad. She wrapped her arms around her dad. They pulled away from the embrace. "How's my princess?" He asked. "I am really good." Iris said.

Ben knew the look on his daughter's face. Her eyes sparkled and gleamed, they basically screamed that she was in love. He smiled, "So does the sparkle in your eyes mean your dating Tyler?" Ben loved Tyler and he couldn't think of anyone better then Tyler to date and marry Iris. Iris smile fell a little. She knew her dad wanted only the best and he believed Tyler was the best. But Ryan was her best.

She giggled awkwardly, "Uh no dad. I am actually seeing someone else." Ben grabbed one of the cups on the table and took a sip. "What's his name?" He said bitterly. The brunette sigh, "Daddy please. He's a great guy and I really like him. He's coming over to meet you. Please don't scare him away." Iris begged. "Honey I just don't want you to get hurt again."

"I know. That's why this time Tyler picked him out. His name is Ryan and he treats me like a queen. He makes me really happy. So for my sake don't scare him away." Iris begged. "No promises." Ben teased.

Sprayberry walked up to Iris and her dad. "Grandpa!" Dylan said as he hugged Ben. Ben chuckled, "Still not your grandpa, kid." "Yup but that's not stopping me from calling you grandpa." Dylan joked. Khylin walked up to the trio and greeted Ben. "See this is why Khylin's my favorite." Ben teased.

"When's Ryan getting here?" Sprayberry asked. "Oh so you've meet the man that makes my daughter smile." "Yeah, Ryan's great." Khylin said. "Speaking of the devil" Dylan said. Iris spotted Ryan by the door and waved him over. He smiled and walked over to the small group. He greeted Iris with a kiss on the cheek.

"Dad this is Ryan Kelley, my boyfriend. Ryan this is my dad, Ben Ramon." Iris said. Ryan and Ben shook hands. "Iris, can you get me a plate?" Tyler yelled from the patio. "I'll be back." Iris announced. She walked away and soon followed Khylin and Dylan.

"So Ryan what are your intentions with my daughter?" Ben asked. "Sir I assure you my intentions are pure. Iris is a very special person and she's very important to me." Ben smiled, "Please call me Ben. How long have you and my daughter been seeing each other?"

"Almost three months." "Ryan, I want to believe you because you seem like a great guy but Iris has been hurt enough times..." Ryan interrupted him before he could finish, "Mr. Ramon I know what Iris has been through, she told me everything. And I am not going to hurt her. I care about her to much to hurt her. I understand your her father and you want what's best for her. But I promise you I would never hurt Iris."

Ben smiled and patted Ryan's arm. "You passed. I needed to know that you cared and you do. Your a good guy, Ryan."

Iris walked up to the two. "Sorry about that Tyler need help serving the food. What were you guys talking about?" "You" Ben said. "I hope all good things." She giggled. "Yeah, I was just about to show Ryan a picture." Ben said as he pulled out his phone. He quickly went through pictures and passed his phone to Ryan.

The phone displayed a picture of Iris when she was in high school.

"Jokes on you. You can't embarrass me, that was a fabulous stage in my life. I regret nothing." Iris teased. "I think you look beautiful now and then." Ryan said. Iris blushed and kissed Ryan's cheek.
