Y/N POV
I flipped through the book again, checking for a third time. We needed all the information we could get. Anything and everything to help get rid of-
"Y/N."
I groaned and looked up from my book, seeing the person I'd just been conspiring about.
"Theo." I groaned, relaxing back in the library chair. He smirked and sat down across from me, leaning his elbows on the table.
"Where's your sidekick, Stilinski? I thought he'd never leave your side." He chuckled, raising an eyebrow. I shrugged.
"Somewhere with Lydia. They've both been having these weird visions, at least that's what Stiles said. So he went to go talk to her about it." I nodded.
"You're sure?" He asked, scoffing. I furrowed my eyebrows at him.
"Why? Something I should know that you're planning to do to us?" I snapped. Theo lightly chuckled and nodded, raising his hands slightly in surrender.
"Okay, okay. But, it's not me that's doing something to you right now." He shook his head.
"Excuse me?" I scoffed. "What is that supposed to mean?"
"Your boyfriend isn't as amazing as he seems." He elaborated. Still, I was confused.
"Are you going to tell me or not?" I hissed, leaning towards the table.
"I don't really think it's my place to say..."
"Now is not the time for you to try and start being chivalrous. Tell. Me." I said slowly, putting my forearms on the table. Theo placed a serious look on his face now.
"Stiles is... he isn't just going to discuss his 'visions' with Lydia." Theo sighed. I scoffed, almost smiling at the sound of the joke.
"Alright. Yeah, okay." I chuckled, looking down to my book. Theo slammed his fists on the table, making my head snap up.
"Fine. Don't believe me. But when you walk in on Stiles and Lydia doing something he's been dreaming about for years- don't come crying to me." He huffed, leaning back in his chair. My blood boiled that he would even bring it up. I stood up abruptly and walked around the table. Theo's eyes followed me and raised an eyebrow.
Quicker than he could stop me, I slammed my fist straight to his nose, making him groan and hold his face in pain. I hissed and shook out my hand, feeling sore.
"Get away from me before I really do something I'll regret letting these innocent people see."
I sighed and shook my head. There was no way. Stiles was over Lydia. As if there was any remote chance he would cheat on me. Stiles? No. You'd have to give him-
I froze, cursing at myself for having any thing close to doubt in my mind. You'd just have to give him his life long crush for him to cheat, my conscious laughed at me. Was he cheating? Right now?
No, no. Why in the hell should I listen to Theo?
I mean, not that I trust him or anything, but it didn't hurt to make sure?
I hurriedly snatched my phone out of my bag, swiping the first screen to dial the familiar number.
"Please pick up..." I mumbled to myself as the tone played. Suddenly it picked up, making me flinch.
"Stiles?" I quickly asked.
"Uh," I heard Lydia's voice. "N-no. He's busy at the moment. I'm sorry."
I was slight deflated that Lydia has answered his phone. But, he wasn't necessarily cheating right?
"That's- that's fine. Just let him know I'll meet him at his house." I nodded to myself, before hanging up.
•
I shut the door behind me, dropping my keys on the table next to the door and slipping my feet out of my shoes. Letting out a huge breath, I dropped my body onto the couch and curled up, awaiting the worst. Half of me was completely engrossing my faith in Stiles. The other half wanted to send a text saying 'we're over' and leave this town.
Maybe a couple of minutes later, I heard the door open, making me look towards it. I watched as Stiles walked in quickly, oblivious to me so far. His hair was a mess and he huffed, hurriedly ripping up the zipper on his jeans. I felt my heart drop.
"Hey." I breathed out, sitting up slowly. Stiles spun around to me, a horrified look on his face before he recognized me.
"H-hey. God, you scared me." He lightly chuckled. He slipped of his shoes, walking over to the couch. He let out a loud sigh and collapsed on the couch. He tried to place his arm around my shoulders, but I turned towards him, avoiding it.
"How was the talk with Lydia?" I asked. Stiles raised his eyebrows.
"The talk?" He asked, confused.
"The talk... about the visions?" I raised my eyebrows now.
"Oh, oh." Stiles nodded. "Yeah, I mean- we didn't get much more advancement, but we understand each other more."
"How much more?" I scoffed, leaning back.
"Wh- what's that supposed to mean?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"How much talking, exactly, went on while you were at Lydia's?" I asked.
"What- I still don't understand." Stiles shook his head, sighing.
"God dammit Stiles, are you hooking up with Lydia?!" I huffed, growing angry. It's like he was trying to procrastinate this conversation.
"Why the hell would I do that?" Stiles scoffed.
"Why the hell wouldn't you? I mean, I wasn't there. You were completely alone with her for God knows how long..." I listed off.
"Why does that mean I'd cheat?!" He yelled, standing up. I felt inferior, so I stood up as well, keeping the stern look on my face.
"Maybe because you're with Lydia? You're 'life long dream crush'." I scoffed, emphasizing the quotations.
"Who the hell told you that?" He snapped. I crossed my arms, shrugging.
"Theo."
"Y/N, why are you talking to him? I've told you he's not good news." Stiles reminded me.
"I can talk to who I want to." I scoffed.
"So, how do I know you're not hooking up with him?" Stiles spat, giving a disgusted look. I gasped.
"Don't you dare try to turn the tables! We're here talking about you and Lydia!" I yelled, stepping closer. Stiles did the same.
"Stop saying that." He demanded. I raised an eyebrow.
"Why? Is it making you feel guilty?" I snapped.
"Stop it." He shook his head.
"I would Stiles, but this whole time we've been arguing, you've not once denied it. All you've done is answer with questions and accuse me of cheating." I huffed. Stiles froze and sighed, shutting his eyes momentarily.
"Y/N, I swear, I didn't cheat on you with Lydia." He slowly said. Stiles slowly raised his hands and gently grabbed mine, yet I still slightly flinched. He intertwined our fingers mindlessly.
"I'm- I'm sorry." I sighed, shaking my head. "He- he kept telling me that you were cheating and, and I didn't want to believe it Stiles, I didn't! But, but all the information was there and it seemed so possible-"
"Hey, hey..." Stiles cooed. "It's over and we're still okay. Right?"
I nodded, until my mind sparked with remembrance.
"Then- why did you walk in here like you'd just been blown? I mean, the hair, zipping your pants zipper..." I trailed off. Stiles nodded, chuckling.
"My hair- really just isn't combed today. And my zipper was down because midst pulling up my pants in the bathroom, Lydia yelled at me through the bathroom door that you sounded upset and demanded I get home and fix it." He chuckled, looking down to his socks. I slightly giggled along with him.
"That sounds more like you..." I nodded.
"Well, I'm here to fix it. Do you mind?' He smiled, lifting one hand to my face, his thumb brushing against my bottom lip. I smiled and shook my head slightly.
"Not at all."
And with those three words, Stiles put his lips on mine and kissed me.
