Rappin' from the Heart

[#JINimagines]
Rapper·Singer·AU!Seokjin

Kim Seokjin used to be that cowardly kid, he always had that family that cares for him but he knew there isn't something in him to be proud ofㅡhe's pathetic, he thinks.

One day a friend of his mother's came in to visit, she had her kid with him and he sat there beside his mother, eyeing the kid (whom was his schoolmate), it was graduation day and they still are both wearing their toga's on. He stares at the circles of gold rounded up on his neck that creates an annoying tone of clanking on his chest whenever he moves.

Jin is envious, looking down on himself, there he sat quietly, the only thing hanging round his neck was his own academic clothing, but more than that, there was nothing. He purses his lips and decides not to meet any of their eyes, he felt bad as he didn't achieve anything to be proud of.

'You're worth nothing, Seokjin. Worth nothing.' He thinks lowly of himself.

He just sat there beside his own mother as the guest talks about her child, how she's proud of her own son, how she's grateful of everything and she'd brag about her 'successful' kid's gold medals, emphasizing them one by one.

Seokjin stole a glance up on her mother, and she's smiling out of it all. It's weird, Seokjin thinks. Why would she still be wearing that smile despite all of this? He's clearly having a depressing day of such a glamorous event, he feels graduating isn't just enough and that he sucked at what life gives him.

He couldn't handle it.

It was when his mother crept a hand up from his back, pulling him towards her with her big hands up on his waist. Confusingly, he looks at her mother who still wore a smile. For some odd reason, it didn't look fake at all.

Seokjin is a sensitive kid, smiles had always been the judge of that. He can distinguish what's fake and what's not, at least that's a skill he's great at, he thinks.

Her mother just kissed his forehead, and he just stared at her neck in thought.

'I don't understand any of this at all...'

Her mother had this instinct, he knew Seokjin feels bad about himself and she did her best to soothe him, which she got successful with.

"Seokjin, I'm still proud of you, okay? I know you can do better than that. It might not show up now, but I believe in you. You've been the brightest kid for me, as well as your big brother." Her mother mumbles under her breath and Seokjin swore he's on the verge of crying.

The words were simple, but it pierced through his heart. He smiles widely and with no hesitation, hugged her mother with all his might and the guests stared at the two of them.

From there on, he swore, someday, he'll be someone known, a legend at that.

The positivity that his mother gave him led to what he is now. He's a famous singer and a rapper at that, not just known along the whole country of Korea itself, but internationally. Every night he'd stare up on the starry sky, wearing a wide smile, a real one. He's never been proud of himself, same as her mother who'd call him from time to time, never did he think it was annoying just like the clangor of those medals. He became from nobody to a somebody, shooting hearts here and there with his good looks plus the use of words on his every composition, inspiring millions of individuals.

Awards like those doesn't foretell that you'd be successful the whole way. Those are just indications that you are just best at something, but it never tells where your life would lead you to.

"Seokjin, you're up." A voice interrupted his sentiments, looking over his shoulder he saw Yoongi, a co-rapper around these parts, not to mention a friend who helped him from before when he thought his life's entirely wasted.

Seokjin nodded at him as he walked towards the stage, wearing that lopsided arrogant and superior smile, a trademark of his that signifies his braveness and all of that.

On the middle of the stage he stayed put, a mic up near his mouth, and before he could start, he closes his eyes garnering all the confidence and courage before he began to chant all his anger out to people who brings him down.

"Saying hi to all the haters out there,
Saying I am useless, do I even care?
This dedication is my expression,
To you who sucked on your life's progression,
Having my being, my entity as a question,
Suckers, may I have your attention?
You say I am useless,
That being on this group made it a mess,
Raising your hands up high, having a big deal over a fake rolex,
Compared to me, sitting on the throne of the vertex
Through the clangor of the pans, I cook
On your nose, down with a look,
I've made it through the charts on a rocket,
Bitch, I'm sold out on the market!
Saying I'm talentless left a scar,
Heol, have you even heard the strung of my guitar?
Have you even heard my vocal?
Maybe not because your standards are too damn local
Comin out of a car made me the trending car door guy,
Oh, tell your yummy girlfriend I said hi.
Man, have you heard of the third one from the left?
Sorry, I probably caught your girl's heart, does that make me a theft?
I am but the reigning worldwide handsome,
You haters, I'm going to make your life gruesome!
All you do is spit spat cusses,
That doesn't make you the coolest,
Let me tell you a story,
I ain't doing this out of pity,
No worries it ain't teary,
Not unless you're a crybaby
I was a pathetic kid before,
The total kind of kid described a bore,
The guests my mother had brags about their kids success,
But hell, look at me now, she'd never been this proudest, of this man you're hatin' on and on,
Have you been on the charts? Well not too long!
Been having this face the world belittled,
Lost on the highways, getting myself pickled
That character on GTA told me how to get all wasted,
Boy, I am lovin' all these attention being solely hated
You think you got all the chicks out there, brother?
Oh would you look at that, I'm climbin' their hearts like a firecracker
Say the day's gloomy as reported by the forecaster,
Meanwhile I'm having the sun have its spotlight on me, brighter
I am Kim Seokjin,
In this life, all I do is win,
The hearts I'm slayin', The world I'm dominatin', The haters all out hatin', they all be mocking in Latin',
On the stage I'm rockin', in the end I boastfully grin
This all ended on an entire wipeout,
This broad shouldered man is signing out."

The crowd gave him a round of applause and he sends out his flying kiss trademark, making all the girls scream.

He made his way backstage when a hand slinged across his shoulders. From the fragance of a famous cologne brand, he knew who it was.

"You did great, man." Namjoon raises a fist as he bumps it with Jin's.

"What would you expect? I'm worldwide handsome, the car door guy, and I could never forget that third one from the left when I debuted with you guys. Speaking of us, I haven't heard of Hoseok for a day. Where could he b--" Before he could even finish his sentence, a large hand ruffled his hair from the back with all force, causing his to tip his head down.

"Always right here, dumbo!" And that powerful laugh escaped from Hoseok's mouth. He walked on the other side of Jin, opposite of Namjoon's, his forearm resting on one of Jin's broad shoulders.

"You don't have to call me a dumbo, horse." Seokjin rolls his eyes with a teasing smile. Hoseok melodrmatically clutches on his shirt, against his chest where his heart is.

"Hyung, why must you be mean?"

"I'm not mean! Aren't you the mean one around here? You better shut up now or I'll shove plants around your mouth."

"You sound like my mom, Jesus- Are you my mom? Are we blood-related? You better tell me, I miss my mom. Been lonely since 1994." Namjoon just gave the two an unbelievable chuckle.

"Are you goddamn seriou- Hey, there's Yoongi!" Namjoon pointed towards the mint haired guy coming their way and he halts in their steps.

"Did good, Jin." Yoongi says plainly, although he's expressionless, Yoongi means what he says.

"You're just the shortcut type of guy, you know that, Yoongi hyung?" Hoseok says, intentedly wanting to make the mint haired man get pissed. Yoongi being Yoongi, he didn't even move from where he is and he glares at Hoseok.

All of them ended up laughing before they went out for a little celebration in the big city of Seoul as a group.

(Small Author's note)
I made that diss rap. My first ever diss rap. There's this sort of online diary group and there are much more smaller groups inside that produce diss raps. Though in an in character way. I idolize them so hard. Ah. I suck at it though.
