I sit there, waiting for him to come home. Brad is out right now with his band, touring the world and in just here. Waiting for his return. He hasn't picked up any of my calls, I see him all the time on the television, he's free most of the time. He's forced to stay awake, yet he can't make out three simple minutes to talk to me. It gets me thinking, what's more important then me? Today's my birthday and he hasnt called. Not even a text or shout out on his social media which he's been on all day mind you. I called Tristan who said Brad has been very sad lately and has locked himself up, only coming out for band meetings and concerts. And today's the day he's supposed to come back to the apartment we share in Sydney, Australia. Its about to be 12 am.. My birthday soon to be over and still no word from my love. Maybe he found someone better than me. I warned him I'm not everything a guy wants. I'm not super talented although he says I am, I'm not pretty but people reassure me that I am. I don't believe them. I'm just tossed around, worthless and unused. I continued to sit in my sorrows on the couch, watching the candle on my cupcake flicker. The cupcake I hoped to share with Bradley when he came. It had his album cover on it in frosting. You know, as a congrats/welcome home/ birthday cupcake. The clock on the wall chimed to show it was now midnight. My birthday, gone. Bradley? No where to be seen. A hot tear streamed down my face as I leaned forward, holding my hair back, and blew on the candle. The light flickered out leaving me in the somewhat dim lighting. I turned on the lights and sat back down in grief to remember all the memory's Brad and I had. I thought he really did love me, but he couldn't even manage a happy birthday. The clock ticked a minute past twelve and that's when the door swung open. Bradley rushed in, his black curls everywhere, his eyes were red and puffy and the darkness under his eyes showed he hasn't slept in days. But I just looked up at him, tears still streaming down my face.

"Shannon" Brad mumbled, sadness filled his soft eyes

"Why?" I whispered, my lips trembling

I stood up and grabbed the cupcake. He watched me as I walked up to the trash bin and dumped in the cupcake. I suddenly felt his arms wrap around me, but I pushed him away.

"Look it, Shan I missed you" he said as I walked away from him

"As If I didn't either! Bradley I missed you so much but.. Where have you been? You haven't answered any of my calls or texts. I've called Tristan, James, and Connor and they've all told me you've been locked up." I cried, staring at him as he dropped his head

"Shannon I have a reasonable explanation" he said as calmly as possible, it was visible he was trying to hold back his tears

"I don't want to hear your 'reasonable explination'! Cause all I know is that Bradley Will Simpson my boyfriend most likely is cheating on me, or doesn't love me any more!"

He mouth parted open, he let his tears fall. I felt like a terrible person, I had never seen Bradley this broken down in my life, but he had ignored me over a month now.

"You know it was my birthday yesterday?" I said, wiping away my tears

"I know" he whispered

He knew, and yet he failed to show up in time. He failed to wish me Happy Birthday. I can't right now he has to go.

"You know what Bradley, just get your things and go" I said with a sniffle sitting back down on the couch

"Let me make it up to you, please" he begged, advancing towards me

"No Bradley stop, get your things and go" I said sternly, standing up and pointing to the door

He looked at the door then at me. He looked towards the door and sighed. I thought he had given in. He turned towards me and before I could react he slung me over his shoulder.

"BRADLEY WILL, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I screamed as he went to the door, opening it and walking out casually

"I'm taking what's mine and making it up to you" he said cooly
