Afia:

I stood in front of my closet, battling with myself on what to wear.

"Z, what do you think I should wear?" I asked worriedly, turning to face her as she sat on my bed

"I dunno, just be you I guess. I don't really think you need to dress to impress..." She shrugged, leaning back against the pillows at the end of my bed

"What don't you understand about this situation. I must dress to impress because I have to impress Joes family!" I reminded her, turning back to my closet

"Fine, I can't believe your doing this to my brother... I mean you already impress me!" She complained

"Well I haven't exactly met your mom and dad have I? No one told you guys to move out to LA away from the FAM!" I snapped

"Yeah well just like you don't like to be bossed around, nor do I! Joe and I have our own reasons on moving out." She said, crossing her arms

I rolled my eyes. Zalina was a pain in the arse. I looked through my closet, trying to chose the perfect dress for this date. The whole reason I was going out with Joe was so he could impress his family and show them he wasn't just working on his singing career.

That's right lady's and gentlemen

I'm Joe Jonas's fake girlfriend for the day

The more I think about it the more I realize I had agreed to meet his family. I was going on a fake date with my best friends brother who I must admit is extremely hot.

Don't tell her I said that, if she found out I would be in a shallow grave by morning.

"Oh my god Afia. Just out on the blue strapless dress and a small jean jacket over it. You can put on those high boots and I'll do your make up" Zalina practically commanded, visibly pissed

I slightly smiled, I had gotten her to crack. I mean she was obviously already a little ticked about me going on a fake date with her brother, but watching me be undisicive for half an hour sent her over the edge.

I took down the clothing she had pointed out and changed in the bathroom, wetting my hair so it would be easier to brush through. I came out and she had already taken out the hair supplies and make up.

"Sit down, he's going to be here any minute now"

I raised an eyebrow as I looked at my reflection in the mirror. She had done a pretty good job! My make up consisted of a smokey eye shadow and catwinged eyeliner along with plum lip stick and a light blush.

"There, perfect" she smirked behind me

*knock knock knock*

He's here! Zalina was the first one out the door of my room. I followed after her, decending down the stairs as I heard the front door open.

"Zalina, you don't look ready" I heard Joe say

"Its mom and dad, nothing to be fancy about" she stated

At the bottom of the steps I looked to see Joe in a tux, his hair done and slicked back a bit. I almost lost my breath realizing I would be his girlfriend for one whole day...

Remember Afia, its just a one day thing

"Afia, you look great" Joe complimented

He said great ..  It beautiful, just great... But why did that still send butterfly's into NY stomach?

"You don't look to bad yourself" I replied

"Alright guys, stop with romance and get your butts in the car!" Zalina shouted making her way for the door

Joe and I watched after her as she opened the door and stepped out before turning to us.

"Now!"

We both scurried out the door, not wanting to upset her even more then she already was. We got into the car and the whole way to the reasteraunt I thought "What if they don't buy it? What if I goof up?! We didn't make a back story I'm not prepared!"

Calm down me, this will be perfectly fine...

We all sat around the dinner table, eating what we had ordered after our quick introductions.

"So, Afia-" Mr. Jonas began

"How long have you and Joe been dating?" He asked

I looked over at Joe who gave me a reassuring look. I needed a reasonable time.. Oh! I remember Zalina telling me she and Joe didn't speak much to their eparents for the past two years after they moved!

"We've been together for two years sir" I answered

I watched as Joe released a breath that I don't think he even realized he was holding.

"Two years aye? Well Joe I must tell you, you have a good looking girl here" he chuckled causing me to blush

"I don't think good looking discribes my Afia. Perfection suits it better" Joe corrected, taking my hand in his

I didn't realize how well of an actor Joe was, even if he did act in two movies already. Zalina gave me a "seriously" look as I realized I was blushing furiously

"How did you guys meet?" Mrs. Jonas asked sweetly, wiping her mouth gently with a napkin

This time I looked to Joe, signaling him it was his turn to lie.

"Well we met through Zalina at a Concert! Yeah Zalina could bring a plus one with her through VIP and when I first saw her I knew I was in love" Joe explained

That was actually how we really did meet. Zalina brought me as a plus one to one of his concerts and we met there. Im sure the rest was a lie.

"Aww Joe, I love you" I forcefully lied, practically forcing the last part

Were liying Afia... That's all... I think.. I can't shrug off this nagging feeling that maybe I don't think of Joe as "just a friend".

Joe flashed me one of his smile and we all returned to eating.

"So where did you guys go on your first date?" Zalina asked, stuffing a piece of cake she had ordered into her mouth

I gave her the look. She knew what was going on! Joe also seemed to be upset at her but I'm sure he could think of something. I was to busy thinking of all the ways I could have Zalina in a shallow grave by morning.

"It was a actually at this restuarant when it first opened" Joe covered up

Funny. The first I was here was when it first opened and I was with Zalina and Joe.

"Oh yeah! I remember you telling me that." zalina smiled sweetly

I jabbed my fork into my steak, showing her I was going to beat her later.

Suddenly Mrs. And Mr. Jonas began to laugh along with Zalina. Joe and I gave each other confused looks.

"You guys can atop with the get up okay? We just wanted to see how far you guys would go with this" Mr. jonas said in between laughs

I already knew who snitched.

"S-sorry Afia, I just couldn't help it" Zalina giggled

"I'm gonna smack you when I get home" Joe growled

"Mhm, count me in"

Zalina slept peacefully on the couch while Joe and I sat on another, finishing the movie we were all watching.

"We should draw on her face to get her back" I thought out loud, turning my head to Joe

"Eh"

I looked at him confused. Didn't he want to get back at his sister?

"I mean, why really? We already made her suffer by watching the Titanic" Joe questioned

"Well don't you wanna get back at her for making you say things you didn't mean?"

He sighed and licked his pink lips.

"Who said I didn't mean them?" He asked me, looking at me dead in the eye

He took both my hands in his own and looked me in the eyes causing my heart to practically leap out of my chest.

"The truth is, I really wanted you to go out with me today because I really like you. I was to scared to ask you to go on a real date so I thought maybe you would go on a fake one. I really do love you and I meant every word I have ever told you that you may have thought I was joking around with" he blurted out

I sat there dumbfounded. Did he really just tell me he loved me... But I realized that the feeling deep in my gut was the feeling telling me I loved him too. Ever since that first concert.

"Well then.. Joe I've got some news for you" I started off, making it look like I was as nerves as possible.

He sighed and began to take his hands away, looking completely let down.

"I love you too"

His face suddenly brightened up, a joyus look in his brown eyes

"Really?!" He asked excitedly, like a little kid who had gotten a brand new toy

"Really" I reassures with a smile

He suddenly pressed his lips onto mine, but I didn't regret one bit of it.

"Oh my god guys get a room! I would rather watch the Titanic then this!"

"Oh shut up Zalina!"
