this is for Queen_Fangirl1 luv ya

   Y/N'S POV

I walked down the red carpet with Dylan, smiling as we posed to the cameras. He kept his hand on my hip, leaving me no choice but to stay close.

Dylan leaned close and gave my cheek a kiss, letting them take pictures of it. When he pulled away, I looked up at him with a smile.

He smiled back at me, before turning his attention back to the flashing cameras and the crowd of screaming fans behind them.

The Scorch Trials premier. Everyone from the cast was here, trailing behind us with their dates. All of them looking good in their suits and designer dresses.

I felt Dylan tug at my waist, cutting off my daydreaming.

"Come on." He smiled, nodding down the carpet. I have him a quick smile back and walked to the next area.

An extremely high pitched scream  caught my attention, one that didn't sound like a scream of excitement-

  But terror.

"Everybody get down!" I heard a security guard shout, trying to reach the actors.

Before me and Dylan could crouch down behind a guard, a sharp extreme pain struck my stomach.

I let out a scream, collapsing to the ground as I placed my hands on the wound.

  I'd been shot.

"Y/N!" I heard a distant yell, but I knew it was Dylan who was right next to me.

"No. No. No. No. You're gonna be okay. You're- it's okay." He rushed out, putting his hand over mine to keep blood from gushing out.

I hissed at the pain, but it didn't matter. It still hurt like hell.

"No- don't close your eyes. Wake up." I heard Dylan say.

I opened my eyes, not remembering closing them. I looked to Dylan who had tears in his eyes.

"Please.. Please no. You'll be okay." He whimpered, nodding his head at me.

My eyes felt heavy, my body exhausted. My eye lids began to shut themselves, not listening to my brain as I mentally shouted at them to stay open.

"No. No! Stay awake! You can't leave me! You can't leav-"

But my eyes shut and just like that-

   I blacked out.

Dylan's POV

My leg bounced as I sat in her room, waiting for her to wake up.

She was hooked up to multiple machines after going through several procedures to take out the bullet and try to recover the wound in her stomach.

I quit looking at the clock a long time ago, because now it didn't matter.

Just as long as she woke up.

The doctors hadn't told me much, except that she "should" wake up. That scared me. The word 'should' scared me.

That meant it was possible that she wouldn't. And as much as I didn't want that to happen... it was all I could think about.

  Y/N POV

My eyes fluttered open, and my body moved as I realized I was laying on the floor. I looked down at the floor, seeing tile.

Why was I on the floor?

I sat up and got on my feet, looking around to see I was in a hospital room.

  What the hell?

I looked around to see a hospital bed with a girl laying in it. She was hooked up to multiple wires and a bandaged wrapped around her torso.

  My torso.

  My body.

I cinched my eyebrows and stepped closer to make sure, but I was right. That was me in the hospital bed.

My eyes traveled across the room, seeing a tired Dylan in a chair. His elbows were on his knees as he leaned over, his leg bouncing. A nervous habit of his.

Tears were evident in his eyes as he stared at my body. He huffed and leaned back in his chair, putting his hand to his mouth as he chewed his nail.

He was in different clothes than the premiere, now wearing a normal shirt and jeans. His hair was disheveled, sticking up in his usual gelled style but slightly messed up.

"Please wake up." I heard him whisper. He sniffled and rubbed his nose with his sleeve.

I looked to my body, sighing.

"I'm trying to." I said, but he didn't look to me. His eyes were still looking at my body.

A knock at the door made me and Dylan snap our heads to it, seeing Thomas walking into the room.

"Hey." He smiled at Dylan, shutting the door behind him.

"Hey." Dylan sighed, looking back at me.

"How's she doing?" Thomas asked, walking over to stand next to Dylan.

"Uh- they said she should wake up." Dylan breathed out, nodding.

Thomas nodded, glancing at me before looking back to Dylan, concern in his eyes,

  "And you?" He asked.

Dylan froze but looked at Thomas.

"I need her." He sighed, shaking his head. "I can't let her go."

"Mate-" Thomas sighed, sitting in a chair next to him. "I know how much you care for this girl. And I know how much she cares for you. She won't give up without a fight."

I smiled and looked to Thomas. "Thanks."

But I knew he wouldn't hear me.

"I know, it's just-" Dylan said, his voice breaking. His sighed and shoved his hand into his pocket, pulling something out.

"I was gonna do it. At the premier." He slightly smiled. "I wanted it to be big and fancy for her, but-"

"Yeah." Thomas nodded, understanding. My eyes widened as Dylan opened the small box in his hands, staring at the ring.

Tears formed in my eyes. He was going to propose. Until, I got shot.

"Why would someone do this?" Dylan sniffled, looking at Thomas. "Why would they do this to her?"

Thomas let out a deep breath before shaking his head.

"There are some crazy people out there...."

It was silent for a moment, before Thomas stood up, patting Dylan's back.

"I gotta go. It's late." He sighed. I looked to the clock on the wall and saw that it was 9 at night.

  Had Dylan been sleeping here?

Thomas walked out when Dylan didn't say anything. When the door finally shut close once again, Dylan stood up. I thought he was going to leave too, until he walked to the side of my bed, grabbing my body's hand.

"Y/N, please." He cried. "I need you. You can't go like this. You- we have so much ahead of us. We were gonna get married. Have kids. Settle down. Have a big nice house like you always wanted. Be together till we both go gray. Spoil our grandkids." He smiled to himself.

"I can't do that without you."

My heart snapped and I walked to the other side of the bed, looking at him.

"I want to be there too. Trust me, Dylan. But- I don't know how." I sniffled,

"Just-" he sighed, rubbing his thumb over my hand. "Wake up."

My vision because hazy and I stumbled in place, slamming my hands to the bed to steady myself.

"Please wake up." He said again, leaning down and placing his lips o my forehead.

I collapsed to the ground, shaking in place. As I looked forward, a light shined towards me, getting closer and closer.

"No-" I whispered, shaking my head softly. Was I dying?

It got too bright and suddenly, I saw nothing at all.

                               ~

My eyes shot open, my mouth doing the same as I took a long deep breath.

There was the screech of a chair sliding across the room as someone stood up from it.

I recognized Dylan appear at my side instantly, his face breaking into a grin as tears formed.

"You're awake." He cried, his mouth slightly parted.

I smiled and nodded. "I've been awake this whole time."

His eyebrows cinched as he leaned closer. "What does that mean?"

"I-" I shrugged, sighing. "I don't know. It was like... Out of body. I could see my body but I wasn't me. Like- like a ghost."

  He slowly nodded, before freezing.

  "So you heard-"

I nodded, cutting off his thoughts.

He blushed and nodded, a smile still on his face. Dylan put his hand in his pocket and pulled out the familiar box before looking at me.

"This was supposed to be- way- more romantic." He sighed, looking at me.

"This is amazing." I smiled. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

He smiled again, pulling the ring out of the box. He grabbed my hand, and slowly put the ring on my finger, his smile growing the farther he put it on.

"Until we go gray." I smiled, holding his hand. He slightly chuckled, before nodding.

  "Till we go gray."
