its ok (dave)
**warning: they make out. Again.**
Y/N POV.
Me and Dave had been sitting on his bed, just talking. About thing like the college we were going to, moving, the future.
Dave was more worried about Stella, his little step-sister.
"What if...what if she thinks I'm leaving her? You know? I can't let her think that. Maybe I'll just transfer. Stay close.." He mumbled, scratching his chin.
I scooted closer, grabbing his hands.
"Dave. You've done nothing to ever make her think that. Stella's a smart girl. She'll understand." I said, running his knuckles.
He nodded softly, smiling. I heard feet pounding down the hallway outside when the one and only Stella appeared in his doorway. She walked in and plopped herself on the bed.
"What are you guys doing?" She asked, her cute voice enough to make anyone smile.
"Talkin. What are you doing?" Dave smirked at her. She smiled even wider.
"Talkin." She repeated, mocking her older brother. "What are you talking about?"
Dave's smile dropped as he became nervous again. His hands clasped mine tighter. He knew he was going to have to explain sooner or later.
"Stella, do you know what happens after I finish my high school?" He asked her. Her eyebrows cinched, showing her confusion.
"No. What happens?" She asked, her childish curiosity sparking.
"Well, I'm supposed to go to more school. It's college. But it's not where we live." He explained. I could tell it was hard for him so I took out one hand and placed it on his back, rubbing it.
"Oh. Okay. Where is it?" She asked, pressing even more. He looked at the world map above his desk. He got up, Stella following.
He picked her up and put her on his hip, pointing at New York.
"It's up here. Do you know where we are?" He asked, looking at her.
She nodded happily and put her finger on our state.
"Kinda a long way, huh?" Dave sighed, keeping his finger on New York. I admit, I don't think I would've been this good at telling any sibling if I had one.
"I guess. What's your finger on?" Stella asked using her other hand to point on New York.
"That's New York. It has New York City where there's lot of buildings. It's known as the Big Apple." He said. Her eyes lit up.
"We read about that! It's so cool! Is that where you're going?" She asked.
He slowly nodded. "Well, it's where my school wants me to go..."
"Go! Cause then, I could visit there and go to all the cool places. Like a vacation!" She said, getting more and more exited at the sound of visiting New York.
"Yeah. You could. Don't you want me to stay close? I could always go somewhere here?" He asked, her opinion obviously meant a lot.
"Do you?" She asked, shocking us both.
Dave looked back to the map, deep and thought. Stella had surprised me. I hadn't suspected her to ask such a pending question.
"I really like the New York school." He nodded, probably speaking more to himself.
"Then go, silly. Like, yesterday, I was coloring my coloring book and I was coloring in grass. Grass is green but I did it purple cause I like purple. Is that the same?"
Dave smiled. "Kinda. But Stella, I want you to know I'm not leaving because I don't like you, ok? I'll always come back. Okay?"
"It's ok. I know. Who else would play 'Chef' with me?" She giggled, thinking about the game they'd made up. She would make pretend meals in her little kitchen and serve them to the judge, Dave.
Dave laughed. "I would hope you wouldn't replace me Chef Stella."
He placed her back on the bed and sat back where he was earlier.
"So, it's ok if I go to New York?" He said.
She gave a curt nod. "Yup! Go to your purple grass!" And with that, she ran out of the room.
I smiled. Stella really knew how to lighten the mood.
Dave let out a huge breath and laid back on the bed.
"See? She knows you love her." I assured Dave. He looked at me and smiled.
I laid next to him and put my cheek on his chest. He put his arm around me and rubbed my side.
"Thank you." He said, kissing the top of my head. I looked up at him.
"For what?"
"Y/n, through this whole time. Helping me with applications, school, and even hanging out with Stella. It really helps." He said, smiling as he went on.
I blushed. "Well, you seem to be fine with Stella. She absolutely adores you."
He rolled his eyes. "As if. The second I talk about you, it's like you're the only person that exists."
I laughed. "You talk about me?"
He blushed. "I never said that."
"Oh come on," I laughed. "Tell me."
"No." He said, defending.
"If it's about me then I should know? Yes?" I bargained, as I started to straddle him.
He looked up quickly at my face as his eyes got big.
"Well, it's just- ah." He said, nervously. I laughed a little.
His face went straight as he sat up and put his hands on my hips.
"I was really waiting for the next romantic moment but, I guess now is also good." He said, putting one hand on my cheek. I leaned my face into his hand and smiled.
"What is it?"
"Y/n, especially through all of this and helping me, you've been nothing except amazing. So, recently I found it was around time to finally tell you....I love you. A lot." He breathed out.
I smiled. "I love you too. A lot."
He let out a breath of relief. "Good. Now, we can continue this."
He leaned in and smashed his lips on mine, put his hands on my back. Pushing me closer, I put my hands on the back of his neck, grabbing at the hairs on the back of his head.
He hummed in pleasure and leaned back, bringing me onto his chest.
His hands were roaming my curves when I remembered.
"Dave. You're sister could walk in at any moment." I laughed.
"Ah, damn. You're right." He sighed.
"Well, what now?" He asked.
I smiled. "My house? My parents are at a friends party and won't back till lunch tomorrow."
He nodded quickly and started to get up when he groaned.
"What?" I asked, already standing up at the door.
"Uh... Nothing." He said quickly, following me. He grabbed my hand and walked behind me as we walked past Stella's room.
"Goodnight Stella." Dave spoke into the crack of the door.
"Night Dave." She quietly spoke back.
We continued downstairs until we met his mother, five feet from the doorway.
"Where are you going?" She asked, leaning on the wall.
Dave moved me in front of him, talking to his mom from over my shoulder.
"Going to y/n's house. Her parents need her to do.. chores so I'm gonna, uh help." He lied, holding me in front of him.
"Yeah, um so we're just gonna head out now." I said, slowly walking backwards.
"Ok. Drive safe."
Dave basically ripped open the front door and pulled me outside, closing it behind me.
"What was with holding me like shield?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"Well..." He trailed off, looking down. I raised my eyebrows and followed his eyes, realizing why.
Dave had a very noticeable boner.
I covered my laugh with my hand. He threw his head back and groaned.
"Come on. Let's go to your house so YOU can fix this." He said pointing at me as he walked to the car.
