i really miss her (dylan)
Dylan POV
We had just finalized filming for the episode and me and Posey headed to my trailer.
As soon as we walked in, I threw myself down on the couch and rubbed my face.
"It was a long day of filming that's for sure." T-Pose said, taking a seat next to me.
"No, well, yeah it's sorta that. It's just... Y/N has been at the apartment all by herself for the past 3 months and I haven't been there for her. Her birthday? Nope. Passing her final exam? Nada." I said, shaking my head.
I felt Tyler pat my leg. "Hey, you couldn't have gotten with anyone more understanding than Y/N. She knows how it is and she still loves you. I call that a success."
I let out a breathy laugh. "Yeah, I guess. But still, ya know? I'd like to be there for something. I don't feel like I'm really there for her."
He nodded slowly. I let out a sigh and sat up, pulling my phone out of my pocket.
I looked through some of the photos on my camera roll, smiling occasionally at a selfie she would take while I'd left my phone for a moment.
"Dude, are you sure you're okay?" Tyler asked leaning forward, putting his elbows on his knees.
I opened my mouth to say I'm fine but my heart took over.
"I really miss her."
T-Pose rubbed my back before he suddenly stood up. I looked up at him, confused.
"C'mon. Follow me."
I reluctantly got up and dragged myself behind Tyler when her lead me inside the building and into an office room. As we walked in, I immediately noticed the huge screen we used to slideshows.
"Yeah? What about it?" I said turning to Posey who was hooking up his phone. I raised an eyebrow and looked at the screen.
FACETIMING Y/N
My mouth dropped as Tyler stood there, a smug smile on his face.
"What about the time zo-"
"It's noon where she is. And plus, I called ahead. She's free right now."
And he walked out of the room, leaving me and this loading screen alone. It wasn't for maybe another thirty seconds until her face popped on the screen.
I could feel my lips automatically curl into a smile. By the look of it, she was sat in front of her laptop in our bedroom.
"Hey baby. You okay? Tyler said earlier that you weren't feeling well." Her sweet voice flowed through the speakers on the wall.
"Oh, uh... yeah. Just homesick is all." I nodded, giving her a soft smile. Even just this felt good. Just to see her.
"Dyl, I know that look. You're not telling me everything. It's ok. You can tell me." She soothed. I took a deep breath.
"I just, really really really really wish I was home right now. We've been doing so much filming recently with the new season and all... and-" I said, stopping myself. She gave me a look.
"And what?" She egged on.
"And, it makes me feel awful not being there for you. I've missed out on the past three months, even your own birthday. I mean, what kind of boyfriend misses their own girlfriends birthd-"
"One who is understandably busy. Dylan, I told you it's okay. I know you have to do loads of filming." She nodded, pulling her knees to her chest. I sighed.
"Posey's right." I said. She raised an eyebrow.
"About what?"
"You really are a keeper." I smirked. She blushed and hid her face, only to bring it back up and showing her smile.
"Why thank you. I try I try." She giggled. I laughed along with her and it eventually died down.
"I do really miss you though." I said, in all seriousness. She slowly nodded.
"I miss you too. But remember, only one week left until you fly back! We are gonna do so much when you get back!" She squealed, suddenly excited.
A huge smile broke on my face. "Yeah we will." I winked.
"Dylan! Do you only think about sex?" She mocked, crossing her arms. I shrugged.
"Only about you." Her laughed filled the speakers once more.
"Well, I do certainly miss that." She said, looking down at her keyboard.
"Oh god, do I miss it..." I trailed off. She smiled. God, I missed all of her. This right now was killing me even more than not seeing her. It's like something's dangling her right in front of me. Just out of reach.
"Hey... what if I flew back today?" I blurted out. Her eyes shot open, confusion painted on her face.
"What? Are you serious? You're filming right now!" She exclaimed.
"Yeah but it's Friday. I get this weekend off which means if I leave now, I'd have tonight until Sunday night with you! Yes!" I explained, getting more and more excited at the thought of it.
"Um... ok, are you sure you can? I wouldn't want you to get in trouble..." She trailed off, being cautious. I shrugged once more.
"Y/n, I'm leaving right now to come see you. No debate. It's happening. And, for one, we are definitely making up for lost time." I winked, pointing at her. Her smile reappeared, accepting it.
"So, see you soon?" She said, biting her lip. Ok, now she's teasing.
"Yes. Very soon. So I gotta go now. I love you." I stuttered out. She hugged her knees tighter.
"I love you too." She spoke, her voice soft as she hit the end button. I pumped my fist in the air as I ran out the room, to find Posey standing outside.
"How was it?" He smiled, lifting his arms. I couldn't contain anything.
"Can you help me book a ticket while I pack?" I said. His smile got even bigger. He came over and hugged me patting my back.
"Atta boy, Dylan!"
~~~
After my flight, I got into a taxi and gave the apartment address. I can't believe it. I'm actually here, minutes away from her.
The taxi couldn't have been longer. I felt like time was dragging on purpose, delaying my happiness.
I hadn't even waited for the car to completely stopped before I hopped out with my bag in hand, shut the door, and sprinted up the stairs.
I'd made it. Here. 3rd floor. Apartment 324. I knocked an insane amount before I heard her footsteps, then the lock, then the door.
She looked even prettier in person. If anything, she looked different than 3 months ago. Maybe it's cause I've been away for so long.
Her hand flew to her mouth before I met her past the door, wrapping my arms as tightly around her as I could without suffocating her.
I used my foot to close the door as I dropped my luggage, giving all my attention to her. She'd now wrapped her arms around me.
"This is the best I've felt in the past three months." I mumbled into her hair. She only nodded, her face buried in my chest.
She leaned back, looking up at me. I put one hand on her cheek as she put her hands on the back of my neck. She smiled as I tucked a stray hair behind her ear.
"I can't believe you're here. It's like seeing a ghost." She whispered. I smiled.
"Can a ghost do this?" And I smashed my lips to hers, trying to give in as much passion as I could. Three months worth. Our lips worked together perfectly, refamiliarizing themselves.
I missed this. I missed her lips on mine, I missed the way she played with the hair on the back of my neck, I missed how fluent our bodies were, fitting together like puzzle pieces. I missed her. And now I was never letting go.
I'd lost track of time, we'd never broken apart for air. We didn't need to. We hadn't held our breaths as we kissed. But I didn't care, as neither did she. Cause we were finally together.
