and then he spoke about her...
PART TWO OF "and then he saw her..."
Y/N POV
Me and Dylan sat in the back of the limo, holding hands as we both looked out our own windows.
"Y/N."
A smile grew on my face as I turned to Dylan.
"Yes?" I responded.
"I love you." He smiled, leaning in.
I leaned in too, pressing my lips to his soft ones. We pulled away when the limo stopped, a man quickly jogging to open our door.
Dylan got out first, turning back around and holding his hand out for me. I smiled and thankfully took it.
He helped me out, getting me to stand up straight. The man shut the door and me and Dylan walked towards the door.
Towards the reception.
The doors opened for us, Dylan keeping his fingers intertwined with mine as they fully opened.
People at the tables instantly stood up and began clapping, cheering.
A huge smile was on my lips and Dylan was smiling too, as he raised our clasped hands in the air, making the groomsmen hoot and holler.
I chuckled as me and Dylan walked to our seats, Dylan pulling out my chair for me. I gave him a peck on the lips. I shoved my wedding dress trail under me, sitting down.
He took his seat next to me, grabbing my hand on my lap. I looked to him, smiled, and gave another quick kiss.
Dylan had a huge grin spread on his face, before turning back to face forward as everyone began to sit down as well.
There was a small chatter amount everyone, until I saw Dylan's father grab the mic on stage and tap it.
"Excuse me? May I have everyone's attention?"
The chatter slowed down, before completely stopping, giving him his respected time.
"Thank you." He smiled, clearing his throat.
"Now, there's a lot of things that you should and shouldn't say during speeches. And, honestly, I don't really remember any of them."
The crowd laughed, and I noticed Dylan shake his head as he chuckled.
"But, I do know what I want to say. And, that's that I've never seen my boy more happy than when he's with Y/N."
I could feel my face redden as I looked to Dylan, who was almost as red as me. He noticed me and smiled at me, looking back to his dad.
"I knew I would see the day where my son would get married, but this- this is beyond anything I imagined. Here he is today, not only getting married, but getting married to his true other half."
"Their inseparable. They truly love each other and they're good for each other. I'm glad he has you Y/N. I wouldn't want him with anyone else."
I blushed and raised my glass, everyone else following. They clinched glass, taking a sip as they set it back down for the next speech.
My father.
"I really don't think I can top that." My dad chuckled, the crowd doing the same.
"Y/N, as a father, the last thing I want to do is give you up to some guy. But, today, I didn't have to do that. You have the most caring and thoughtful man I've ever seen at this age. I mean- back in the day, I was smooth. I was a gentleman. But this- this is a whole 'nother level. And- I'm proud to have him as part of the family now."
"You're my little girl. My top priority is to make sure you step through life safely and fully. And- seeing you with Dylan today- I know I've done that."
I felt a tear run down my cheek, before Dylan smiled and placed him thumb under it and wiping it away. He gave me and quick peck, wrapping his arm around me.
"To the newly weds, and to the hope they get through life, not just safely, but together."
Everyone raised their glasses, clicking noises echoing. I smiled as I knocked glasses with my end of the table, along with Dylan as well.
"And, there's one more speech." My dad smirked, walking over to us. Dylan stood up and shook hands with my father as he took the microphone. Oh god.
"Y/N, the things our fathers are saying about us are things I really hope we fulfill. I hope we get through it all together. I hope we stick together. But, I really don't need to say that one because I know I'll never have any intention on leaving you."
I chucked, feeling my face redden from the attention.
"But I just wanted to say again, out loud and for everyone to hear- I love you. And I couldn't have married any one better."
I took a deep breath and stood up, pulling Dylan in for a hug. He chuckled against my neck, before giving a slight kiss on it.
We both pulled away and I hadn't even noticed, but now the cheers of the crowd were dying down.
"Now-" Dylan smirked, grabbing my hand. "Let's get this party going!"
Everyone began walking around, coming up to congratulate us again. I felt Dylan wrap his arms around me, looking down at me.
"What?" I asked, tilting my head.
"No offense to this reception, it's beautiful, honestly." He nodded.
"I just can't stop thinking about the honeymoon." He smirked.
I rolled my eyes, but decided to play along.
"What you really should be thinking about it the new wedding lingerie I have on under this." I winked.
He froze and before he could retaliate, his grandmother walked up to us and began talking. I took quick glances at Dylan, almost giggling at the childish expression on his face.
"You can't do that. This party is hours long." He quiet groaned.
"You love it." I winked again. He rolled his eyes and placed his hands on my waist.
"And you. Every single bit."
