SODAPOP

I was working my usual boring shift at the DX. Again it was only Steve and I...No surprise there. I sat there bored out of my mind when the clock striked twelve and a whole wave of girls came in. It was like a routine. Sit here bored, get crowded by girls, sit here bored, go home, shower, eat, sleep, repeat. Nothing here ever was exciting. And by ever I mean ever.

"Oh my God, did anyone tell you your smile is gorgeous?!" some girl with blonde hair spoke. All I did was smile and nod. If I'm honest I never paid attention to them. Any of them. It was whatever.

"Soda, hey, Soda" another girl spoke and I snapped out of my daze looking at her.

"Hmm?"

"Here's my number. Call me" she winked handing it to me. I only took it and nodded.

"Hey Soda! Come here! I need your help with this car! It's a beauty!" I heard Steve yell and immediately I pushed past the crowd of girls and into the back when I saw her. She had beautiful brown hair and just these beautiful blue eyes to go with her. She just looked. Amazing. Stunning. Gorgeous.

"Ey, Soda, you listening?"

"Huh? Oh um yeah" I chuckled nervously and the girl just let out a small giggle and an eye roll.

"Now, what's wrong?" I asked pushing past Steve getting close to the mystery girl.

"Well, my car is making weird noises. It's also having a late start you know? It's just not working properly" she spoke and I nodded.

"Well, if you want you can watch. Then I can maybe take you out for dinner" I said with a small smile.

She only let out a small laugh shaking her head. Me, I just raised a brow from being so confused.

"Now Sodapop, I know who you are and I know you get girls very easily because you're an attractive guy. But, I'm not that easy and I definitely don't fall to anyone's feet. Including yours. So, thank you for the offer but I rather you fix my car so I can have dinner alone"

I couldn't believe it. Did she just diss me? I looked over at Steve who was just laughing his ass off.

"Damn Soda! She just said no!" he laughed and a blush just went across my cheeks as I start to work on her car.

"You know, that blush looks good on you. I don't think many girls can do that to you huh Soda" she said with a small grin making my situation even worse.

"And so, the lamb outsmarted the lion" he chuckled making me roll my eyes.

"Awe, is the big bad lion all of the sudden submissive?" she smirked and I rolled my eyes and turned looking at her wrapping my arms around her waist pulling her close. Light shivers ran down her spine.

"Who's the lamb now" I smirked and she only replied with a blush across her cheeks. I had a satisfied grin on my face as I pulled away working on the car. Soon enough hours have passed and her car was all fixed.

"Well Sodapop Patrick Curtis" she spoke getting into her car rolling down her window sending me a small smug smile.

"Thank you for the fixing. I'll catch you later" she winked speeding off making me only fall deeper.

"Dude, she didn't pay for the fixing" Steve spoke snapping me from my thoughts.

"Oh well, she'll be back. They always are" I grinned making him chuckle.

"Sure. She had you wrapped around your little finger" he laughed as I rolled my eyes. What I didn't know is how much that one girl, the one with the brown hair and blue eyes would make such a huge impact on my life.

You know, it's kinda funny. Later on in life you look back and you can't stop laughing at how much of a fool you were. You are. You still are. It's funny because of how you were so many years ago could make you happy. Even now. That girl, the beautiful, smart, sassy, kind girl with brown hair and blue eyes. I married her. I married her and had kids with her. A family. A life. A life with her. My one and only. And now that I'm looking back, I realized...that run in wasn't the first time I met her. I met her back in school.

The girl I fell in love with. Her name is Sarah. Sarah Curtis. My wife. My life. My all. My Sarah.
