Everyone seemed to judge you in your faction. You were always chastised, never being given the pleasure to be yourself.

Your faction was Candor, always known for speaking your mind and ending all your trials with, "Thank you for your Candor." You didn't fit in and you wanted to leave.

So on your Choosing Ceremony, you transfered. To Dauntless. Since you didn't really follow Candor's rules, you were know to lie almost all the time and be fearless around your people.

So being in Dauntless wasn't so difficult. You were at the top ranks in the end and chose to become a leader for the transfers, denying the highest leadership position. Your rival, Rita, was second in ranks, and she took the leadership position.

You've been a leader for the transfers when you got an interesting group.

6 transfers from Candor
4 from Erudite.
None from Abnegation and
2 from Amity.

The first and second to jump were the two boys from Amity. Surprising you, seeing as you've never had Amity transfers before.

With your hands on the net, you pulled it back, as they dropped down next to you.

The rest of the transfers and Dauntless-Born came down and you split up the group. Dauntless-Born left with Marcy and transfers stayed with you. Yours was a small group, 12 transfers.

"I mostly work as a tattoo artist, but for the next few months, I will be your leader and instructor. My name is Y/n."

Everyone followed behind as you gave them a tour of the place, before dropping them off at their sleeping quarters. You could feel their confused stares behind you as they looked around their living stations.

"Is this guys only or-" You turned, seeing a girl from Candor ask.

"Nope. Guys and girls. Candor, this should make you feel at home, right? All out in the open." Without another word, you left their quarters and headed back to your studio, changing into a black leather jacket and jeans, black Converse on your feet. Afterwards, you left to the dining room, seeing all the transfers already there.

Taking a seat next to the two Amity boys, their gaze lingering on you before they resumed their conversation with the group. They took in your appearance, eating at the same time and exchanging similar glances.

"So, why did you guys leave?"

They stopped talking and turned to you, before, one by one, they explained.

Then, the two Amity boys answered.

"I don't fit in."

"I needed the thrill."

With a nod, you smiled before they introduced themselves.

"Oh, I'm Tom, by the way."

"Harrison."

All of you continued your small talk before it was time for them to head to bed.

--

This was the routine, as the initiates going to train, fight and eat before going to back to sleep.

During these weeks, you seemed to grow closer to both Tom and Harrison, as they asked you for advice and your experiences. Almost everything was shared with them, except for your little secret.

You had passed all your tests and initiation with flying colors, better than the leaders had expected. Your mentor had been murdered protecting your secret so you had kept your mouth shurt about it.

Tom and Harrison were safe, the first part of the initiation, but they were in trouble when it came to the simulations. This, is where you figured out their little secret they had kept.

"How did you do that?" Tom was breathing heavily, from the sim he had finished a couple seconds ago.

"What?" He looked at you, eyes wide, trying to control his breathing as his hands ran through his curls.

"How did you break the glass?"

The question probed at the silence in the room, as Tom locked eye contact with you before shrugging and answering with a simple, "I just did."

You turned in your chair, supporting your forearms on the chair. "I don't think you did, Tom."

He looked at you, panic in his eyes before he sighed and stayed quiet.

"What were your results?"

"Amity."

"Tom, you can trust me."

He sighed deeply before locking eye contact with you and mumbling his answer.

"What?"

"They were inconclusive."

You nodded before bringing Harrison inside, Tom waiting with you and giving the blue eyed boy the serum, and taking him into his simulation. He had the same reaction, in a different scenario, concluding your hypothesis. As soon as he was back out of the sim, you talked to both.

"Come back to my studio at 12."

They knocked at the door promptly at 12, as you let them in and locked the door. They sat on your bed, as you took a seat on a stool.

"How was our sim?" Harrison asked as you sighed, looking at both of them.

"I testeed your actions in the same situations and they were positive. Which means, that you both had the same results on your aptitude test."

"And what we're our results?"

"Inconclusive. You're Divergents."

Harrison froze, his skin paling as he looked at Tom, who was calm.

"How are you so calm?" Harrison turned to Tom, a confused expression on his face.

"She saw my sim. I-uh-broke the glass by tapping it with my finger."

"So you blew our cover?"

"I wasn't thinking!"

"You div!"

"Okay, both of you divs, shut up!"

They looked at you, their argument coming to a stop.

"As protocol, I'm supposed to report both of you to Rita-"

"No, please, Y/n, please don't."

"Will you let me finish?" They shut up and you continued, "As I was saying, I'm supposed to but I'm not going to."

"Oh thank god."

"You have the chance to, but why don't you want to?"

You sighed, running your fingers through your hair, before responding with a simple, "Because I have my own secrets."

They were confused, as you sighed once more before taking them back to the simulation room, and closing the door.
