Cas -
When he told Sam and Dean about what he wanted to do, they were shocked, to say the least.

"Are you sure, Cas?" Sam asked. "I mean-"

"I'm sure," Cas replied simply.

After a pause, Dean sighed. "Well, you guys have been dating for years now, so... come on, Casanova. Let's go buy an engagement ring."

That was yesterday.

Today, you and Cas have the bunker to yourselves because Sam and Dean left to "help Jody and Claire with a small vamp nest". You wanted to go, but they said you should stay to hold down the fort with Cas.

You thought something weird was going on, but you stayed nonetheless; you never get alone time with Cas.

So, you're watching a movie on the TV.

He's sitting beside you, his arm around you while you curl up against him and lay your head on his shoulder. Suddenly, you sigh and stand.

"What's wrong?" Cas asks, brows furrowing.

"I'm hungry."

"I-I can make you dinner," Cas says, standing up a little too quickly.

You cock an eyebrow. "Okay, Feathers, what's up? You've been jumpy all day."

There's a long pause, then Cas reaches into his coat and pulls out a small, black box. You're extremely confused until you see the gold-colored hinges on it. You instinctively gasp, but say nothing; you could be wrong...

"I, uh..." Cas starts. There's another pause, then he finally looks at you instead of the floor. "I... I don't understand how, but... I am in love with you. And, based on what I've observed here on Earth... when you're in love with someone, you should propose to them... But I don't know if you'll say yes, and that is what, uh, made me nervous." He waits expectantly, and you try to stop crying, but you can't.

"I can't answer a question you haven't asked me, Cas," you choke out, wiping your eyes on your sleeves.

He sinks down to one knee and opens the ring box, revealing the engagement ring Sam and Dean helped him pick out. "Y/F/N Y/L/N... will you marry me?"

"Yes."

You're both smiling as he puts the ring on your finger, then you hug him tightly for what feels like eternity, crying into his shirt.

Then, your stomach rumbles. "Can we order a pizza now?"

Dean -
You're on a hunt in Vegas - a standard werewolf. Normally, you wouldn't drive this far for a case, but you were already in the area helping out some hunter friends on a more difficult case.

So, here you are, heart beating hard, sitting on the floor in a trashed house having just narrowly escaped death. Sam is taking care of the werewolf's body, seeing as neither you or Dean have moved since Sam killed it.

Dean was on the other side of the room when the werewolf had jumped on top of you. He'd ran for you, yelling your name, but Sam was closer.

"I thought I lost you," Dean finally says.

You over at him. "I thought I lost me, too."

Dean crosses the room and helps you shakily stand, then pulls you to his chest, hugging you tightly. "I don't think I've ever been that scared."

"Me either..."

There's another pause, then he pushes you gently back to look in your eyes. "Let's get married."

It takes you a second to process. "Let's what?"

"Let's get married. I mean, it's Vegas, and with this life, one of us could kick the can at any second, and I... I don't wanna go out of here without marrying you, Y/N."

Tears prick your eyes, and you step forward and kiss him. "Let's get married."

You grab his hand and run outside, startling Sam, who was about to walk through the front door. Excitement building in both of you, you ignore him until he shouts, "What are you doing?!"

Dean stops and turns around. "We're taking the car! Sorry, Sammy, but we gotta go! Store's are closing and we gotta buy Y/N a dress!

"You gotta what?!" Sam asks, thoroughly confused.

"We're gonna get ourselves a hotel room somewhere, so don't expect us back tonight!" you shout back as Dean gets in the driver's side.

As you get in the car, Sam pieces it together: You're buying a dress, you're getting a hotel room, and you're in Vegas. "Are you guys getting married?!" You're already driving away, leaving Sam alone. He sighs. "I can't believe I'm not invited. I can't believe they're doing this. I leave them alone for one minute... And now I'm talking to myself. Great." He sighs once more, turning to go back inside the house, mumbling, "Congrats, guys. Congrats."

Sam -
Dean's off somewhere in the bunker, leaving you and Sam alone. And, of course, what with the fact that you're never alone, you have to seize every opportunity.

So, you're watching Hercules in your room on your laptop.

It's the part where Meg is singing I Won't Say I'm in Love, and, of course, you're singing along. Sam's looking at you more than the movie, smiling. If Dean saw him - the love in his eyes - he'd tease him to no end.

"At least out loud, I won't say I'm in love," you finish.

Sam, barely even thinking, says softly, "I would."

You stop and look over at him. "What?"

"I'd say I'm in love," he explains. "With you."

You blush and shove him a little. "You're so cheesy, Sam."

He laughs. "I know. But it's true. I'm in love with you."

You blush harder. "I'm in love with you, too, Sam."

There's a pause. You think the short, cheesy, gag-worthy conversation is over, but Sam's thinking about something. He's thought about it before, but he's never actually said anything; it never seemed like the right time. But it'll never really be the right time, and now's as good as any.

"Marry me," Sam says, so softly you wouldn't've heard it if he weren't right next to you.

You look over at him again, the same way you did before, just a little more shocked and confused this time. "What?"

"Marry me."

You pause the movie and push the computer away, turning to sit up and face him. "Sam... What?"

"Marry me," he repeats, also sitting up. "I meant what I said - I'm in love with you. I've wanted to marry you since... I can't even remember how long, Y/N/N. And I know I don't have a ring because this is spontaneous, but-"

"Okay." You're grinning widely.

"What?" Sam asks, stopping his speech, which would've been more rambling than anything.

"Okay. I'll marry you." Now, you're both grinning. Sam leans in, going to kiss you, but there's a knock on the door.

"Hey! I'm going out to get food, what do you want?!" Dean shouts through the door. You can't help but laugh, causing Sam to start laughing, too. Dean opens the door cautiously. "What's so funny?"

You're unable to answer, so Sam, still grinning says, "We were kinda having a moment, Dean."

Dean grimaces in a 'my bad' sort of way. "Sorry?"

Sam shakes his head, standing and going over to the door. "I'll go with you to get food; I gotta go get something anyway."

"What?" Dean asks, following Sam out the door.

Sam casually replies, "An engagement ring."

Dean stops, then turns back around, finding you standing in the doorway, smiling. Suddenly, his eyebrows raise and his eyes are as wide as saucers. "Wait. Are you guys- did you just- what?" You and Sam both laugh. "You're engaged?!"

"Yeah," you say. "As of a minute ago."

Dean gasps. "You know what this calls for? Celebration pancakes! Sam, take Baby and get that ring! I'll be in the kitchen!" He starts to leave, then stops. "Consider me letting you drive Baby as a wedding present. 'Cause it's never happening again." With that, he all but runs off.

You laugh, looking at Sam, who sighs and goes to follow him. "He still has the keys in his pocket."
