Bruce: Sincerely, Me - Dear Evan Hansen
First, he heard the happy, fast piano. He didn't recognize the song, which didn't shock him; your phone was hooked up to the car speaker. It was obvious you loved the song considering the way you bounced in the seat when it came on. He chuckled a little, kind of nervous that you were gonna crash the car considering you're driving.
And now, here he is, listening to you sing whilst extremely confused.
Dear Evan Hansen, we've been way too out of touch. Things have been crazy and it sucks that we don't talk that much.
He recognizes the name Dear Evan Hansen; you've talked about it before. But he has no idea what he's in store for.
But I should tell you that I think of you each night...
Well, you know what comes next.
Through the shock of the last lyrics, he notices that you give each character a different voice as you sing.
I've gotta tell you, life without you has been hard.(Hard?) Has been bad. (Bad?) Has been rough.(Kinky!)
He blanches at that, not failing to see the smirk on your face at his reaction. After the first chorus, he just accepts it and laughs.
Dear Connor Murphy, yes, I also miss our talks. Stop doing drugs just try to take deep breaths and go on walks. (No.) I'm sending pictures of the most amazing trees. (No.) You'll be obsessed with all my forest expertise. (Absolutely not.)
Through the laughter he hears how nice your voice is and melts at the grin on your face. And then he starts laughing again.
Our friendship goes beyond your average kind of bond. But not because we're gay. No, not because we're gay. We're close, but not that way. The only man that I love is my dad.
At the end of it all, he's in tears, you're laughing at him, and his day is 200% better.
[You already know the ridiculousness in this song]

Bucky: Charming - Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812
He went for a run, then he picked up breakfast for the both of you. By the time he gets home, you're cleaning the kitchen, and he can hear music from the front door, but you can't hear him. You can't see him either.
Oh, how she blushes, how she blushes, my pretty! Oh, how she blushes, how she blushes, my pretty! Charmante, charmante! You are such a lovely thing; oh, where have you been? It's such a shame to bury pearls in the country. Charmante, charmante - charming.
He stops and listens, considering he rarely hears your singing voice. The gusto and sass of the song is all at once amusing and impressive.
Now a woman with a dress is a frightening and powerful thing. You are not a child when you're draped in scarlet and lace. Your fiancé would want you to have fun rather than be bored to death. Allez dans la monde plutôt que de périr d'ennui!
He quietly slips his shoes off and tiptoes towards the kitchen. When he sees you dancing while putting up the dishes, he smiles.
My brother is quite madly in love - he is quite madly in love with you, my dear. Oh, how she blushes, how she blushes, my pretty! Oh how she blushes, how she blushes, my pretty! Charmante, charmante!
Throughly amazed by the note you just hit, he enters the kitchen as you finish the song.
It's such a shame to bury pearls in the country. Charmante, charmante - charming. It's-
You stop, turning and finding him standing there. He smirks. "Don't let my presence stop your performance." You can only blush as Natasha sings about making horrible decisions. He wraps his arms around you from behind and rests his chin on your shoulder. "You've got a really nice voice, Doll."
You blush even harder and shrug a little. "Thanks..."
He laughs and kisses your cheek, letting go and making his way down the hall. "Your breakfast is on the counter. I'm gonna take a shower. Don't worry; I can't hear you from the bathroom."

Clint: Me and My Baby - Chicago
You and Clint recently had your first baby, which is exciting. The three of you have been home for a week now, and every so often, Clint hears you singing a song while holding the baby.
Not just a song, though. The song. The same one, every time.
My dear little baby. (My dear little baby.) My sweet little baby. (My sweet little baby.)
As if the mocking tone you repeated the lines in isn't enough, the rest of the song and the way you bounce along to it amuses Clint to no end.
Me and my baby, my baby and me, we're 'bout as happy as babies can be. What if I find that I'm caught in a storm? I don't care, my baby's there, and baby's bound to keep me warm.
You do the voices of the other characters in the song as well, and Amos' lines in particular make him laugh. However, after hearing the song multiple times, he knows the words and when to come in.
Hey, everybody! I'm the father! I'm the father!
You laugh quietly at him and continue, only taking your eyes off the baby to look at Clint.
Look at my baby, my baby and me - a dream of a duo. Now, don't you agree? Why keep it mum when there's nothing to hide? And what I feel, I must reveal is more than I can keep inside.
The next part, when the baby's awake, you tend to dance with [her/him], grabbing [her/his] little hands and waving them gently from side to side. [She/He] always giggles, and it makes you and Clint smile.
Let me assure you, it won't go away. I can assure you, you grow every day. I was a one once, but now I'm a 'we'. 'Cause I got my baby, my dear little baby. Look at my baby and me.
After a few other characters say some things, including another line from Amos, there's another chorus with a few differences. By the end of the song, the baby is fast asleep.

Loki: Burn - Hamilton
He wasn't home; he went to visit Thor considering you told the both of them they need to "make an effort with each other".
The point is, he was having family bonding time and you were putting on a one-woman-show.
I saved every letter you wrote me. From the moment I read them, I knew you were mine. You said you were mine. I thought you were mine.
It's around this time that he gets back, hearing muffled music coming from your bedroom. As he gets closer, he starts to hear you singing.
I'm re-reading the letters you wrote me. I'm searching and scanning for answers in every line for some kind of sign. And when you were mine, the world seemed to burn.
The song sounds familiar, but he's not sure where it's from. His main focus, though, is your voice.
You and your words, obsessed with your legacy. Your sentences border on senseless. And you are paranoid in every paragraph how they perceive you...
He risks opening the door and gets away with it because you're so absorbed in the song. He's almost shocked at how genuinely angry you sound.
You, you, you... I'm erasing myself from the narrative. Let future historians wonder how Eliza reacted when you broke her heart. You have torn it all apart; I'm watching it burn. Watching it burn.
The power in your voice renders him speechless. All he can do is listen, trying to memorize the sound because it's likely he'll never hear you sing this song again. You won't sing in front of him, so he got lucky this time
The world has no right to my heart. The world has no place in our bed. They don't get to know what I said. I'm burning the memories, burning the letters that might have redeemed you. You forfeit all rights to my heart. You forfeit the place in our bed. You'll sleep in your office instead with only the memories of when you were mine.
If someone were to have seen him in that moment, they would've seen eyes filled with love - and maybe a small amount of tears - as you finished the song.
I hope that you burn.
After the last note plays, you turn, see him standing there, and jump fifteen feet into the air. "Loki! I didn't know you were home..."
He smiles. "I'm glad I made it back when I did; your voice is fit for a performance on Asgard."
You blush. "Really?"
He steps towards you and pulls you to his chest, swaying to the song that just came on. "Of course. Although, considering your performance, I'd like you to remind me not to get on your bad side."

Peter Parker: Something To Believe In - Newsies
He's heard you sing the song, and others from the musical, a thousand times. This one, though, seems to be your favorite.
'Till the moment I found you, I thought I knew what love was, Now I'm learning what is true - that love will do what it does.
You're studying in his room, him at his desk and you on his bed. You're singing it quietly. Peter assumes that it's playing in your headphones and you don't even realize you're doing it.
The world finds ways to sting you, and then one day decides to bring you something to believe in, for even a night. One night may be forever, but that's all right. That's all right. And if you're gone tomorrow, what was ours still will be. I have something to believe in now that I know you believed in me.
Every time he's ever heard you sing it, you've sung both parts - Katherine's and Jack's. However, little do you know, he's memorized the lyrics, and he starts singing Jack's part.
We was never meant to meet and then we meet - who knows why. One more stranger on the street, just someone sweet passing by. An angel come to save me, who didn't even know she gave me something to believe in, for even a day. One day may be forever, but that's okay. That's okay. And if I'm gone tomorrow, what was ours still will be. I have something to believe in now that I know you believed in me.
Your head snapped up when he started singing. You were confused at first, but after a few seconds, you started smiling. Your books are pushed to the side, and you're smiling and laughing at yourselves a little as you sing together.
Do you know what I believe in? Look into my eyes and see. And if I'm gone tomorrow what was ours still will be. I have something to believe in now that I know you believed in me. I have something to believe in now that I know you believed in me.
After the song ends, you take your headphones out. "Have I really sang it that much that you have it memorized?"
"Well," he says sheepishly, "I kinda took it upon myself to memorize it..."
You blush, looking down. "When did I get so lucky?"
He blushes, too, and shrugs a little, causing you to laugh.

Peter Quill: I Dreamed A Dream - Les Misérables
It's one of the few songs you remember from your time on earth; it was your mom's favorite. The whole musical was, honestly.
You only really sing when Peter does, always along to some song on his Walkman. This one - and a few others - you never sing, considering you're never alone. There's always somebody on the ship.
Today, however, the rarest occurrence in the galaxy happens: It's just you and baby Groot.
"You're not gonna judge me, are you?" you ask him.
He smiles and bounces off. "I am Groot! I am Groot."
"I'll take that as a yes."
And so, you sing a song you haven't sang since... well, since around the time it first came out.
There was a time when men were kind, when their voices were soft and their words inviting. There was a time when love was blind, and the world was a song and the song was exciting. There was a time. Then it all went wrong.
You make it through a little more before Peter comes back. He sees an empty ship, but he hears somebody singing.
And he's pretty sure it's you.
And still I dream he'll come to me. That we will live the years together. But there are dreams that cannot be, and there are storms we cannot weather.
He creeps around the ship until he finds you singing whilst cleaning up a mess that Drax made earlier. Groot is sitting on the ground in the doorway and swaying to the song.
I had a dream my life would be so different from this hell I'm living, so different now from what it seemed. Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.
Once it's clear you're done, Peter can't help but clap. He never realized just how beautiful your voice was before. You jump and turn, finding both Peter and Groot clapping. Peter smiles. "Is there any other secrets you're keeping from me?"
You blush and continue to clean, trying to pretend that that never happened. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"You have an amazing voice!" Peter exclaims.
"I am Groot!"
"See? Even Groot agrees."
You blush harder and brush past the two of the them, heading to exit the ship. "Thanks, guys, but don't get used to it."
Peter shakes his head a little and looks down at Groot. "That's a waste of talent."
"I am Groot."

Sam: Wait For Me - Hadestown
You're just doing laundry and playing your playlist when this song comes on. It doesn't matter if Sam's home; you can't not sing this song.
It's his fault if his eardrums burst, honestly.
'Eurydice?' 'Hey, the big artiste! Ain't you working on your masterpiece?' 'Where is she?' 'Brother, what do you care? You'll find another muse somewhere.'
You do both Orpheus' and Hermes' parts, which are mostly spoken in the beginning. When you start singing, though, is when Sam finally notices.
'How to get to Hadestown: You'll have to take the long way down, through the underground, under cover of night, laying low, staying out of sight.
There ain't no compass, brother, ain't no map. Just a telephone wire and the railroad track. You keep on walking and you don't look back 'til you get to the bottomland.'
He's not entirely sure what he's hearing, but he catches a snippet as he passes the laundry room. Then, you start doing Orpheus' part and he stops outside the door to listen in.
'Wait for me, I'm coming. Wait, I'm coming with you. Wait for me, I'm coming, too. I'm coming, too.'
When go back into Hermes' part, he has to admit it's a weird-as-all-crap song. But the way you sing it is pretty, and he can't help but listen, especially when the chorus hits again.
'Wait for me, I'm coming. Wait, I'm coming with you. Wait for me, I'm coming, too. I'm coming, too.'
You do another Hermes part and the chorus again. Then, the song fades out. Sam's left with a reminder of how nice your voice is. You're just shocked at the fact that he didn't walk in the room and ask if a cat was dying.

Scott: We Both Reached For The Gun - Chicago
Your obsession with Chicago, while amusing, confuses Scott. Sure, he prefers it over certain other musicals, but it's not his favorite.
A benefit of this obsession, though, is getting to watch and listen to you singing this song - the whole thing, every part, by yourself. Your dancing makes the whole performance, if he's honest.
'Where'd you come from?' 'Mississippi.' 'And your parents?' 'Very wealthy.' 'Where are they now?' 'Six feet under.' 'But she was granted one more start.' 'The convent of The Sacred Heart!'
Technically, the song has four parts: the reporters, Billy, 'Roxie', and Mary Sunshine. And you do all of them in different voices, all of which make Scott laugh.
'He came toward me.' 'With the pistol?' 'From my bureau.' 'Did you fight him?' 'Like a tiger.' 'He had strength and she had none.' 'And yet we both reached for the gun.'
The next part is both your favorites. You because it's the catchiest part, and Scott because of the little dance you do.
'Oh, yes, oh, yes, oh, yes, we both, oh, yes, we both, oh, yes, we both reached for the gun, the gun, the gun, the gun, oh, yes, we both reached for the gun - for the gun.'
It repeats, then goes into the same formatting again, this time discussing Roxie's statement on the whole matter, a part you also like.
After the long, powerful note at the end, you finish the song and laugh at Scott laughing at you.

Steve: All I Ask of You (Reprise) - The Phantom of the Opera
Steve, having missed so much while being under the ice, has been subjected to many a thing by you. The Phantom of the Opera is one of them. And, for some reason, he liked this song more than all the others.
So, it kinda became your song.
No more talk of darkness. Forget these wide-eyed fears. I'm here, nothing can harm you. My words will warm and calm you. Let me be your freedom. Let daylight dry your tears. I'm here, with you, beside you, to guard you and to guide you.
It's just such a cute song. And, sure, the Phantom is being all creepy in the background, but disregarding that, it's a sweet love song that melted Steve's heart, much like your smile.
Say you love me every waking moment. Turn my head with talk of summertime. Say you need me with you now and always. Promise me that all you say is true. That's all I ask of you.
Do you sing it together? Admittedly, yes, when it comes on while you're playing your playlist. Would everyone tease the crap out of you if they found out? Probably, yes.
'Say you love me.' 'You know I do.' 'Love me - that's all I ask of you.' 'Anywhere you go, let me go, too.' 'Love me - that's all I ask of you.'
It's the perfect song for you, though, so you're willing to pay the price.

Stephen: Non-Stop - Hamilton
Stephen hates musicals. He just does; he can't stand them. You, however, love them. Most of the time, he leaves the room when you play show tunes, but if it's Hamilton, he can tolerate it. Because of this, that's all you really play, and when this song comes on...
Well, it'd be a crime to not go all out.
'Even though we started at the very same time, Alexander Hamilton began to climb. How to account for his rise to the top? Man, the man is non-stop.'
While your rapping is impressive, it's also incredibly amusing, considering you're doing multiple parts.
'I practiced the law, I practically perfected it. I've seen injustice in the world and I've corrected it. Now for a strong central democracy - if not, then I'll be Socrates throwing verbal rocks at these mediocrities.'
The best part, though, is the end when everyone's singing at once and you try to sing all the part simultaneously.
'He will never be satisfied. He will never be satisfied. Satisfied. Satisfied. He will never be satisfied. Satisfied. Satisfied. 'History has its eyes on you.' 'I am not throwin' away my shot. I am not throwin' away my shot. I am Alexander Hamilton. I am not throwin' away my shot.'
While you sit there trying to catch your breath, Stephen just laughs. "You could be on Broadway."
"Sh... Shut... up."

T'Challa: Way Down Hadestown - Hadestown
You and Shuri - and many others - agree that T'Challa is way too serious.
Sure, there's a time to be serious and a time to be silly, but for him, the time to be serious is almost 24/7.
So, one night, while he's reading, you turn on some music. He looks up at you, an eyebrow raised. "What are you doing?"
You walk over to him and hold out a hand. "Dance with me."
"Why?"
"Because you need to have fun for once in your life."
"Y/N-"
"T'Challa."
He can tell from your expression that he's not going to win this argument. "Fine." You grab his hand and pull him up, then go over to your phone to change the song, finding this one almost immediately.
'On the road to hell there was a railroad track.' 'Aw, come on!' 'And a train coming up from way down below.' 'That was not six months!' 'Better go and get your suitcase packed; guess it's time to go.'
The piano is bouncy and it's a fun song, but it's also confusing if you don't know what it's about. So, while you're singing and dancing with T'Challa, he has a perplexed look on his face.
"What is this?"
"Ancient Greek myth; it's a lot of things."
'Follow that dollar for a long way down, far away from the poorhouse door. Either get to Hell or to Hadestown - ain't no difference anymore! Way down Hadestown, way down under the ground!'
You try to do traditional ballroom dancing, only swapped - you spin him and all that [jazz]. And he actually starts laughing.
'Down there, it's a bunch of stiffs. Brother, I'll be bored to death. Gonna have to import some stuff just to entertain myself. Give me morphine in the tin. Give me a crate of the fruit of the vine. Takes a lot of medicine to make it through the wintertime.'
At a certain point, he realizes he's actually having fun spinning you around, getting his feet stepped on by "accident", and hearing you sing.
'Everybody hungry, everybody tired, everybody slaves by the sweat of his brow. The wage is nothing and the work is hard. It's a graveyard in Hadestown.'
After the song's over, you're laughing and out of breath. But that doesn't stop T'Challa from kissing you, wondering how it's possible to love a person this much.

Thor: Extraordinary - Pippin
He's new to Midguard, of course, so you take it upon yourself to introduce him to the world of musical theater.
And, boy, does he love it.
His favorite musical thus far is Pippin, and this is his favorite song.
Patching the roof and pitching the hay is not my idea of a perfect day. When you're extraordinary you gotta do extraordinary things. I'm not the type who loses sleep over the size of the compost heap. When you're extraordinary you think about extraordinary things.
You've caught him singing it on numerous occasions, mainly because he belts it out when- and wherever, regardless of who's around.
If the moat won't stop leaking, and the goat won't stop shrieking, and the griffin keeps losing its hair. If the west wing is rotting, and our best wine is clotting - well, I'm terribly sorry, but I don't care.
It's adorable, actually; he gets really into it and the smile on his face is the cutest. He's not the best actor in the world, but what he can do melts your heart, if you're honest.
Oh, give me my chance, and give me my wings, and don't make me think about everyday things. They're unnecessary to someone who is very extraordinary like me!
"How was that, Lady Y/N?" he asks.
You laugh. "Wonderful, Thor. You're pretty extraordinary."
To your surprise, he blushes. "Thank you..."

Tony: No One Else - Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812
He's working on a new suit when he decides to come upstairs for a lunch break. Halfway up, he hears music playing and someone singing.
A few seconds later, he realizes it's you.
First time I heard your voice moonlight burst into the room, and I saw your eyes, and I saw your smile... and the world opened wide.
He quietly creeps up the stairs, afraid that if you know he can hear you, you'll stop singing.
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you. Oh, the moon. Oh, the snow in the moonlight. And your childlike eyes and your distant smile - I'll never be this happy again. You and I... and no one else.
He smiles, listening to the lyrics and how pretty the song sounds when you sing it.
Maybe he'll come today. Maybe he came already, and he's sitting in the drawing room and I simply forgot.
He waits a little bit, then walks into the kitchen, pretending as if he heard nothing as he makes himself a sandwich.
Then Friday tells you the truth.
"Tony!"
"This is why I didn't say anything!"
