Summary: One of you gets startled.

QOTP: Do you get scared easily?

Word Count: 1073

Cas -

Your alarm goes off, and you debate on hitting snooze; you're not exactly in the mood today, and you currently have no responsibilities.

However, with this job and your abnormally tall brother who likes to search for cases, you soon might.

So, you get up, get dressed in something comfortable, and go to the kitchen to get breakfast.

Sam and Dean are in the library, scrolling through something on their computers. The former is wearing his robe. You mumble your "good morning"s to each other as you pass.

Once in the kitchen, you begin making yourself a cup of coffee/tea groggily. After stirring it, you grab your cup and turn to go sit with your brothers in the library.

However, there's an angel in your path.

You jump back and yelp, spilling your coffee/tea on yourself. You look back up at Castiel, who's holding a small box in his hand and looks apologetic. "Hi."

"You can just do that!" you shout, though you're not exactly mad.

Cas frowns. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I brought you breakfast." He holds out the small box, which actually contains a pastry.

Before you can say anything, Sam and Dean are running in. "What happened?" Dean asks, scanning the room. Then, he sees Cas and relaxes. "Oh. Hey, Cas."

"Hello, Dean," Cas replies.

You sigh and set your cup on the counter, leaving the room. "I need to change my shirt."

Sam and Dean look at Cas, confused. He sighs. "I scared her, and she spilled her drink on herself."

Dean laughs, then they hear a distant shout: "It's not funny, Dean!"

Dean -

Dean is suffering from a ghost disease known as Ghost Sickness (yes, the name is very creative). This means that, as time goes on, he's becoming increasingly jumpy and paranoid.

This is why, when trying to figure out what in the world is going on with the ghost that caused all this, Dean is antsy and refuses to carry a gun.

So, with his flashlight, he keeps close behind you as you follow Sam deeper into this abandoned wood mill.

"Do you see anything?" he asks nervously, peaking over your shoulder.

"Nothing out of the ordinary," Sam replies.

Then, you make your way into a room full of lockers.

One of them is making noise.

Dean looks absolutely freaked, meanwhile you and Sam are only mildly concerned. Sam looks at you, and you aim your gun at the locker, just in case. He's poised to open it. Dean's about to start biting his nails.

Sam counts, "One... two... three."

Before you can even register what just jumped out of the locker, you hear Dean shriek like a little girl. You quickly search for some sort of danger when you see a cat running across the floor. Dean leans on the lockers. "Whew," he says, breathless. "That was scary."

You sigh deeply and stick your gun back into your waistband. "The only scary part about that was how high your voice went."

Dean stops, looking genuinely scared. "You don't love me anymore, do you? I'm not brave anymore, I'm not cool anymore, I-"

You cut him off, walking over and kissing him. He calms down for a few seconds, then you pull away. "Dean, I still love you, okay? You being as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs changes absolutely nothing. Now, let's get a move on so we can cure you before I lose you."

He nods wordlessly and attempts to be brave for you for a few minutes, but eventually gets scared and cowers behind you again.

Jack -

You're sitting in the library with Jack, and he's telling you about a movie he watched yesterday. (He borrowed it from Sam, and Sam has a horrible taste in movies, which he's now imposing onto Jack).

You didn't get much sleep last night because you were on the internet, and you're absolutely exhausted.

As he's talking, you're fighting to keep your eyes open. He doesn't seem to notice as he explains the big fight scene at the end.

Your eyes finally close, and you're about to flop onto the table.

Jack continues talking. "And then the entire thing just went BOOM!" You jump at his sudden shout, and only then does he become suspicious. "Were you sleeping?" he asks.

"I was trying not to," you reply, rubbing your eyes. "It's not that I'm not interested; I just didn't get a lot of sleep last night."

Jack, surprisingly, smiles. "Then let's go take a nap!"

He grabs your hand, practically pulling you out of your chair. "You're way too energetic for a nap," you say.

He pulls you back to his room anyway, and you get under the covers. As soon as you get comfortable, you're out. Jack, however, takes a little bit longer to get to sleep.

He does, though, and soon after Sam finds you in there and takes a picture that you have yet to find out about.

Sam -

You're driving home from a case; both Sam and Dean were too tired to get behind the wheel, and you convinced Dean to let you drive with the promise of a nap.

Dean was out in the backseat a few minutes after you left. Sam, however, manages to stay awake so you won't get bored on the three hour ride home.

Eventually though, during a lull in conversation, he falls asleep. You don't notice until you ask him a question and he doesn't answer. "Sam?" you ask. No reply. You look over at him. "Sam?"

When you turn back to the road, you're about to run a red light. You slam on the brake, causing Sam to jolt forward, startled. "Y/N!"

"Sorry!"

Then, you hear groaning from the backseat; when you hit the brake, Dean rolled into the floor. "This is why I didn't want you to drive my car!"

"Too late now," you reply, driving through the intersection when the light turns green,

"It'll really be too late when you crash," Sam says.

"Have more faith in me, Sammy," you reply. "I'll just... keep my eyes on the road this time."

Dean sighs heavily as he climbs back onto the seat.
