QOTP: Do you babysit?

Word Count: 1234

Cas -
Two of your hunter friends from the pre-Winchester era of your life ended up getting married and have kids. Twins, actually. Scarlett and Spencer.

Long story short, you met up again after the fact and now you, they, and the Winchesters go on the more difficult hunts together. Usually demons.

The problem with that is, someone has to watch Scarlett and Spencer. Jodie's done it the last few times, but this time, Claire's going on the hunt, too. Dean pointed out how much they like you, so everyone else said you should watch them.

You made Cas stay with you, considering he has no idea what's going on anyway.

Now, here you are, listening to the shouting erupting from Dean's Fortress of Dean-itude.

"No, I'm not!"

"Yes, you are!"

"No, I'm not!"

"Yes, you are!"

"NO! I'M! NOT!"

Cas sighs. "Why can't they just act like civilized adults?"

You snort. "Because they're children." You don't even know what they're fighting about, but the shouting's been going on for about ten minutes.

"YES! YOU! ARE!"

"How do we make it stop?" Cas asks with his head on the table.

You shrug. "I dunno. I've never had kids."

He thinks for a few, long minutes. "Human children like ice cream."

You stand. "Sounds like a plan." Once you reach the mouth of the hallway, you shout, "SCARLETT! SPENCER!"

"WHAT?!"

"DO YOU WANT TO GO GET ICE CREAM?!"

You hear excited shouts, a few angry ones (i.e. "STOP PUSHING ME!"), and footsteps like a hoard of elephants.

You sigh. "I'm gonna be a great mom."

Dean -
Your not-hunter sister had a baby eight months ago, and, after some persuasion on your part, decided to take a quiet with her husband and let you babysit.

You love your nephew. A lot.

But you're starting to realize why your sister needed a break.

"Please stop crying, Peter," you beg. "Your diaper is cleaned, I just fed and burped you, and I've given you your binky and teething ring. What more do you want?"

The baby only cries harder in response.

"DEAN, HELP!" you shout, exasperated.

Dean runs in the room, armed and freaked out. "WHAT?! WHAT IS IT?!"

"The baby won't stop crying," you say, bouncing gently with said baby in your arms.

Dean sighs and tucks his gun back in his waistband. "You know, I thought something was in here killing you."

"My back is killing me," you shoot back, holding Peter out. "Hold him for a second. I'm gonna go look in his diaper bag for a toy or something."

Dean hesitantly takes Peter. "Don't poop on me, kid, and we'll get along just fine."

You playfully roll your eyes and walk out. About ten minutes later, you come back frustrated and empty-handed, only to hear someone blowing a raspberry.

Then, the cutest laughter in the world.

The baby is laying on a blanket on the floor, and Dean is leaning over him, blowing raspberries into his stomach and making him laugh hysterically.

Your heart melts instantly. Dean looks up at you, grinning. "I got him to stop crying."

"Marry me right now," you say.

He laughs and picks up Peter, then walks over and kisses you on the cheek. "Let me buy a ring first." He turns to Peter. "I think it's time for your nap, so I'm gonna put you down now. Are you gonna be a man about it?" Peter babbles and Dean smiles. "Atta boy."

Jack -
Sam and Dean left you to babysit a child.

With a child.

One of your hunter friends has a four year old named Annabelle, and she needed a babysitter. So, of course, Sam and Dean left Annabelle with you and Jack while they went off on a hunt.

Jack's been wary of Annabelle all day, considering he has no idea how to take care of a child, so you've been basically doing this by yourself.

Then, Annabelle wants ice cream.

And you're all out.

"Jack, I'm running to the grocery store. Watch her for, like, five minutes."

"What?" Jack says, instantly panic-stricken. "You're leaving me alone with her?!"

"The grocery store is right down the road, Jack. She wants ice cream," you say. Crying over the lack of said ice cream can be heard in the background.

"Why can't you take her with you?"

"I don't have her carseat."

"Why can't I go get the ice cream?" Jack further argues.

"Because you can't drive," you reply, ending the discussion. You turn back towards the kitchen, where Annabelle is. "Annabelle, I'm going to get ice cream, and Jack's gonna stay with you here, okay?!"

"O-Okay!"

Jack looks at you, wide-eyed. "What do I do?"

You shrug. "Play with her. Hold her. Whatever she wants."

"But I can't take care of a child!"

You sigh. "Jack, you're a child. You'll get along great."

"But-"

You start to walk towards the garage, where your old, crappy car is parked. "Bye! Be back in five!"

Annabelle comes into the room, sniffling. Jack looks at her, terrified. She runs to him, bursting into tears again over nothing and clinging to him like a koala. Jack hesitantly wraps his arms around her. "H-Hi."

"I-I w-want i-i-ice cream."

"Y/N just went to get ice cream."

"Wh-When will sh-she be b-back?"

"Soon," Jack replies. "I hope."

////

"Found you!" you hear when you walk in, closely followed by a delighted squeal. Ice cream in hand, you make your way into the library. Jack is crawling out from under a table while Annabelle laughs with joy.

"I'm back," you say, your heart warming at the sight in front you.

Annabelle turns and runs to you, already reaching for the ice cream in your hands. "Y/N!"

Jack gets off the floor and walks over to you. You cock a brow. "I see what a nightmare the past fifteen minutes have been for you. You poor thing."

"Actually, it was fun! We played this game called hide and seek the whole time you were gone."

"Jack isn't very good at it," Annabelle comments, causing you to laugh.

Sam -
Babysitting your brother's baby has proven to be not so difficult so far. Or, at least, not as difficult as you thought. You fed her, burped her, and put her down for a nap. She's cried a couple times, but not for very long.

Calling Sam in for reinforcements might not've been necessary.

Until...

"Do you smell that?" you suddenly ask, holding baby Violet in your arms.

Sam's sitting next to you on the couch, and he lies through his teeth. "No."

"How do you not smell that?" you argue, sniffing the air, then promptly throwing up in your mouth.

"Maybe you should check her diaper..." Sam suggests, trailing off.

You look down at Violet with dread, then back at Sam. "You check."

Sam gives you an incredulous look. "No, you."

"No, you."

"You."

"You."

Sam finally sighs. "Rock, Paper, Scissors?"

You relent. "Fine. Best two out of three."

You play with one hand, winning the first and third round. Sam groans. "Why?"

You hold Violet out to Sam, who gags. "Her diapers are in her diaper bag by the door. Have fun."
