Dream Boy | Peter Parker
The last imagine in Book One! One more part, and that will be the end. I have quite the concept for the last preference...
Summary: You're obsessed with Spiderman, and you're also friends with Peter Parker. He has a huge crush on you, but he hasn't told you he's Spiderman yet.
QOTP: Karen or Edith?
Word Count: 1370
You've known Peter Parker since freshmen year. You had Biology with him, and, after the teacher sat you next to each other, something just seemed to click. You became instant friends.
Now, years later, you've both developed feelings for each other. And, funnily enough, you developed quite the liking for Queen's resident hero, Spiderman.
Out of all the heroes ever, he's your favorite. He is the one thing you and Flash Thompson can agree on. You watch conspiracy theory videos about him (mostly all of them discussing who he is and/or where he came from), you follow a Spiderman Updates page on Twitter, and sometimes you just go walking around Queens to see if you can spot him. And when Ned told you Peter knew Spiderman through the Stark Internship, you asked him a thousand questions.
And then there's your birthday party this year.
It's a small thing, just cake and movies at your apartment with your friends. Betty Brant and a few people from the Decathlon team show up, including MJ. Peter and Ned arrive together, their eyes widening when they walk in.
It's Spiderman themed.
There's a Spiderman Happy Birthday banner, red and blue balloons, Spiderman cups, plates, and napkins.
And the cake.
The cake.
You run over, smiling when you see them walk in. "Hey! I'm so glad you guys could make it!"
Ned nods, trying to hold back laughter at the irony of the situation. "Uh huh." Peter's still looking at the cake.
You notice the expression on his face. "Oh, I'm sorry. This must be weird for you since you, like, know him."
Peter looks up at you. "Wh-What? N-No, it's fine. You don't have to apologize. I just... I didn't really expect this."
"Yeah," you sigh. "When I bought the stuff, the cashier asked me how old my little brother was turning," you reply. Ned laughs.
"No, I-I think it's cool," Peter says seriously. "It's really cool."
At that moment, someone else arrives, so you excuse yourself to greet them. Ned turns to Peter. "Dude."
"I know," Peter replies, whispering.
"This is why you need to tell her you're Spiderman; she'll totally want to date you, Peter," Ned says. He gestures to the party. "You've practically got her already."
Peter shakes his head, frowning. "No. No, I don't wanna do that. I just wanna... be myself."
"Peter, no one wants that."
"Well, maybe Y/N does," Peter mumbles.
The party soon begins, starting with pizza, then cake, then presents. MJ got you a Spiderman action figure — mostly as a joke — and a gift card for your favorite store. Ned just gave you money, seeing as he was afraid of giving you something you didn't like.
Peter, after spending days thinking about what to get you, got you a necklace shaped like your favorite flower and some of your favorite candy.
Then, after a few people have to leave, the movies begin, and (thankfully) you aren't watching anything related to Spiderman.
Peter sits next to you, his arm resting on the back of the couch behind you. He's nervous just doing that, even though he's not touching you at all. You scoot a little closer to him, a bowl of popcorn resting in your lap.
He glances over at you and scoots closer, too, clearing his throat as he tries to be casual about it. You quietly laugh at him and how obvious he was, then scoot even closer, resting your head on his shoulder. He freezes, shocked, butterflies fluttering all around his stomach. He moves his arm down off the back of the couch to rest on your shoulders. You smile.
At the end of the night, he and Ned are the last to leave. Peter gives a Ned a look, so Ned goes to wait in the hall. Peter turns back to you. "So, um... I, uh..." He clams up, then changes what he was really going to say to you. "Thanks for, uh, inviting me."
You smile. "Thanks for coming." He nods awkwardly, hesitating before he goes to leave. After working up the courage, you stop him. "Peter." He turns. You ask, "Are you free this weekend?"
He blushes, smiles. "Ye-Yeah, I think I am."
"Well, then, would you... want to go out with me... this weekend?"
He smiles even wider. "Yeah. Yeah, I would like that a lot."
You smile, too. "Great. Then, I'll text you."
"Yeah, okay."
"Okay."
"Um... bye."
"Bye."
Both of you can't stop yourselves from grinning after that.

You've been going out with Peter for three months now, and it's been amazing. He's literally the sweetest boy you've ever met, and he likes you — a lot.
Which is why he's finally decided to tell you that he's Spiderman.
He calls you and tells you to come over, saying he has something he needs to tell you. He sounded nervous, and, the whole way there, you can't help but think that he's going to break up with you. Your eyes are watering by the time you knock on his door.
He opens it. "Hey, Y/N- are you crying?" He gently pulls you inside and closes the door behind you, then puts his hands on your shoulders, looking at you with concern-filled eyes. "What's wrong?"
"You said we needed to talk," you reply, "and I thought you were going to break up with me. Now, I'm not so sure..." The way he reacted to seeing you almost in tears almost completely disproved the notion in your eyes.
He hugs you to him immediately. "What? No! Why would I break up with you? I'm the luckiest guy in the world just knowing you."
You smile, wiping your eyes a little, then pull away. "So, what was it you wanted to tell me?"
He frowns. "Right. That. Um... Give me a second." He turns and goes into his room, closing the door. He's in there for a good five minutes before he opens the door again. You gasp when you see him.
He's wearing the Spiderman suit. Not just a Spiderman suit, the Spiderman suit. You'd recognize it anywhere.
"Oh, my gosh," you say.
"What d'ya think?" It's definitely Peter's voice behind the mask.
You walk over to him, amazed that you're looking at the Spiderman suit — at Spiderman — up close in person. "I'm thinking that you should've told me this sooner."
He chuckles, then sighs. "I... I didn't tell you before because... I wanted you to like Peter. Not Spiderman."
Your face softens. "Peter... I already liked you before Spiderman. I mean, why wouldn't I? You're the sweetest boy I've ever met, you're incredibly kind and thoughtful, and you're funny and nerdy and smart and wonderful, and, as an added bonus, you're really cute. You're the total package — and that doesn't even include Spiderman." You laugh a little, then gently take his mask off, putting your hands on his shoulders as he'd done to you before. "Peter Parker, you are literally my dream boy."
He's blushing fiercely as he looks in your eyes and quietly asks, "Really?"
You smile. "Really." With that, you press your lips to his, pulling him closer to you. He smiles into the kiss, wrapping his arms around you.
You pull away, stepping back a little and looking at him in the suit. It's then that it really hits you that Peter is Spiderman. Your boyfriend is Spiderman. "Oh, my gosh. This is crazy. This is insane."
He laughs. "Yeah, I know."
"You're literally Spiderman."
"Yep."
Suddenly, your eyes widen in horror. "My birthday party was you themed."
He laughs even harder. "I know. I couldn't believe it. Ned could barely stop himself from laughing."
"Oh, my gosh..."
He shrugs. "It was adorable, though."
"You're having a me themed party next year."
He continues to laugh. "How?"
"Figure it out, Parker!"
