• dream recently discovers you when you were beginning to grow rapidly.

• it was kinda surprising because he always listens to rap. it was the first time in years he heard of bedroom pop/ indie rock... but the moment he heard your voice, he was hooked.

• he feels a certain type of way when the instruments come and enter his eardrums. your songs were all feel-good songs. the vibe really chills down when the interlude arrives, and your calm and passionate voice is a sweet cherry on top.

• he doesn't share this with his friends AT FIRST though. it's not that he's ashamed of the fact that he's listening to you, he wants to call it gatekeeping. he thinks he's cool because he's one of the first among his streamer friends to listen to your wonderful voice.

• he thinks about it a lot. he listens to your music, headphones in his ears, staring up at the ceiling while patches is curling beside him.

• meanwhile you're just a regular person who has been blessed by the algorithm and now people like you. your audience got bigger like a fucking snowball that was rolling down the huge mountain.

• there were stan accounts of you, update accounts, impersonating accounts on twitter, instagram, youtube, and even tumblr. fanfiction and fanart of you exist as well. it's the internet.

• dream then thought that fuck it, he doesn't care anymore. he openly expresses his love for youR MUSIC. yes! just your music!! he loves it!!

• his fans call cap. some of your old fans try to gatekeep him away from you because it's fucking dream. shit that's the guy who cheated on a block game.

• BUT WHAT DREAM didn't know was that you have been a fan of him and his block game since the beginning!!

• you randomly found his cursed minecraft video on your youtube recommended and the rest was history. whenever he uploads another manhunt, you're on the edge of your seat, nervous, but your bet is always on dream winning.

• you can only lurk from your alt account on twitter to not endanger him. you felt like the moment the two of you interacted, it could cause some chaos. negativity will sprout from the fucking corners and start attacking dream for no reason. you didn't want that for him.

• you've discovered that he's a funny guy, his voice is hot- ehem anyway, he's pretty good at the game, and a kindhearted person towards his friends and fans. you admire that.

• now we are all in a situation where the both of you wanted to badly just- dm each other. if only it was that simple.

• the dreamify account getting tired of updating one night because the same night you released the album, he binged the rest of your other EPs.

• when sapnap began living with dream, he wanted to chill one afternoon, so what better than to relax with music? "hey, dream, play some tunes."

• he contemplated for a bit, but dream decided to play one of his favorite songs that makes him want to dance.

• when dream heard your voice, he tried to be as neutral as possible as he was scrolling through his phone, but he was sneakily glancing at sapnap to see the changes in his facial expression.

• at first, sapnap was indifferent, but when he heard your voice, his head slightly perked up. his eyebrows furrowed in slight confusion before looking at dream. "is that y/n?"

• "what?" he was on the verge of laughing. "how'd you know?"

• "uh?? you don't shut up about her? your spotify wrapped is gonna be... i dont know, i don't wanna say fucked. if you really like her, i'm not gonna judge. her songs are nice, but i've only heard like- two-"

• dream stands up so abruptly from his chair and marches towards where sapnap was. sapnap was trembling a bit as dream's shadow looms creepily over him. he immediately ordered sapnap to listen to more of your songs.

• "it's good but it's not just my style, you know?" sapnap says after they listen to your most popular single.

• "shut the fuck up, it's more than good!" dream rushes to defend you.

• "you're down bad."

• "i'm not! her music is just- amazing. doesn't it make you feel amazing? it's amazing that she made her newest album all by herself! she played all the instruments, edited it all, and she didn't need any help! she's just-" dream sighs dreamily, "amazing."

• "you just said 'amazing' like- 5 times." sapnap says while he went back to his phone.

• "what the fuck, sapnap, delete the tweet," dream says as he watched the comments talk about him simping over you- which is true, he will admit- but they didn't need to rub it in.

• "i want them to know. it's not like you're ashamed of the fact that she's your favorite artist, right?"

• "and what if she sees the tweet?"

• "well, that would be hilarious." sapnap chuckled. "is she even following my private account? i hope she does."

• dream rolls his eyes and dropped the subject. he doesn't want to get more annoyed with his dick of a roommate.

• the hype of your newest album still hasn't died down and it's been days, woo!

• he wanted to blast ur songs in his streams, but he's afraid of dmca so he can't. he badly wanted to just mute his mic and listen to your music as he plays. it helps him to easily do the tricks if he can move to a beat.

• after streaming though, he went through twitter and saw that the name of your recent album was trending. he went through it and was so happy seeing the other people appreciating your music.

• because of your growing success, you've been getting booked for interviews left and right. they were all posted on youtube and other video sites that you might not even check because they're that desperate.

• you have done singing streams and virtual concerts that dream surely livetweets

• many of his fans telling him that he's "down bad" and dream just plays along with the bit- is it really all just a bit?

• dream was watching the new interview you had that definitely piqued his interest, solely from the title itself,

• "do you feel like you can do this job forever? or do you want to branch out?"

• "well, first of all it's not a job-" you corrected lightheartedly, making the interviewer chuckle. "yeah i- i stream my singing online, so i don't see why i can't also play video games with friends... maybe? who knows?"

• "ooh, playing video games have been kind of the 'trend' lately," the person crosses their legs. "i'm sure you've heard about gaming communities, specifically minecraft."

• "minecraft! nostalgic." that was all you had to say about it, but the interviewer wants to stretch the topic for longer.

• "have you- have you ever heard of the dream smp? dream?"

• you were confused why he was suddenly the topic of your conversation. you looked to the side where your agent was who had no clue who dream was. she gave you a stern gaze as if warning you to watch your words.

• meanwhile, dream felt like he was about to combust when he heard his online name in the interview. he waited on bated breath for your answer.

• you contemplated for a bit before displaying an apologetic smile. "no, i'm sorry! who are they?"

• the interviewer tried their best to explain to you who dream was, even though you already knew. you tried your best to remain interested and uninterested at the same, while dream was breaking down overdramatically.

• he wanted to go dark.
