↳ part 2 babeyyy
The next morning was like any other, but this time, you haven't received any texts from Phineas yet. Usually he would ask any form of assistance from you for their projects, but today seemed to be different. You didn't want to go there by yourself because if you did and they weren't actually there, you would have just wasted your time and energy. And if their family happens to be away, he'd tell you sooner rather than later.
So instead, you found yourself staring a random wall of your room, the pencil rolling on your fingers. You thought about the conversation you had with your dear friend Baljeet yesterday and hoped that things haven't changed. You have to admit, your reasonings were lame but that's because you didn't want to tell him the real reason why you were kind of avoiding him. It would just turn everything more awkward as it is. You were really grateful that he didn't use the ray on you for that.
A sudden knock on the front door of your house had interrupted your train of thoughts and you hastily stood up. You walked towards the door and opened it, revealing none other than the 'friend' you were thinking about so badly.
"Baljeet!" You squeaked in surprise. He was rarely at your house because you were always at his, so this was honestly a shock. "What are you doing here?"
You noticed that he was breathing heavily, looking like he ran a marathon before going here. He was sweating profusely, and he wasn't wearing his usual jumper. Instead, he donned a comfy sweater and jeans, but his curls were still styled the same which you appreciate.
"Baljeet?" You called again, seeing that he wasn't responding the first time.
"Y/N..." He cleared his throat. "I... Would you... like to come with me to this-- uh... fair?"
"I would love to!" You exclaimed, not even thinking twice. You didn't know if this was a friendly date or a romantic one, but either way you'll take it. An afternoon with Baljeet at one of the places you liked most is going to be fun. "Let me just change." You smiled at him before leaving the door open for him to come in. Baljeet closed the door behind him and patiently waited as you picked out the outfit that you are going to wear.
After a few minutes, the two of you finally left the locked house and let him lead the way.
"Where was the fair, by the way? I didn't see any posters." You remarked.
Baljeet looked sheepish. "A-actually, this was created by Phineas and Ferb and wanted to invite us..."
"Huh," you let out, thinking about how this may be the reason that Phineas didn't text you this morning. "Kind of surprising that he didn't tell me about it." You decided to voice out your opinion.
He remained silent, while the both of you continue walking to the boys' neighbourhood. Eventually a large ferris wheel had come into view. It was touching the sky and clouds. From here, it was already huge. What more could it be when seen upfront?
Finally, you and Baljeet saw the lines of people waiting for their respective rides. It was quite long, so you might be here for a while.
You both went to rides and games, winning each and every one of them. It all won you prizes of candies that you and Baljeet got to eat right after, except for that one game when you had won a large stuffed bunny. Now you had to carry it everywhere. Even in the mini rollercoaster, the large bunny unfortunately came between you and Baljeet.
Finally, the two of you decided to wait for the Ferris Wheel, standing with the people and their friends. Baljeet then decided that he should go for a small talk with you, to try and avoid being awkward.
"How are you?"
"I'm doing okay!" You answered almost immediately. "How about you? How are... things?" You instinctively crossed your arms as the two of you followed behind the person in front of you.
"I'm doing fine as well. It was kind of surprising that we didn't hang out this morning."
You nearly snorted, but you remained amused. "What, you've missed me already?"
Baljeet's face turned beetroot red, but he wasn't afraid to tell you that it was true. "I do, actually."
You smiled at his confidence, having notice of your cheeks heating up as well. Eventually, you had to pull the large bunny as the two of you were at the front and Phineas was there, handling the crowd. You just had to wait for another cart to be emptied until you get to go in. They still have one more loop before coming out.
"Hey, Phineas." You smiled at him.
"Oh hi, Y/N! Hi, Baljeet! You guys are here!"
"Indeed we are. How come you didn't tell me all of this?" You asked.
"Well, we didn't want to bother you. Plus, Candace was already lending us a helping hand."
You shook your head. "Wait, Candace? Helping you? Impossible."
"Oh, but it is possible." Phineas held a finger up. "She even came up with this idea!"
"Really..." you trailed off. "What did you think was the reason?"
Phineas only shrugged at your question before the Ferris Wheel stopped because the last cart had finished its turn. He opened the door for the couple inside and they went out, going to their merry ways. "You're next!" Phineas refers to the two of you.
You and Baljeet carefully walked up the stairs with your huge toy in tow. You let it sit beside you whilst Baljeet was in the opposite of you, sitting by himself.
"Have fun! Take your time." Phineas smiled, but you had a feeling that there was something mischievous behind it. The moment he closed the metal doors, the machine began moving.
"This is nice," Baljeet commented, both of his hands on the cold metal bench.
You nodded in agreement and cuddled with your bunny, unaware of a pair of eyes longing for that kind of treatment. He kind of wished he was the cuddly bunny.
The cart was gradually reaching the top, stopping every once in a while for the passengers who had had their trip. You and Baljeet would make small talks either topics about your homework or the future. Either way it was stressful so you decided to change the topic.
"Thank you for inviting me here, Baljeet." You smiled at him. "It was really nice of you for thinking of me."
"Thank you for accepting my invite." He said, with a tone much more grateful than yours, if it was possible. "I didn't think you would come with me because you'd think this was a date..." he trailed off.
Your eyes widened in surprise. "This was a... date?" You unintentionally voiced out your opinion.
Baljeet had his eyebrows raised as well. "I-I mean... I'm so sorry, I don't- I thought-" He began to ramble while you tried your best to hide the red in your cheeks.
He cut himself off, because if he doesn't, he might say something he'll regret. But in this moment of the two of you high in the clouds with the sun coming down providing the loveliest sunset ever, he feels like he needs to say it before it's all to late.
"Y/N..."
You looked at hin expectantly, hoping to get an explanation from him. Is he feeling the same?
"I-"
PEW !
You felt the machine you were in vibrate, grumbling and shaking from the mysterious ray that came out from nowhere.
The cart stopped moving, situated directly at the top. It wiggled back and forth for a bit before it completely stayed in place. "What just happened?" You expressed.
"I-I don't know," Baljeet answered, panic slowly crawling through his body. He carefully looked out the transparent panes that covered around the cart and saw the entirety of the fair, with the people on the ground looking up at them with worry and curiosity. "I'm sure Phineas and Ferb can handle it."
"We're stuck here? That sucks." You remarked, slouching on the bench you were sitting on, leaning on your stuffed bunny.
Baljeet nodded. "I guess so. Um-"
The whole Ferris Wheel was wobbling and you and Baljeet had to hold onto your benches for your lives until the impossible happened. Magically, the Ferris Wheel started rolling off from its initial place. The round metal began to weave its way to the uptown, downtown, everywhere. It was like the Bowl O'Rama all over again.
"Gang," Phineas call onto his friends. "Let's go and save Y/N and Baljeet!" They all went to their signature rides and went to chase after the large Ferris Wheel that was apparently touring around the town.
Meanwhile, you and Baljeet found yourselves clutching to the bunny. It was large enough to be able to grab onto while the wheel was aggressively turning you here and there.
You screamed in annoyance. You hate being dizzy, and right now the wheel is doing that to you. At the same time, you felt panic in your throat. What if this Ferris Wheel is going to be the cause of your death? It may just crash into a building and give you a random concussion or worse, death. You can't just open the metal doors while the machine is still twisting around. Maybe the only hope you'll have is the Wheel ending up in the docks or beach so that you'll be able to escape through the water. But will you have enough time to make a getaway without drowning?
You heard other screams from people who were stuck on the ride with you. You blocked them out, because you didn't want to be more scared than you've already been.
You glanced at Baljeet at the other side of the bunny. He had the same expression as you, frightened and anxious. Without thinking, you grabbed his hand and held it tightly, him squeezing back.
The Wheel had ventured to most places you could ever think of; the mall, a random concert, even at a tall building where it rolled on the side of it.
You kept screaming at every turns, not knowing when's it gonna stop. Baljeet screamed with you, even shouting out for his mom. You would've laughed at this if it weren't for the circumstances you both were in.
"Y/N!" You heard him yell.
"Baljeet!" You bellowed at the same tone as him.
"I want you to know something before this Ferris Wheel might kill us!"
"What is it? OW!" You winced at the bump of the road. You might've hit something with the back of your head.
This situation has given Baljeet a new surge of confidence. Knowing that this maybe the last time you and him will see each other dreaded him, so he had to take the chance and tell you how he feels. "Y/N, I really, really like yOU!"
It's not that you didn't hear it; you heard it perfectly clear. You just couldn't believe that he felt the same way. Now that you know, you never have to worry about anything. "I'm glad you told me!" You yelled with a smile on your face. "Because I really, really like you too!"
"Really?!"
"Yes!" You laughed with him. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?!"
"I was scared! But nothing's scarier than this!" Baljeet exclaimed, clutching onto your hand and the bunny tighter. You screamed as you braced for impact, the Wheel turned until it crashed to a large rock in a park.
"Good job, Ferb!" You heard Phineas' voice.
You and Baljeet were breathing heavily, waiting as the boys assisted the remaining passengers out of the carts. The two of you finally got out, with your prized bunny behind. Your eyes scanned the park with heavy eyes because to be honest, this was a very tiring day.
Your legs wobbled from the ride, and your head was still spinning. Baljeet followed you to the grass and the two of you sat down together, both feeling exhausted.
Unknowingly, you and Baljeet watched the sunset. The bunny was in your laps, acting as a blanket while the two of you leaned towards each other, heads bumping slightly.
"That was an... interesting experience," you remarked.
"Agreed."
"Still," you reached for his hand. "It was very fun." He didn't say anything which turned into silence. "Did you mean it?" You asked after a moment.
Baljeet knew that you were talking about his confession, and it made him gulp. "Did you?"
"Don't turn this on me." You muttered in amusement, eyes closing.
You then felt Baljeet sigh beside you before he nodded. "Yes. I do mean it. I like you very much, Y/N."
It brought a huge smile to your face when he said that. "Then, I am proud to say that the feeling is mutual."

Your friends + Candace watched as the two of you were watching the sunset.
"This scene seemed awfully familiar," Isabella noted.
"Did you mean the time when Baljeet went and hung out with his childhood friend, Mishti? Yes, yes it is." Ferb pointed out.
Candace began to push the group away. "Okay, nothing to see here. We all know my plan worked so let's just go home and celebrate."
Isabella smiled. "Yeah, I think my mom's making tacos."
"Yum!" The group replied in unison.
