"See you soon- BYE!" He screamed before changing the scene and ending the stream.

Alex typed something first into his computer before briefly putting it to sleep. As always, he stretched for a moment and stared at the ceiling, thanking his fans who have been there since the beginning and how he had come so far, knowing that he wasn't alone because he always got you by his side. He let out a sigh of relief once he realized how lucky he was, and he couldn't have accomplished it if it wasn't for his friends, family, fans, and you to support him through thick and thin.

Finally, he stood up from his chair and opened the door of the room he is streaming in. Alex decided to grab something to eat so he pulled out his phone and ordered something through delivery service. Once he chose his dinner, he eventually went to his contacts and pressed your number. It rang for a few times before coming to a voicemail. Well, that's strange. You'd always answer his calls whenever he ends streaming.

He switched to Discord and saw that you were idle. Still, he wanted to call you. The tone rang in his ear but you still haven't answered. Maybe you accidentally fell asleep?

Alex didn't pay no heed and tried to understand that perhaps you're too busy at the moment and decided to just wait both for his food and for your call back.

***

The food soon arrived and now Alex found himself sitting there on the kitchen counter, silently devouring on the quesadillas when all of a sudden, he heard the chime from his phone. He immediately checked your text saying, 'hey sorry can you call?'

It seemed urgent so Alex deliberately did so, dialing your number through facetime and hearing you instantly pick up. He saw your smile straightaway, making him smile as well. "Hi," he said, his mouth half full. "I'm eating!"

"Ooh!" You teased. "Whatcha eatin'?"

"These-" Alex coughed into his sleeve for a bit, almost choked on the bread. "I'm kinda pulverizing these fucking quesadillas right now." He saw you wince but he didn't felt the need to comment on it. He was still worried though. "What are you up to?"

"I saw your missed calls, Alex. Sorry for not answering."

"It's okay," he reassured before munching on the last bite of his meal. "Wanna tell me what happened?" Alex gently spoke, giving you his full attention once he realized you were looking quite uneasy.

You smiled at him for being so annoyingly observant. "Uh huh." A shy grin went past your lips. "Are you excited for the 14th?"

"Hell yeah! It's in 2 weeks, right?" You chuckled at his obvious question. "Why? Are you excited?"

"Of course I am! We finally get to meet! Pog!" The light in your eyes were genuine and your cheeks were slightly red from embarrassment. "You're staying here for one whole week, correct?"

"Yes."

"No backing out? Like- you're sure you're free for the whole week? I mean, you said so yourself so I doubt-"

"Y/N. I will make to sure that that week is going to be the best week of our lives. I'm thinking about Domino's Pizza at 2am in our fucking pajamas, karaoke until our voice runs out, stream horror games, and more!"

His wide smile was so contagious that it made you smile as well- laugh, even. All the wonderful possibilities with this beanie boy, in just two weeks, will eventually come to life.

You suddenly let out a laugh from panic. A hand nervously ran through your hair as you stared at Alex from your phone. "There's just... one thing."

"What is it?" He carefully popped open a can of soda, but his eyes were still on you.

Watching his every move, you took a deep breath. "You see, the reason why I haven't been answering your calls was that I was already on one. With... my mom."

"Yeah? What happened?" Alex took a sip. He saw your nervous smile fighting the frown off your face.

"She's also gonna be visiting me on the 14th."

Pfft !!

Boom. Coke is everywhere. Alex pounded on his chest as he coughed very obnoxiously. You panicked for a bit at him "Are you okay?! Are you dying?"

"I-" Another fit of coughing ensued. He groaned once it was over. "Uh..." You waited for what he has to say. "She's coming too?"

"Yeah. So," Your smile fell. "Are you still going?"

Alex furrowed his eyebrows. He really wanted to come and see you but from the sounds of it, you weren't that ready for him to meet your mom yet. "Y/N. If you'd like, I don't have to-"

"Believe me, I want you to." You explained before he gets to cancel. "I've wanted you to meet my mom for a while, and now that the opportunity is there, might as well come and see her. Right?" You put on a reassuring smile.

"Yeah, yeah! I'd love to meet her." He smiled genuinely.

"Then it's settled."

Your heart skipped a beat at the thought of Alex finally getting to meet the woman who took care of you as you grew up. The woman who have always given you advice and who have always supported your decisions other than Alex himself. On the 14th, you wanted to let your mother know that this is the man you fell in love with.

But it suddenly dawned on you that one specific detail that you have to remind him. You see, you have been in calls with Alex so many times up to the point where you have copied his mannerisms, including the swearing every second.

Sometimes it'll be under your breath, but more and more you could potentially scream out 'Fuck!' whenever you forget something or you just wanted to pent out the exhaustion.

Now you ask, 'What's the problem with that?'

Well, growing up, your mother was very strict with language. When you were 8, you learned the word 'shit' from the internet. You casually said it out loud and you swore you could feel the knives on the back of your head as your mom glared at you. She'd pinched your arm and call you by your full name.

Alex, on the other hand, truly has an attitude of putting every other curse in his sentences, especially when he's streaming. There's never a phone call where he's not swearing like a sailor. With you, obviously it's fine. But with your mom? Who knows what she would say and do. "Alex?" You began.

"Mmm?" He said whilst munching on his fries.

"There's this one thing I ask of you."

"Anything," he said as he successfully discarded his jacket he wore on stream.

You grin. "I just want you to know that my mother doesn't like swearing, so you think you could..." you shrugged as if he already know what that means.

"Your mother is BadBoyHalo?!" He dramatically leaned forward in interest as he raised his eyebrows.

You rolled your eyes. "You have to learn to control your swearing, okay? We have to impress my mother I guess."

Alex nodded in confirmation. "True. Ugh, now I have to put a counter up when I do my cooking stream!"

You laughed at this. "When are you gonna do it?"

"Mmh," He whined. "Actually I have to do one more stream before I actually do the cooking one. And maybe I'd stream two or more next week, so uh- I have to stream so many times before the 14th!"

"Oh my, good luck." You laughed at his pout. "Maybe you could get Bad to assist you."

"Ugh-"

"Okay, I'll help you. If you get below- mmm maybe 15? If you get below 16 swears, I'll gift the subs. But if you get past 16, you gift them. Deal?"

Alex's mouth formed an 'O'. "Deal!"

QuackityHQ is live: MINECRAFT WITH KARL JACOBS BUT IF I CURSE I GIFT SO MANY SUBS!!

"Elloooo, chatters of the world!" Quackity screamed over the MIDI version of YMCA. "Hi, chat! How you doing! Oh my- look at all the primes!" He clapped so many times before cheering. "Yes sir! Chat 📣 is📣 popping 📣 off!

Today we're gonna beat Minecraft but if I curse I will gift so many subs. Ohhh, God."

He set the counter of 0/15.

The chaos ensued after that. Chat kept jebaiting him into thinking that he swore as Quackity begged them that he didn't Eventually, you appeared in chat and spammed:

He glanced at the right time and saw your messages. "Y/N, shut-up!"

peaches joined the game

<peaches> NO SWEARING PLS

"What is happening?" Karl eventually asked.

"Nothing, Karl. It's nothing." Quackity answered nonchalantly as he was in a cave, mining for iron. He saw a spider approaching him so he began to spam click his mouse and pressed the spacebar over and over until it was dead. When he thought it was all over Quackity suddenly heard a creeper going off behind him. "Ah, shit! Why the hell am I so bad at this stupid game-"

<peaches> YOU SWORE! MAKE THAT 12, DUMBO.

"Chat, I didn't swear right? I didn't say any curse words. No. Y/N is just baiting me."

Basically, this went on for a while. The first stream he did, he went up to 22. In the cooking stream, he actually reached 19 so he gifted the subs. There were like four-- five more streams he did and he actually did very well so you gifted the rest. Even in calls, you trained him not to swear and when he does you'd jokingly end the call. He had improved so much that you were quite proud of him. Actually, BadBoyHalo would be more proud than you.

The 14th of February arrived, and you were more than excited as you quickly went to the showers and prepared. Alex texted you good morning before saying that he has to be ready for his flight later. That was his last message before someone knocked on your door.

You answered it seconds later and you saw your mom smile at you. "Hi, mom." You embraced her as she hugged back.

"How are you sweetie? Happy Valentines Day!"

You retracted from the hug. "Oh yeah! I kinda forgot." You forgot to greet Alex.

"Hm. Did your boyfriend not greet you this morning?" Your mom raised an eyebrow in suspicion.

"Mom, it's not a big deal don't worry." You rolled your eyes. You let her in and watched as she dropped her belongings in the living room. "You know Alex is meeting you today, right?"

"Oh I know. You've told me 2 weeks ago."

"Good. Don't be too... intruding, please?"

Your mom sat down casually, looking clueless. "I believe I don't know what you mean, dear."

"I mean," you followed her. "Don't be too... snoopy? Like- don't ask too many questions that might make him uncomfortable, okay?"

"I was never snoopy, Y/N." She turned around and gave you a stare. "And what if I just wanted to get to know Alex as person? I want to know if you picked the right person. If this man actually loves you for you, and not just‐ using you."

You couldn't help but smile and playfully shake your head at her worried state. You guessed she's just doing her job as your mother. A smirk grew upon your lips as your mind began coming up with scenarios that one Alex Quackity will absolutely blow the charts off and impress the heck out of your mom.

***

You raised your head up a bit more at the crowded hall. It has been 10 minutes and no beanie head to be seen. You exchanged glances from the people to your phone to see no new text which means he might be off his phone to handle something.

"Y/N!"

It felt like a whiplash when you looked up so fast. Alex was just bringing down his mask to his chin to expose his big, bright smile as you ran to him and immediately hugged him with all your might.

His jacket was so cold from the AC the first time you touched it but it quickly went warm from the embrace. You could hear the laugh rumbling from his chest and you are pretty sure he could feel his shirt getting wet from the happy tears coming out of your eyes.

The two of you eventually faced each other as Alex placed both hands on the sides of your face. You both can't stop smiling because holy shit, it's been almost 8 months of not seeing each other in real life but boy- waiting was worth it. No schoolworks for exactly 2 weeks and you both are actually adults to be able to do whatever you want.

"Hi," Alex spoke first.

You let out a shaky laugh. "Hello."

"Oh, sh- crap. Wait a sec." He let go of you for a moment before crouching down to his luggage. You laughed at him almost slipping out a curse before stopping himself. He unzipped the bag and you could already thin, pink paper- a wrapper- and flowers. "Ugh, God. It's crumpled." Alex slightly struggled to pull it out from his case.

With some of the petals pulled off and fall to the ground, he successfully retrieved the 'bowkwet' of roses and presented it to you. He let out a sheepish chuckle as his face turned slightly pink.

"Happy Valentines Day, pretty girl."

Your heart skipped a beat at his nickname. An unusual side of Quackity that you have just discovered.

And you are quite getting used to it.

You tried not to smile so hard at his cheeky attempt, but you accepted the flowers from him. Alex immediately grinned at you. "Ooh, did I make your heart jump or something? Why are your ears red?"

"Shut up." You hid your face with the bouquet. "Thank you for the flowers, you dimwit."

Alex laughed wholeheartedly that he could be heard throughout the whole airport. You huffed in response as you trudgingly placed yourself beside him and instinctively hooked your arm around his. The two of you began your journey towards the parking lot and found your car.

He eventually relaxed but he couldn't help but have his leg bounce repeatedly every now and then. You keep noticing it and decided to comment on it. "You nervous?"

"No." Alex repositioned himself on his seat. "Why would I- why would I be nervous?" He chuckled awkwardly.

"Sure." You pursed your lips in boredom.

"Yeah, why would I be nervous when your mom's gonna meet this sexy piece of ass?"

"Heh," you let out a short amused laugh. "Perhaps you mean dumbass or something? Because you're kinda exagertating it a bit, mister."

"Hey, you already know I'm not the dumbass in this relationship." Alex retorted, not even commenting on the intentional mistake you made. "I study law, I play Minecraft, GeorgeNotFound is my gorgeous friend, and I'm your boyfriend. So, boom roasted."

You rolled your eyes. Just some useless ramblings about whatever that you'd just wouldn't waste your time on.

You took a turn on your wheel. "You're not lying? You're really not nervous?"

"A bit." Alex answered honestly. But I'm trying not to think too negatively about it, you know?" He reached out to sweep your hair behind your ear. You smiled in appreciation. "I wanna make your mom think- oh this is gonna be my daughter's soon-to-be-husband-"

The car swerved for a bit as you suddenly felt your heart beating rapidly. You almost kick on the brake so hard because of the shock and chills that just went through your body.

"Ahhh!" Alex had his hands perched upon the door and the dashboard, holding for his dear life. "I'm kidding! I didn't mean to startle you!"

You refused to speak, hyperventilating as air passed your nostrils back and forth. The vehicle increased in acceleration, nearing home by the minute.

"Y/N- okay, that was just, uh... imagination! It's all roleplay! Mmmyes? You have nothing to worry about, we still have a long way to go!" Alex tried to comfort you, giving you a nervous laugh every now and then.

You let out an uneasy snicker as well, looking at him in disbelief. You wanted to berate him for being such an idiot, thinking so far into the future, potentially giving you a heart attack, yet your entire skin was filled with warmth with the thought of Alex already coming up with the idea of... marrying you someday.

Sure you'd joke with him, calling him your 'fiancè' and him telling George that, "Uh- I have a wife, pal. I have a wife, chill the fuck out!"

But that was both of your online personas. That was a bit by QuackityHQ and Peaches. This? Holy shit, this is the real deal.

It was silent for the rest of the drive. Alex kept glancing at you to see that your expression was nothing but pure anxiety. Your posture was very rigid and your eyes were focused. You didn't once look at him until the car was carefully parked into the driveway.

You turned off the engine and he let out a sigh. "Y/N-"

"Alex." Your shoulders relaxed. "Listen, I'm sorry for reacting that way. I just wasn't expecting..."

His eyes were glassy, waiting for you to continue.

"The way it came out of your mouth so easily... I just- I didn't even think about-"

You seriously have no words.

"Hey, hey." His voice was soft as he gently cupped your jaw and turned your head to his. "I'm so sorry for scaring you. I promise I won't make you uncomfortable like that again."

"You don't have to apologize." You gave him a reassuring smile. "I kinda jumped on the gun too quickly. I know you're just joking."

"I mean, I know we're taking it lightly," Alex started. "But you know we're gonna be like that someday, right?"

You laughed at his antics but still nodded at him. "Someday."

"Yeah!" He exclaimed before kissing your nose. It made you giggle for a bit before leaning forward and planting a kiss on his lips which he kissed back. "I love you."

"I love you too," you told him. You huffed from the crying session as Alex let go of your face but went for your hand this time. "Ready to go and meet my mom?"

"Uh huh," he nodded. "Remember not to swear Y/N, okay?"

You let out a laugh in disbelief. "Shouldn't I be telling you that instead?"

The two of you finally exited out of the car and walked together through the front door.

"Ma! I'm home." You closed the door.

After you threw your keys on the table beside you, your mom excitingly greeted the both of you. You introduced the man beside you, Alex, as your boyfriend and from the looks of your mom's face, it was as if she was talking to herself, nodding in approval every once in a while.

You groaned in embarrassment because she completely backed out on her word in not being so judgemental of Alex, but he just laughed it off and followed you to the living room.

Alex lounged for a bit on your sofa as your mom sat down herself as well on one of the chairs. You told him that you will be getting him a glass of water shortly before retreating to the kitchen.

You eventually came back to your mother interviewing your boyfriend and you had to tell her off that she should stop asking multiple questions at once because Alex just came back from a flight and he must be tired. But Alex reassured you that it was fine.

The whole afternoon and dinner, the three of you were talking about anything, really. You had to applaud Alex for not swearing once. Not even a slip-up in his sentences. You had to hide a smile on your lips be because it would be weird to just smile out of nowhere.

Eventually, your mom had to leave because she has to be early for tomorrow.

"Wait," you said, going for your phone situated on the desk. You opened your camera and gave it to her. "Take a picture of us."

You and Alex posed for the picture to be posted on Twitter, whether it be later night or tomorrow morning for the timezones. It consisted of wacky poses and candid laughter and the others were actually casual and lovely.

"Aw," your mom cooed as she gave back the phone while you and Alex looked at the photos. "You guys are so cute!"

You let out a short laugh while he chuckled as well. Your mom took her bag and walked towards the door and you swore you could feel Alex's shoulders relaxing as he lets out a sigh of relief.

"By the way," she stopped herself at the doorway. "I know you work at Twitch and you curse like a sailor so I am quite proud of you for holding of the swears when I'm here."

You and Alex were dumbfounded. "What the heck!?" You broke the silence. "How did you know?"

"Y/N, don't you forget about the times you've ranted about this man and how perfect he is. You actually told me about his job as a streamer so of course as a mom caring for his daughter I searched for his name- what was that again? Queb-"

"Qu-QuackityHQ..." Alex trailed off, still stunned at what was happening.

"Yes, Quackity... and I have watched one of his-" She put her quotes in the air. "'Streaming' and oh my gosh he curses in every sentence."

You laughed as you thought about what her reaction might be.

"But when I met you in person," she referred to Alex. "And actually talked to you the whole day, I realized that both Quackity and Alex are two different people. I also appreciate that he will do everything to make my daughter happy and in that case, to not swear in front of her mom."

You rolled your eyes in amusement. "Okay mom, I get it."

"Okay, I'm leaving." She gave you a kiss on the cheek and a sweet I love you before patting Alex's head. "Bye, lovebirds!"

The moment the door closed, you botj exchanged glances before bursting into laughter. "What a day," you said.

You helped Alex with his bags towards your room and some in the guest room where your other computer was there so that he could still stream while being here. You took care of the bouquet, taking a picture of it first before placing the flowers into a water-filled vase.

After Alex was completely unpacked, the two of you just relaxed on the chairs, scrolling through social medias while idly touching each other's skins.

You couldn't wait any longer as you go on Instagram and stories, pressing the picture you caught of your mom and Alex talking while you 'get some water' and adding a caption of something funny. You posted it quickly before choosing photos of you and Alex taken by your mom and hitting post after you added another caption, a casual comment that Quackity meeting up with you was clearly not a big deal.

"Oh my God shut up!" Alex screamed at you, his smile growing. You took the hint that he saw your story a milisecond later. "Why did you post that?!"

You only laughed at him, trying to stop his feet from kicking you playfully. It turned into a wrestle match for your phone that had Twitter open with a photo attached to your tweet.

"You realize you could swear now, right?"

"Shut the fuck up!"
