So after I'd calmed down and stopped screaming "IM GOING TO BE PUBLISHED OH MY GOD IM GOING TO BE PUBLISHED!!" To the selected few I was allowed to tell. I thought I should probably try and sit down and write the story.

There was actually a point where I couldn't even remember what I'd put in the pitch. I didn't know how far I was allowed to deviate from it and I worried that I wouldn't be able to pull off the surprise ending I'd promised them. I also worried about writing this kind of story about a celeb who was married. But I trusted Wattpad and Simon & Schuster and if they liked my pitch, and didn't have any concerns about running with it then neither should I. But there is this - I adore Jamie. I'm a massive fan of his, and literally worship the ground he walks on. I've also been lucky enough to meet him in person a couple of times -  for those of you wondering; he was wonderfully kind and generous with his time. So, I would never EVER want to do anything that may be considered disrespectful to him in anyway. And the end of the day, this is fantasy. Imaginary. Fanfiction. But still, I had to get it right.

The day I finally sat down to write it I was stunned. I wrote it in one sitting. Seriously. Normally, that only happens on a full moon. Like I have the scene in my head and it just writes itself. The finger fairies take over and away we all go on a magical fantasy ride into a world of pure imagination (RIP Gene Wilder, miss you!) , but I honestly didn't expect it to happen with this. Especially when they told me it couldn't have any graphic language in it, and that any scenes of a sexual nature weren't permitted and would have to 'fade to black'. Yes, they actually used the phrase "fade to black".

Considering erotic fiction is what I do, I was seriously wondering what on earth I'd fill the pages with...

Yet, fill the pages I did - I may also have written an extended version - which takes place after the "Fade to black" just for me. And for science. I call that "An Occasional Friday: The Writers Cut. ,)

So after a few hours I had 6000 words of a Jamie Dornan Imagine. And honestly, not much changed from what you see in that story today. It's probably my least edited piece of writing ever - thanks immensely to the lovely Adam Wilson at Gallery Books for being very kind with me on that score! Love you Adam!!

Despite being happy with what myself and the finger fairies had accomplished in a day, I still worried that they would like it, and that they'd send it back with their sincere apologies. But it never happened, only some tiny tweaks were required to make sure the twist was as hidden as it could possibly be.  It really was the best reaction I could have hoped for, and it made Christmas 2015 such a memorable one! 

Of course there were still lots of exciting stuff still to happen after that, stuff like the cover reveal and the promo lead up and writing our bios and the having to keep it secret for what felt like years! Oh and then the box arrived with our author copies inside and I got to see my STORY AND NAME IN PRINT (Evidence below) AND I CRIED. Actually cried. Can you see my tears???

I would not change a thing about this experience. Not a thing. I loved every minute of it and I can honestly say it's been an amazing journey. In fact since I joined Wattpad and came into contact with all of you I have had such an amazing journey. I think winning the Watty last year - voted by you guys - helped with this amazing opportunity, so really, I have all of you to thank. God I feel emotional again.

So... there's only one thing left to do and that's give you a glimpse of the story... *squeeeeee* Yes I know lots of you have read it already, maybe more than once (looking at you here latersbabes - how many copies have you got again??? :) but maybe this will make you want to read it again.. Or make lots of you run out and buy it ASAP.

Oh - please remind me to tell you about how I came up with the title someday.. it's literally the most boring story ever. So actually - yeah, don't remind me. Scratch that entirely.
