Prologue

I had always had a fascination with the mythical stories of the world. I had read countless books on the matter, filling my mind with infinite knowledge. I on one hand dreamed the impossible would come to be but on the other hand I knew it was just stories. I knew I would never lay my eyes upon a dragon or bear witness to magical happenings.

I was happy though, my imagination was enough to keep me content and also the fact of modern day TV portraying mythical creatures and magic. I would watch anything with magic in it, and be hooked and fascinated every time.

There was one day in my life though that did make me question, are the myths true?

It was a Wednesday, my favourite day of the week. I was walking back home from my part time job and it was lightly raining. I hadn't bothered to put up my coat hood, I wasn't fussed about getting wet. The sky was a medium colour meaning not too dark but not that light either. There was an odd smell in the air till this day I could never pin point what the smell was.

Despite the rain it was still warm. Warm like when the sun is setting in the summer. I knew there could be many explanations to what happened next that day but something about it just had a magical vibe. I probably fantasise too much for my own good but one moment the air was still and warm and then the next a gust, a strong gust hits me.

There had be very little wind of my walk so far and it was weird to me. After the wind dispersed I had looked to my left to see a woman standing ominously like in the movies then the next thing you know a bus comes and poof but obviously the later part didn't happen.

It had felt like the wind and she were connected in that moment. I put it down to an over active imagination but now in the present; now I know different.

Now everything I believed is actually real!
