Chapter 42: Planning

Rogan stared at the castle in awe.

"It's just how I wanted it," he said.

I smiled, "There are a few secrets in the castle that I'll give you time to figure out later."

I walked over to him and put my hand on his shoulder, "Now, to the real reason I had told you about this. The king is still alive."

Rogan turned back to me. He saw my serious face and matched it with his own.

"But he isn't in this world," I said, "He's in mine, and in my world, people aren't used to magic and dragons. They will freak when they see him, and they won't be able to protect themselves. I'm slightly embarressed about saying this, but the people in my world aren't exactly fighters, most don't even know how to fight, and the few that do don't fight with swords or magic, they fight with these things called guns, they are better then the average sword, but against the king they won't be of much use."

Rogan nodded, "Then what do you think we should do?"

"I don't know!" I said, "and that's the thing, I have no idea how to help them!"

I put my hands on my head and sank to the ground. Rogan walked up to me and put his hand around my shoulder.

"I wish I knew how to help," said Rogan, "But I can't get to you world, you're the only one who can. If I could help, I would, but you are the only person around that can travel to your world, the only person who can actually face the king."

I nodded, thinking, 'How will I ever be able to do this?'

'What do you mean, 'How will I ever be able to do this?'' said Relfamen, 'You were kicking his but last time you were there.'

'Yes, I know,' I replied, 'But there is something about what he said. He said 'You don't know what your up against' and he said that the 'gods' have brought him back to life, but how did that happen. I mean, it isn't like I brought him there or anything.'

'I know,' said Reflamen, 'Bu he did underestamate you. He did say he was surprised that you knew how to use your powers.'

'Yeah, you're probably right,' I said, 'I'll check on our world now, see what he's doing.'

I closed my eyes and imagined my home. I saw the king, taking a casual stroll downt he street, flicking his staff around while he did. Everytime he flicked it, he released a darkness bomb, destroying nearby houses easily. A police car rushed up to him. He pointed his staff forward and cast let another darkness bomb fly free, sucking the car into a black void. He laughed.

I was getting angry, and finding it harder and harder to keep control of my imagination. Suddenly I saw another explosion in the distance. I let my vision zoom over there, to see these extremely weird and discusting creatures.

They walked on four legs, and they had a tail. They had pail green skin that was covered in slime, and they were about as big as a komodo dragon. They didn't seem to have any eyes, but they had a large mouth that was lined with razor sharp teeth. There were about twenty of them, all going through the streets, blasting houses with a stream of what looked like green acid.

I made myself zoom back over to where the king was. He raised up his staff and a whole bunch more suddenly came out of nowhere, this time they had wings.

'So the king's doing this,' I said, 'But how, he never was able to do this before.'

'Maybe since going to your world he has gained new powers he hasn't had before,' said Reflamen, 'You saw how advanced he had been with a staff.'

I agreed with him. I made myself zoom over to my house. Luckily nothing had happened to it so far. I imaginered a forcefield around the house, making sure non of those filthy green creatures could make it to the house. I imaginered a note on the door saying, 'Hey mum, this is Derrick, I want you to stay inside until I say otherwise, okay. That means for at least another three days. Just until I get back. Please do as I say.'

I opened my eyes and saw a whole lot of people around me. I stood up.

"Sorry," I said, "But I was just taking a look at what was happening in my homeland."

"You can do that?" said Leo.

I nodded, "I just imagine. It looks bad though. The king seemed to have summoned these discusting green lizard like things. There are at least a hundred, and they are on a rampage. I need to be able to get there, but I don't know how."

Derrick nodded his head, thinking, "You said you imagined this world and stuff."

I nodded my head.

"And you can use your imagination to basically do anything, right?" said Derrick.

I nodded again.

"Why don't you just create a portal?" he said, "Or something like that, that will help you get back."

I widened my eyes, "Thank you Derrick! That might actually work! And that could also mean that I could get you guys to come as well!"

"Good idea," said Derrick.

I smiled and looked towards the sky. I closed my eyes and started to imagine a portal opening above our heads. On first look it looked purple, but if you looked at it for a bit longer you could see rows of houses around. I smiled and imagined myself flying up to it, but when I reached I got about halfway through, then stopped, I couldn't get the rest of the way through. I could see the houses below, but I could seem to get through the portal.

'What the... okay this is weird,' I thought.

'I think I know why you can't get through,' said Reflamen.

'Then why?' I said.

'Well, I have to possibilties actually. The first is that you already have a body on the other side and can't get through because that will basically make two of you, and the other possibility is that someone knew you were going to try this and decided to prevent it,' said Reflamen.

I nodded thinking of what he said, 'Would you be able to get through?'

'I might if you weren't in the middle of it,' said Relfamen.

I smiled and made myself levitate to the ground. In my mind's eye I saw Reflamen take off and fly straight towards the portal. As soon as he reached it he disappeared.

'Did it work?' I said to him.

'Yes!' said Reflamen, 'It did! This is amazing. I know I have seen a lot of your world in your mind, but I've always wanted to see if for myself!'

I smiled, 'Well then, come back through, we need to figure out a plan.'

Reflamen flew back into the portal and back to our world. I closed it and turned towards the others, opening my eyes. I was smiling.

"Okay," I said, "Now I know that you can get into the other world, I have a plan."

We all gathered aroung and I quickly relayed my plan to the others. A few were with and a few were against.

"So your saying," said Leo, "That we fly through a magic portal, and attack all this green lizard things that spit acid, and the king, again, who by the way is a lot stronger then he was before. It just doesn't seem real."

I smiled at Leo, "It's alright, I'll take on the king, but you just need to attack the lizard things. They will be no match for dragons."

Leo grunted something that I couldn't here.

"Fine," he said, "But I'll believe it once I fly through that 'magical' portal."

I nodded, satisfied with his answer. I then went back to explaining what was going to be done. I was honestly surprised about how well they were taking it, but I could see the frustration and disbelief in some of there faces, especially Derricks. He was still trying to comprehend what was happening. I didn't blamen him, I had made it so that he would be the kind of person that took care of his own life, and didn't believe in fate. Now that he knew the truth he was probably silently freaking out, and maybe even fearful.

'I'll talk to him once this is all over,' I said to Reflamen.

'Good idea,' said Reflamen.

I finished expaining the plan. They all nodded, I could see there anticipation for the battle to come.

"Okay then," I said, "Now that that's all explained, let's get to work."

That night I had a very bad nightmare. I was fighting the king, then was knocked back. I didn't have time to get my imagination back to its full peek. The king laughed, pointing his staff towards my face. He shot the darkness ball at me. I didn't have time to get up, and my head was fuzzy. Suddenly Reflamen jumped in the way, taking the blast head on. The dragon's screams echoed in my head as I woke up, breathing heavily. I looked over to where Reflamen, sleeping peacfully. I hoped against hope that, that wouldn't come to pass. I closed my eyes, and went back to sleep.

For the next couple of days, I trained. I trained as hard as I could, getting myself into peek condition, but most of my training I did mentally. I practiced again and again on being quicker to get into my imaginative state. I spared against the dragons like that, Derrick casting the spell on me again. The dragons usually attacked quickly, trying to stop my imaginitive state, but I got quicker every time, and by the time the three days were up, could reach it in three seconds, which was still to slow I thought. As mid day arrived I took a deep breath, ready to face what ever was going to happen. The dizziness came and I fell, unconscious.
