Me and Shadowrang kept up the fighting for most of the rest of the morning, and every time it ended up with me being beaten to a pulp, well... not really, thanks to the protective shields, but I was still getting beaten up. 

I landed against the ground for the hundreth time. No matter how hard I tried I just couldn't get past Shadowrangs defences. He had to many ways of defending himself. I picked up my sword and ran at him. Shadowrang ducked my stroke and did a quick turn, smashing me with his tail. I went flying again. While I was in the air, I backflipped and landed about twenty metres away.

I then charged at him again. I ducked under Shadowrang's stroke with his wing, then jumped over another. I quickly blocked his claw, then his other, then jumped out of the way of both of his wings, which came at me at the same time.

I was exhausted, even one of those beans couldn't keep me going. I jumped back and blocked a stroke from Shadowrang's tail. I ducked his wings then struck upward as fast as I could. I was rewarded with a hit to Shadowrang's jaw. The shadow dragon seemed to flip in one spot, but landed on his back instead of his feet.

"Well done," said Derrick.

I smiled at him.

"Okay, again," said Derrick, "Just to make sure it isn't a fluke."

I nodded and got into my ready position again. Shadowrang rolled back onto his feet.

'You won't get me this time,' said Shadowrang snarling.

'We'll see about that,' I replied with my mind.

Shadowrang got in a position to pounce, it was then I realised how little protection was on the dragons back. He wouldn't be able to use his wings, tail, claws, feet or element attack. 

'Why didn't I think of this before?' I thought, seeing the obviousness of the weekness, 'Okay, lets try this.' 

Shadowrang sprung at me with incredible speed. I was ready and rolled out of the way. Shadowrang lashed out his wing to try and catch me of balance. I ducked an stabbed upwards at the wing, getting the soft tissue underneath. The force field provented Shadowrang from getting hurt but Derrick had made it so that if I did strike Shadowrang's wing from beneath, his whole wing would go numb, and it did. 

Shadowrang rawed in surprise. He hopped sideways and tried to flap his wing, getting some feeling back into it, but before he did I took the chance. As Shadowrang was distracted I ran at him. Shadowrang saw me coming and spread his wing, trying to get me with the back of it. Unfortunatly it was his numb wing and it only stretched halfway. Shadowrang stumbled as the one outstretched wing made him unbablanced. I jumped up and over his wing, which was quite easy because Shadowrang was so small. I landed on his back and grabbed onto Shadowrang's horns. 

Shadowrang roared and reared up, trying to shake me off. I held on tight and hefted my sword up, then stabbed at Shadowrang's neck. If the blade had been unprotected then Shadowrang would have had a blade through his neck. 

I continued to slash and stab at Shadowrang, knocking the poor dragon to the ground every time. Finally I just put my blade against his neck.

"Give up?" I asked.

Shadowrang just grunted. I smiled and rubbed his head before hopping off his back. 

"Okay," I said to Derrick, "What's next?"

"Call your dragon here," said Derrick.

I nodded, 'Hey, Reflamen come here.'

Reflamen lumbed over.

"Now," said Derrick, "Reflamen, I want you and Shadowrang to spar against Derrick here."

I took me a moment to absorb what he was saying, "Wait a minute! You want me to fight against two dragons, two of the most powerful in the Resistance."

Derrick nodded.

"Okay, this is going to be very hard," I said.

FIghting against two opponents is very different from fighting one. When your fighting two, weapons come at you twice as fast, twice as hard, and twice as often, meaning that it is twice as hard to beet them, or so most people think, but they often forget to remeber that the moves come from twice as may places as well, and this is what makes it extra hard. Facing two dragons is almost equivilant to fasing fifteen soldiers, and that is without them using their powers.

"I'm done for," I said to myself.

Derrick walked over to Reflamen and cast the protective spell on him as well. Reflamen seemed to say something to Derrick.

"Well," said Derrick to Reflamen, "Once I cast the spell it doesn't take any of my energy away after woulds, meaning I only use my enery to cast the actual spell. It doesn't drain my energy as you fight, so it is actually very easy."

Reflamen nodded in understanding. 

"Okay then," said Derrick, "Shall we begin."

'Yes,' said Reflamen, allowing me and Shadowrang to here it to.

"Fight," said Derrick, then he ran quickly out of the way.

Shadowrang and Reflamen looked at each other. Something past between them that Reflamen blocked me from hearing.

'It sucks how dragons can talk without me hearing,' I thought, 'It's unfair.'

'Hey, I heard that,' said Reflamen.

'And it sucks even more that Reflamen can read my mind,' I thought.

'I heard that to,' said Reflamen.

I grunted in annoyance, then put more 'heat' into the fire around my mind; now even Reflamen will have difficulty reading my mind, and if he did he would have to go through a lot of pain. I gripped my sword handle with both hands and waited for the dragons to make their move.

I stould there for what seemed like hours, watching every move the dragons made. The dragons watched me just as intensly. I then felt a sudden feeling of andrenline come from Reflamen. He charged. I was momentarily stunned, and I must admit, slightly scared at the sight of the gigantic dragon baring down on me. 

I jumped of the way and swung at Reflamen's left foreleg. He quickly jumped out of the way, but now I was between the two dragons. I noticed this a bit to late, and dodged Reflamens tail strike, only to get knocked to the ground by Shadowrang from behind. 

I groaned and got up.

"Hey!" I said, "That was unfair."

Reflamen looked at me strangely.

'What do you mean unfair?' he said, 'You are exsposed to fight both of us you know.'

'Yes, yes, I know that very well,' I said.

I suddenly felt a strange emotion coming from Reflamen.

'You're enjoying this aren't you,' I said with annoyance.

'Just a little,' said Relfamen laughing, 'Well, maybe a bit more then a little.'

I narrowed my eyes at him, then jumped with my sword outstrethed. Just before I got Reflamen's neck he hit me with the side of his wing, making my fly really high in the air. Shadowrang jumped after me, like a streak of black lightning. He quickly got the hight on me, then charged, smashing me with his head.

If I didn't have the protection I had now, my back would have been broken, and I might have even been sliced in half.

I went sailing into the ground so hard I made a creater. I stumbled out of the creater, then was met with a tale to my face. I went flying over the creater I had created and into one of the people watching from the sidelines. 

I got up and apologised to the man, then lifted my sword and went charging back into the fight. I blocked a strike from Reflamen's wing, then was just in time to duck under a wing stroke from Shadowrang. Reflamen lifted his foot in an atempt to step on me but I stabbed the bottom of his foot intstead. Thanks to the spell, Reflamen's foot went very, very numb, so numb I could feel it through the bond we shear.

I quickly rolled out of the way of Shadowrang who had attempted to bite me. I swung at his head, but Shadowrang got his wings in the way, I backed away just in time to avoid a tail whip. Reflamen was suddenly back in the fight again. He tried to punch me with a closed fist, but I managed to dodge just in time, but Shadowrang hit me with another tail strike... straight into Reflamen's leg. 

Reflamen picked me up in his claws and threw me into the air. He then came after me with an open mouth. I saw my chance, but forgot to not show it to Reflamen. He tried to stop in the air but was to slow and I stabbed into his mouth into the top. Relfamen roared as his whole head went numb. 

"Reflamen! Your out!" yelled Derrick. 

Reflamen hovered in mid air for a few more seconds before gliding back down to Derrick. Me, on the other hand, landed in another rather big creater. I crawled out and just managed to block a tail whip from Shadowrang. I jumped over a wing then blocked another, but Shadowrang struck with his paw and blasted me to the other side of the hole.

I quickly rolled to my feet. Shadowrang had taken to the air and was flying towards me very fast. I tried to think of what to do. I couldn't dodge, he was just going to follow, I couldn't block, I would be crushed. I then thought of a solution. 

I watched as Shadowrang drew closer and closer, then, when he was close enough, I drew back my arm and hurled the blade at him. Shadowrang didn't see the blade at first, and when he did it was two late. The sword hit Shadowrang square in the head. His head went very numb.

"Shadowrang, out!" said Derrick, "Nice going Derrick."

I smiled at him, then went over to retrieve my sword from where it had landed in the ground. I put it back in its shieth.

"Nice trick," said Derrick, "Throwing your sword was a very good idea, and a very good shot."

I laughed, "It was a good shot wasn't it.'

Derrick laughed and ruffled my hair, "That it was, but don't let that get to your head to much, its already big enough as it is."

I raised my eyebrow, "Look who's talking."

Derrick just shook his head, "Well done though, but next time you through your sword, it better be a last ditch effort."

"That was a last ditch effort," I replied.

Derrick just shook his head, "Just, go and have dinner, I'll see you back here tomorrw."

I laughed then ran over to Reflamen. I climbed onto his back and sat in the groove at the beginning of his neck.

'Come on, lets get going,' I said.

Reflamen snorted out a toung of flames then lifted off. I waved at Derrick, he waved back.

'I can't wait until tomorrow,' I said.

'Why, so you can get another beeting,' said Reflamen with a toothy smile.

'We'll see,' I replied.
