h-hh
i'd like to think that a majority of modern day protagonists are slytherin. the entire book is about their desire, isn't it? to do something with their life, or find a long lost father, or master a magic that they didn't know of before. protagonists want something, antagonists prevent them from doing so.
a large number of people focus on the antagonist wanting the protagonist to fail as a slytherin trait that they often forget what drove the protagonist there in the first place.
ravenclaws are the heartless characters. the ones that will stop at nothing to satisfy their curiosity, to expand their knowledge. they are the ones that conduct immoral experiments and kill without a second thought to gain information. they do not care for petty things such as morals, or wealth, or status, or the such. they're just curious.
the sadists/masochists are the gryffindor. the reckless ones that will rush into danger because they love the adrenaline that rushes through their body. courage is an archaic word; i prefer ignorance. they do not care what will happen to them, whether it's pain or pleasure they receive at the end. it's the same thing, really.
hufflepuffs, they are the masterminds. the kingpin that moves the pawns of the game and turns the wheel. they've built a web of alliances that will use their mind and body to protect them, that is how deep they can create ties. loyalty, trust, bond, those are their specialities. they will not betray their comrades, they need not to, when they are the only one others will turn to. they are the mouse with claws of steel, and how quickly they will strike.
an interpretation of characters, i suppose? mostly those on the neutral to evil side, but who's to say there isn't a good mastermind? it's just how i see things instead of how it's usually portrayed haha
