[20]- White Walls (Pt. 1)
He swung his legs in the seat, looking at his mom. "Why do I gotta be stabbed with a stick?" His mom laughed. "Xisuma it's just a blood sample. Nothing more I swear. You'll live."
"Old people die here all the time."
His mom went wide eyed and went to say something before he added;
"And babies. And kids."
His mom laughed but gave her son a look, fighting a smile. "Shhh! Don't say that aloud!!!"
Xisuma nodded, and mumbled, "But it's true.."
His mom laughed again, ignoring the look from the old lady across from them. "Shhh...!"
Xisuma nodded. "If I die it's your fault." His mom nodded. "If you die I'll take the credit. Ok??" Xisuma shook his head. "No Ex would want the credit. He likes dying."
His mom blinked and looked at him a moment. Xisuma just went back to swinging his legs happily. His mom said absolutely nothing until the point in which they got called back. She smiled, "C'mon.."
And, Xisuma followed. The halls smelt sterol. The place was filled with big and small rooms, some with big machines and opened doors and others shut tight. He looked at his mom. "I don't like this.."
HIs mom sighed, nodding to the nurse who led them to their room as she said the doctor would be right in. Xisuma looked at her. "It smells and I don't like it."
"Really? Well guess what the people who have to work here have to to."
"Uhm.." Xisuma thought a moment, what would Ex say..? After two thoughts he smiled. "They watch people die and be cut open."
HIs mom changed the subject quickly. "Ah no, no. They have to get multiple shots a year. More than you. Babies get more than you. So can you be a big boy and get a super small and easy-peasy needle?"
Xisuma crossed his arms. "Fine fine fine fine fine." He stuck his tongue out. "I'm not a baby." His mom nodded. "No, you're not."
The doctor walked in. He was an older man, and just looked rude in general. He was familiar though. "Hi." He said.
Xisuma didn't say anything as another doctor walked into the room. This one seemed nice, but he started talking to his mom. The other doctor smiled. "So I'll be having someone help me out today. Okay? I'm Dr. Better-than-everyone and that's Dr. Buttface. Clear?"
Xisuma giggled and nodded. His mom, who had been saying inaudible words to him smiled. "I swear it won't be long." She walked into the hall with the other doctor, and Xisuma could see them talking.
"Dr. Better-than-everyone?"
"Yeah?"
"Your scary.."
"Oh." He nodded. "Roll up your sleeve ok?"
Xisuma did as told. "Why?"
"Becuase," The scarier began, "You're getting a needle right?" Xisuma nodded.
The other doctor walked in and smiled. "Well I haven't seen anyone this eager." He motioned to his sleeve and began dabbing his arm with something smelly. "Have you ever done this before?" Xisuma shook his head. "No.."
The doctor nodded. "It doesn't hurt, I'll tell you that." He pointed to a poster with a bunch of letters. "Read those for me alright?"
Xisuma nodded and smiled, seeing the other doctor pointing to random letters. He read them out.
"B-U-T-T. Uhm.. D-U-M-M-Y." He squinted a bit, "And uhm.. I-A-M-S-T-U-P-I-D."
The doctor laughed and Xisuma kept reading out, to busy focusing to notice a small pinch in his arm.
"F-U-N-N-Y. D-E-A-T-H. K-I-L-"
"Xisuma!" His mother gave him a look and the doctor pulled the IV needle out. Suddenly, the other doctor wasn't there anymore. The doctor who pulled the needle just smiled quietly and he threw it away. He looked at the family. "I'm going to drop this off at the lab. Alright?"
Xisuma nodded as the doctor left. His mom looked at him. "Hun? I'm going to use the bathroom real quick ok? It's just around the corner. Do you needa go also?"
Xisuma shook his head and his mom nodded. "I won't be long."
She left the room, leaving the poor child all by his lonesome and inside a hollow room with thick walls that seemed to bounce back and forth all sorts of ideas. Xisuma looked around a moment before seeing 'Dr. Better-than-everyone' next to him. He yelled and jumped back, the latter laughing.
"Close your eyes." He instructed. Xisuma did as told.
"Now open." Xisuma did and smiled. "Ex?!"
Ex nodded. "You needed a distraction, I gave you one."
Xisuma smiled brightly, going in for a hug, only for the other to repel. "Ah-ah-ah." He shook his head. "No touchy-touchy feely-feely."
Xisuma whimpered and nodded. "Sorry."
Ex shrugged and swung his feet. Xisuma did the same, the sounds echoing off the walls like distant voices.
The older looked to the younger. "Get the needle from the trash."
"Why?"
"I'm helping you get over thy fear of them."
"How?"
"Poking oneself."
Xisuma shook his head. "It's dirty!"
"Well unless you can find a clean one, use the dirty."
Xisuma shook his head, but Ex snapped his face towards him. The air seemed to chill and quiver as the latter leant forward, face right in Xisuma's.
His teeth were gritted, even through the helmet and his voice dropped down as low as it could, resuming the original eerily soft and silky tone. "You will. Do it." His red eyed flashed a bit and Xisuma gulped and nodded. "I don't-"
"Do it!" Ex yelled, pointing to the trash. Xisuma whimpered again and grabbed it. Ex nodded, still staring death itself at the child. He pointed to a small spot on his inner elbow. It was right next to where he head the IV. "There. Just jab it in."
"But-"
"Knife to head, needle to arm. Do. It."
Xisuma slowly nodded and did, tensing and crying out in pain. "It hurts!"
He went to pull it out and Ex shook his head. Xisuma did anyways and Ex snarled. He pointed to a blue line (vein) in X's arm. "Right there."
Xisuma slowly nodded and did, yelping again. This time, Ex gave him a different instruction. "Now, drag it. Left, right. Up, down. I don't care. Just push it somewhere."
Xisuma began to, but screamed and dropped it, causing the needle to slant and pierce a small cut. It bled a bit more than normal though, because it was the vein that had been hurt.
Ex shook his head. "Again."
Xisuma went to argue, but refrained in fear, instead doing what he was told.
Ex frowned. "Again."
He did it again, but was told the exact same thing. "Again!"
And so he did. He blinked slowly and Ex smiled. "Not so bad, right bud?"
Xisuma shook his head. His arm was going sleepy and honestly? He was getting to become a bit tired. He smiled at Ex. "Again?"
Ex nodded and the child happily complied, poking and dragging the needle across various spots on his arm. By now, the most feeling he got was a faint tickle. He giggled as he went again, looking over to Ex.
"Aga- Ex?" He looked around, finding the mentor nowhere to be. His eyes closed a moment before he snapped awake again from sound outside the door.
The doctor from earlier had been doing something on a clipboard, hadn't noticed and crashed into his mom. They both apologized and opened the door.
Xisuma giggles a bit. The door was moving side to side.. Or was that him?
His mom stepped in and screamed. "Xisuma!?"
He dropped the needle and began laughing, his eyes half lidded and body swaying. The doctor began yelling down the hall and into something in his hand as his mom started panicking.
Her, and the other voices- Hey where'd those come from...?- Got extremely distant, almost into a faint mouse-whisper.
He giggled one more time, swaying to the right as everything blurry and black.

Not too bloody right? Maybe? I don't know. Anyways I split this chapter into halves, the less bloody (this one) and the more bloody, (next one.) Anyways, soon there's gonna be a huge time skip. (Kid to adult.) So that may be interest to do..
Outside that, we've (somehow) hit 800+ reads?! I mean, ok...? Why? (No but seriously thanks!!) (im bad w/words.)
