Izuku's POV

Over the next two weeks, everyone was busy preparing for the Sports Festival. All Students were training and the teachers were as busy as bees. I was also training with the help of Touya. As always he never shows mercy when it comes to training. I was tired most days of the week and Touya always scolds me if I'm doing anything else than resting. He's always a big help with other household chores. 

Counseling was also a great help. I was surprised at first when Hound Dog told me that he would include some Anger Management but it worked great in the end. Now counseling is a new welcome aspect of my week that I looked forward to.

Today, however, was the day we all were looking forward to. Today was the start of the Sports Festival.

The excitement outside can still be somewhat heard from our class' waiting room as Present Mic made an outstanding commentary. We were sitting and talking for a bit as we wait for the event to start. The atmosphere around the went back to normal and there was no longer any awkward moment since the day I screamed at them. They apologized and I chose to move on.

As always, Iida being the responsible one, made sure to asked if we were ready. 

"Yagi,"

I turned around and saw Shoto Todoroki standing behind me. 

"In terms of power, we are of equal strength. Just because you're the son of All Might doesn't mean I will go easy on you. I'm going to beat you and that's a promise I'm willing to make" he declared.

I smiled at that and not because I was looking down on him but because Shoto and Touya have something in common. When it comes to a challenge or training, Touya is always serious and I guess his youngest brother is too.

Kirishima tried to lighten the mood on the now serious atmosphere of the room along with Uraraka but it did little to none. 

" I know you won't go easy since we both have a reason to do so but I just want you and everyone else to know, my father has nothing to do to whatever I'm going to accomplish today or in the future. Everything I do, I'm doing it for myself and not for anyone else but I welcome your challenge Todoroki. It will be something I will look forward to."

The conversation was short-live as we were all called to the event's ground. 

"Let's welcome the freshmen as they make their entry now!!"

Our class soon made our entrance followed by all the other classes from different departments. I looked around the arena and was highly impressed by the number of people watching today's events live. The cheering voices of the audience were making all both excited and nervous. 

The R+18 Hero, Midnight soon made her way towards the makeshift stage. Her presence alone was enough for some people to question if it was alright for her to be the Cheif Referee for the freshmen. I can even see from my own eyes that some of the heroes and people watching were already blushing.

"Student Representative. Izuku Yagi from 1-A!" she declared.

I made my way toward the stage and in front of the mic. I already knew what I was gonna say and it will be something the audience will not be expecting.

"I would like everyone to give everything they have in order for everyone to shine and have fun. Like my father always says to all who are watching, PLUS ULTRA!"

To those who caught on to what was meant, the reaction was obvious. It was the reaction I was hoping for, the expression I wanted to see. 

"I wish you all luck" I ended.

All eyes were on me as I made my way back to my class. An innocent smile on my face and the eyes of the other students on me. It's only the first step. I promise Touya to let loose and to enjoy myself today which I intend to do. 

"All right! With that, let move directly to our first main event!" Midnight announced. 

The Massive screen in the stadium started a roulette. We watched closely and it stopped at "Obstacle Race". It seems interesting but at the same time tiring. However, it's also a perfect chance to show off. 

"The racecourse is almost 4km around the stadium and all 11 classes are free to do anything as long as it within the racecourse. May I request all participating students to line up at the starting line." 

We all stood in front of the narrow starting line. I can feel the anticipation of everyone as the lights on the gate lights from red to yellow. 

It's now or never. No more folding back. I'll make them see the difference between me and All Might. Everyone's watching. All heroes are watching and I know that my parents are watching. Touya and my friends are watching. I will not disappoint Touya. He helped me trained just for this. 

"GO!"

I power up the wind around me and used it to blast myself through the narrow gate. I may have blasted more than half of the students but I will worry about that later. 

"Izuku Yagi takes the lead!!" 

I was only leading by a little but I suddenly felt some cold air behind me. I looked behind me and saw Todoroki froze the ground which ends up trapping most students taking the lead among others. He's using his ice to freeze the ground as he ran but it won't work on me.  I summon a large black sword and rode it. I flew a few feet off the ground but still within camera view. 

As Todoroki tried to take the lead, he stopped as some small robots and a few zero-point robots blocked the path. I also stopped while still on the air as I watch the robots appear.

"Here comes the first barrier of the course! ROBO INFERNO!!" Present Mic shouted.

Time to show off.

I raised both my hands in front of me and start using my quirk while they were still closely watching the huge robots. Three of the seven zero-point robots slowly raises from the ground and a blueish light covered the massive robots. I can hear some gasp and comments from around me and Present Mic's shocked commentary. 

"CREATE!!" I command.

The blue light flashed for a second and the once three massive zero-point robots were replaced by 150 steel swords floating on air. The number of swords created from the robots was less than what I expected but the quality of it wasn't bad.

"IZUKU YAGI OF 1-A TURNED THREE ZERO-POINT ROBOTS TO SWORDS!!" Mic shouted.

The audience roar with excitement but I wasn't done yet. 

The 150 still floating swords took aim and rain down on the rest of the robots blocking my way. 

By the end of my attack, the robot inferno obstacle was now just pieces of scrap metal blocking the way. It would be a mistake to waste some quality material. I repeated what I did to the three zero-point robots and turned all the scrap metal to swords. I now have an additional 500 steel swords which add up to 650 swords to add to my arsenal. 

I stored the swords within my Arsenal quirk and looked around me. Some of them have their jaws down and a few of them looked like they have just seen a ghost. The audience was quite before they erupted with excitement. 

I continue to fly towards the next obstacle which snapped the other students from their thought and ran to the next obstacle.

The next obstacle was an easy one for me. I could just fly over it but where's the fun in that. I stop in the middle of the second obstacle and watch what the other students were doing. 

Tsu was having no problem navigating her way around the ropes and neither did Todoroki. There was even a pink-haired girl who was laughing while using her gears throughout the course. I continue to fly through the course when Todoroki and Bakugo were close to finishing the FALL. 

I had no problem taking the lead again which lead me to the third or what looks like the final obstacle was a minefield. From the look of it, there were a lot of mines on the ground.

When Present Mic announce what the obstacle was about and what the mines were capable of doing, I decided to put my own traps on the field. 

I used my quirk and summons some electric pulse traps and put them around the open or safe area on the field with the help of my Manipulation quirk to do it faster. I put around 20 of them all around the field. The traps I placed were not deadly or harmful. All they do was it will send out an electrical pulse and paralyzed anyone within four feet for 30 seconds. 

After putting the traps, I flew faster towards the finish line. 

I was then declared first place for the first event and I watched as Todoroki and Bakugo both were caught by my trap and was then blown back a few feet which repeated the cycle all over again. 

Watching Bakugo get blown away a few times really made me happy and somewhat wishing for more but on the other hand, toying with Todoroki too much may not be good for me. I don't want an angry Touya punishing me for being cruel or hurting his younger brother too much. Well, I just hope Touya won't be too mad at me.
