"So that's your plan, to sneak in aimlessly? And you're putting Mikasa in danger?" Eren accused the scouts. Levi had explained the plan and many of the scouts disagreed and were quite insulted after they recalled what happened last time they got themselves kidnapped.

"Mikasa isn't going to be in any danger. First off, Mikasa is one of the strongest here, that's why we chose her. Secondly, I refuse to let anything happen to her, if it comes to it, I'll put my life on the line." Kaya reassured, knowing that her own safety was already guaranteed.

"It's things go south, we'll pull out of the mission and go try again elsewhere. The safety of the squad is my top priority." Levi added. "Besides, from what I understand from your trial, you both have a habit for dealing with kidnappers, yes?"

"That's different." Eren answered.

"How exactly? Is it because those kids are in the underground? Or because our plan saves countless lives and brings down the chances of it happening in the future to a decimal?" The ghoul retorted.

Eren was about to argue until Mikasa stepped in front of him and stopped him in his tracks. "I'll do it." She stated.

"I'm in too, but only because I'll be the one to save you when it all goes to hell." Said Jean.

"Who's to say she'll need saving from you? Mikasa is perfectly capable of taking care of herself." Eren argued.

"Huh, you think you're more qualified to save her?" Jean insulted.

Their bickering came to a halt when Kaya smashed her fist into a nearby table, causing the dust around it to scatter with a bang. "Right now, none of you idiots are qualified to save Mikasa. If you act like this on the mission, then I'm sure Mikasa will be the one to save your asses again." Kaya yelled, making the boys quieten down. "Teenagers." She huffed.

"Now that those two have finished asserting their dominance, is anyone else willing to join?" Kaya changed the subject.

Sasha and Connie looked at each other and raised their hands, the only one left was Armin. It was understandable for the blonde to want to sit the mission out, but with all eyes on him, he raised his hand.

"Good, we're leaving in a few hours." The captain informed.

"Oh and Mikasa, this is going to sound creepy but dress in an appealing way for kidnappers." Kaya finished before leaving for her temporary room in the orphanage.

Kaya took to her own advice and wore a dress for the first time in a while, along with some heals. It wasn't that she didn't look nice wearing dresses, the ghoul just thought they were slightly impractical, thus meaning she often passed up the opportunity to wear them. Once she was dressed, she stashed a few blades and a small gun into compartments in her skirt and looked at herself in the mirror.

She looked quite good, though she preferred wearing suits. Nevertheless, she did look appealing to the audience she was hoping to attract and just hoped that their plan would work out. "Not too bad." She admired.

The ghoul then walked out of her room towards the hall, her heals echoed in the corridors as she stepped. Most of the children stopped to look at her in amazement so she gave them a small smile and continued on her way to the seat next to the captain. That was until she saw a familiar looking kid waiting patiently beside Levi.

"Helena?" Kaya questioned as she approached.

"Kaya!" She girl smiled and wrapped her arms around the ghouls torso. Kaya hadn't seen Helena since the Stohess incident, she was glad that Historia and her team found her and she was safe in the orphanage.

"Wow, you've gotten stronger since I last saw you." Kaya complimented.

"I've been training to become strong just like you." The child beamed.

"You'll get there in no time." The ghoul smiled.

"Why are you here?" Asked Helena.

"Don't tell anyone, but I'm on a top secret mission." Kaya whispered.

"Really?" The girls eyes lit up. "Are you going to capture the people who want to stab you?" She asked innocently.

Kaya tilted her head. "Did I hear that right?" She asked Helena.

The girl nodded her head. "The big people said you can catch swords, so they want to try again." Helena explained.

Kaya looked over to Levi who also looked shocked to be hearing this. "It's been lovely talking to you Helena, but I have to talk about the secret mission. I'll visit you when we get back." The ghoul watched as Helena ran over to a group playing catch.

"Well, I guess now we know where the squad stand with the whole ghoul thing." Kaya muttered loud enough for Levi to hear.

"So what, if they stab you then it's their blade that gets broken. Didn't you say you weren't going to hide it anymore?" He countered.

"That was until I found out they planned to stab me." She loudly whispered.

Before Levi could reply, the rest of the squad stood around the table. Most of the male members of the squad were staring at her in awe, it was true that the dress did make her look more stunning and ladylike, but she never expected it to have this much of an effect on how people saw her.

"You guys planning on catching flies?" Kaya rolled her eyes.

"Now that we're all here, we'll head to the underground and carry out the plan." Said Levi as the scouts walked towards the exit of the orphanage.

It didn't take them long to get to a stairwell to the underground, most of the scouts looked frightened of what lurked below them. However the two who originated from there were amused by how scared the squad was. Kaya was first to take the step down to her old home, followed by Levi and the team.

When they reached the bottom of the staircase, they were surrounded by darkness, with the occasional streetlight giving off a yellow glow. The air wasn't as fresh as it was above ground, it mostly smelt like smoke, both from cigarettes and from all the candles used to light the streets. Kaya was finally home, many would assume that she would have been hasty to go back to where she suffered for many years, but Kaya enjoyed revisiting her past, it gave her more understanding of herself.

"Well, let's get this ball rolling." Kaya pulled Mikasa's hand and led her to a local pub. The bar was well known for sketchy behaviour, any people who went there were either too poor to go to a better place or were looking for trouble. The scouts however fell into the trouble searching category, aiming to get kidnapped and bring down the trafficking organisation.

"Wait, shouldn't we wait until night time?" Eren asked.

"Look around Eren, do you see the sun?" Levi scoffed.

"Well, no, but it's too early to just-"

"Zip it Yeager." Kaya interrupted. "You do understand that me and Levi grew up here, not you?"

Eren nodded his head in defeat and the two girls went inside of the bar. Upon entry, Kaya gave Mikasa as much advice as she could. "Don't drink anything, don't make eye contact, people are always watching you." She warned.

Mikasa nodded her head and the two girls sat at a table for four, hoping to attract their victims. Within no time, two men came and sat down beside them, Kaya had noticed them shooting glances at her and Mikasa a while ago, it was only a matter of time before they turned up.

"What are two pretty ladies like you doing in a place like this?" The man smiled, teeth yellow and crooked.

"Promise you won't laugh." Kaya flashed a smile, the two men eagerly nodded their heads. "Me and my friend Mia." She gestured towards Mikasa. "Have recently ran away from home."

"Why ever would you do that? Don't you know how dangerous places like this can be?" One of the men questioned, trying to mask his true intentions with false concern.

"Well, we were hoping to be more independent, but I guess we didn't think about any of the money aspects." The ghoul pouted, she truly hated acting weak and innocent.

"It's not safe here for pretty ladies like you two, maybe you could stay with us? That way, you'll be able to be independent and safe away from any of the men who have been staring at you for the past while." The other explained.

"Mia?" Kaya turned towards Mikasa.

"But Katherine, we don't even know these men." Mikasa replied.

"That's right, what are your names?" The ghoul grasped both the men's hands.

"I'm John and this is my friend Mateo." The one with crooked teeth said as he pointed towards the more manipulative man.

"Wonderful, now we all know each other, see Mia, I told you we could trust them. But are you sure it's really okay? we wouldn't want to intrude." Kaya tried to make her act sound believable.

"It's no problem at all, you'd actually be doing us a favour by taking up that spare room." Mateo reassured.

"We can head there now if you like, show you around the area while we're here." John pressed them into following them.

"That would be nice." The ghoul smiled.

John and Mateo led the girls towards a house. The house itself looked pretty normal, it looked kind and welcoming however it was clear that it hadn't seen a duster in a while, or been occupied. Kaya gathered that this house was a cover to try and make it easier for the men to take them to a second location.

Suddenly, while the girls were too busy studying their surroundings, Mateo pulled out a gun and placed it against the ghouls head, taking the safety off in a threatening demeanour.

"I told you, it's dangerous round here. You should have been more careful." John laughed, as though he had achieved something.

"What are you doing Mateo?" Kaya faked her worry.

"Be good girls and come with us willingly, that way, you'll be able to get there without a bullet in your head."  Mateo warned as John grabbed Kaya's hands and tied them behind her back, soon doing the same to Mikasa.

"What are you going to do with us?" Said Mikasa.

"We're gonna sell ya, girls as pretty as you are worth a lot to some people." John cheered.

"Cmon." Mateo dragged Mikasa and Kaya towards the centre of the room. Kaya was intrigued as to why they weren't leaving yet, but her curiosity broke down when the rug was moved to the side, revealing a trapdoor. The trapdoor was opened and the girls were instructed to wait at the bottom, but once they got there, they knew their plan was about to fail.

Tunnels went on for miles on end, what was beyond the darkness was unknown. "An underground network?" Kaya muttered. She and all the other scouts assumed that they'd be getting transported by a wagon or cart, none even thought about underground tunnels. They needed to get out of there now.

Kaya semi-activated her kagune, letting it slice through the rope behind her back before instantly deactivating it back into hiding. Next, she needed to free Mikasa so she took out her dagger from a hidden compartment in her skirt and cut Mikasa's bindings.

"He has a gun, what are you doing?" Mikasa warned, Kaya just ignored the ravenette and continued to focus on the two men in front of her.

Mateo held a gun where as John had a large physique to make up for his absence of weapons. "Here, you take the pig." Kaya tossed Mikasa her weapon. The Ackerman nodded and lunged for John.

On the other hand, Kaya glared at Mateo who she soon found out was a terrible shot when the bullets bounced off the wall behind her. The ghoul ran toward the gunman and pivoted to the left at last minute, causing the shot to miss her completely. Then she uppercut his jaw and watched his body fall to hit the ground. Kaya didn't realised this, but the gun was still clenched in the kidnappers hands. Mateo made one last attempt and pulled the trigger of his gun. It was useless, that weapon had nothing on the ghoul it had targeted so Kaya smirked and took the gun from Mateo.

Mikasa took down her opponent soon after the ghoul so the two went outside to alert the squad of their findings. "Levi, get down here!" Kaya yelled.

Her squad complied and used their gear to gently land next to the girls. "Take it something went wrong?" Levi guessed.

"Bingo." Kaya said sarcastically. "Turns out, they've dug tunnels underground to connect all of this shit together." The ghoul summed up.

"So they built tunnels underground the underground?" Sasha wondered.

"That's confusing." Connie chimed in.

"It's only confusing if you two share a brain cell." Kaya pointed to Sasha and Connie. "Anyways, we need a new plan. Anyone got any ideas?"

"Well, if we know they travel underground, then maybe we can just report the tunnels to the mps." Armin suggested.

"No use, do you really think the traffickers are just going to sit back and relax while a ton of mps march through their tunnels? No, they're gonna run." Levi replied.

"I say we go through the tunnels and take them out right here." Mikasa added.

Kaya thought about this plan, it had some faults but it could work. Mikasa and Kaya could easily sneak through unnoticed or even protest that they were sent through the tunnel by John and Mateo. Currently, this was the best plan they had going.

"Huh, are you crazy?" Eren shouted at the ravenette.

"No, she's perfectly sane." Kaya contributed. "Probably." She muttered before continuing. "Me and Mikasa could sneak through and if anyone asks any questions then we can just say that we were held at gun point and had to go down there. Once we're in, I'll cause a distraction so you guys can slip past any guards and it'll be a breeze." The ghoul explained.

"A breeze?" Jean quirked a brow.

"It's not exactly perfect, but it'll do for now." The captain agreed.

Soon enough, the two girls had their hands in loose knots behind their backs, trying to make their act look believable. If the thief was being honest, the plan was pretty stupid, in fact, she had no idea why anyone even agreed to it. It was full of faults. No one knew where the tunnel led, no one knew if there were guards, no one knew if there were any hostages and there was no telling the amount of danger that lurked beyond the tunnels. Nonetheless, the girls continued walking.
