Sonic's P.O.V.
I heard yelling nearby. It was Shadow's. He was pleading to be left alone, he was yelling at someone to stop. He was in pain, and it hurt me to hear him yelling like that. I didn't know what to do but I followed the noise.

I ended up in the water fall, where he proposed to me. I was happy with him, I truly was but then he betrayed me. He used me, I thought I could trust him. I thought he loved me.

I no longer heard the pleads, there was no yelling. It was calm. I looked down at the water and I sighed. I remember when he taught me how to swim, he failed at it but I am not longer terrified of water. He calmed me down, helped me with so many things. Why would he do this?

"I thought I told you I never wanted to see you again." I heard his voice and I quickly stood up and growled at him. He chuckled at that. "You're not scary at all, Sonic. You don't intimidate me or anyone for that matter."

"Why did you use me?" I growled louder and made my hands as fist.

"Because you're weak and I was getting bored of you always chasing me around." He growled and kept a straight face. I dashed to him and tried to punch him but he disappeared and appeared behind me then kicked me making me fall. "You're careless and stupid." He snarled.

"I am so done with you!" I launched at him but he disappeared, appeared behind me again and punched me in the face then stepped on my ankle.

"I'll see you soon. I am still not done with you." With that said, he left me with a now twisted ankle.

It past a couple of days and I had no idea where he was at. I have been away from everyone else, not answering calls, nor messages and I have been away from the big cities trying to look for Shadow. I wanted my revenge, I wanted for him to know exactly how I felt.

"What is it Sonic...? Are you scared? Hurt? You feel betrayed?" I heard a voice. "You want to tell him that you hate him? That you will never marry him?" Was it Dark?

"Who the heck are you?" I growled as I said it out loud in case it wasn't Dark trying to talk to me.

"What are you going to do when you see him?" I heard a laugh, it echoed through the forest. "You are too weak to hurt him, you are still hurt." That laugh wouldn't leave.

"Who are you?!" I snapped.

"A friend." He said but I could not recognize the voice. "Someone who is giving you a chance to be someone new. Without Shadow, without your friends." He kept laughing. It was irritating.

"S-Sonic...?" I turned around and I saw Shadow. I growled at him. He looked so hurt and weak. Someone had hurt him. Good.

This wasn't me...

Shadow's P.O.V.

The moment I saw my escape after the hours of torture, I took it. I ran ignoring the pain that I had. The bandage I had wrapped around myself was the only thing covering the wound. There was no stitches, there was nothing but my bandages. They had cut me open and started doing experiments on me. Who knows for how long or what exactly did they do, I did not care. They were painful.

I heard a voice then I heard Sonic and I felt my heart break. "Who are you?!" I heard him yell. Is it him? I thought I lost him... I can get my answers now...

"A friend. Someone who is giving you a chance to be someone new. Without Shadow, without your friends." I heard the other person laugh. I saw Sonic looking around and I pinned my ears down.

"S-Sonic...?" I stuttered from being weak and not believing he was there. I saw him die right in front of me. He was dead. He was across the river so I couldn't get closer and he couldn't either.

"Shadow." He glared at me and growled. I took a step back. He really didn't love me, did he? So he did just use me all this time? "I hate you." He snarled at me, I had never seen him this mad before. I felt hot tears running down my muzzle.

"W-Why...? S-Sonic...Why did you...?" I asked but he cut me off.

"I thought you were different. I thought you had changed. But you really are NOTHING. You are still the asshole I met years ago who couldn't do the only job that was given to him, the reason why he was created." That broke my heard even more. "I cant believe Maria gave her life for you." He snarled at me making more tears roll down my muzzle and I growled.

"Shut up..." I mumbled.

"You are the reason she is dead!" He yelled.

"Shut up...Shut up! SHUT UP!" I snapped as I growled loudly at him and panted heavily from my anger. I could not fight now but now I knew exactly that Sonic never loved me. "I thought I loved you, but I was wrong." I cleaned the tears. "I am going to kill you, FAKER." I chaos controlled away with the little amount of energy I had left then passed out not even caring where I had gone.
