I woke up to my bed being way too hard. I shifted, trying to find a more comfortable position only to have a hair tickle my face.

Wait, what?

I sat up and looked around the room. The room looked like a glitter bomb blew up in here and a tornado rampage around just for good measure. Oh, right, we had a mini party.

Near me, three sleeping girls were spread out from where we had collapsed on the floor the night before. It was Chamille's hair that tickled me. I chuckled as I saw the pieces of plastic in her hair. We had tried to tame her wild purple frizz, but it just ended up with our combs and brushes breaking. That girls hair is strong.

Tox had woken up by now and stared in horror at her room.

"What happened!"

Her voice woke up the other two, and it was pretty comical to see their confusement.

We had come down for food after giving up with Tox's room and Chamille's hair.

I picked up a tray and stood in the line behind the ninja. Garmadon was at the front, and he had just been refused creamy biscuits.

"There's a valuable lesson here, son; if you turn your back on your first evil sensei in an effort to go straight, you may not be served creamy biscuits." He said before walking away to a table.

I snickered.

"Well, I know what we are being served, a whole bunch of baloney. This isn't a fighting tournament. it's an alibi for Chen to steal everyone's powers." Lloyd said.

"Wait, what?!" I couldn't stop myself from butting in to the conversation.

The ninja turned towards me, not realising that I was listening.

"You know it's rude to eavesdrop?" Kai said, annoying the heck out of me.

"Yeah, well, you shouldn't be having private conversations in public," I snapped before turning to Lloyd. "What do you mean by Chen stealing our powers?"

Lloyd looked around.

"Come sit with us, we'll explain everything." He walked off to his da,  ignoring his teammate'  protests.

I quickly gathered my food and turned to follow hi,  almost walking into a wall of red. I looked up at Kai. He was staring at me as if he was trying to solve a problem.

"Can I help you?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Have we met before?" That caught me off guard.

"I mean, we met yesterday when you almost broke my neck by pushing me down the stairs."

"No, I mean before all... this. " He waved his arms around in the air.

Confused, I looked up into his warm brown eyes.... wait a minute.

Warm brown eyes?

"Oh my gosh, you're that ninja," I exclaime.  "The one that saved me when The Great Devourer attacked!"

His eyes widened with realisation.

"Oh yeah, I remember no. You were that tiny blonde head that almost got trampled."

"Tiny! I was the same height as you!"

"Yeah, well,  now you're shorter than me."

"There's barely any difference." I insisted as we continued walking to the  table passing Cole and Jay who were bickering.

"Taking a day off? And here I thought Ninja never quit."

"And I used to think a ninja wouldn't steal your girlfriend!" Jay countered.

Woah.

Before I could ask any questions, Kai dragged me away, his face thundering. I decided not to ask him what that was about.

We sat at the table, and Cole and Jay managed to stop fighting and sat down with us.

"OK, Lloyd, spill it. What did you mean by Chen stealing our powers? Isn't that impossible or something?" I questioned.

Lloyd started telling me about the reason why they were on the island in the first place: to find their friend Zane. Whilst looking for him, they stumbled upon a secret passage way in Kai's room and managed to sneak into some kind of underground cult where they stole Karloff's powers with some kind of staff.

"And get this, Chen stole Karloff's powers with ice, which means he already stole Zane's." Jay finished off.

I sat back, staring at them in shock, and my food completely forgotten.

"Soooo what do you think?" Lloyd asked after a moment of silence.

"I don't know what to think, I'm still kinda processing." I replied.

Thankfully, I was saved from more revelations as the P.A. system turned on.

 "The tournament of elements continues. Fun time!" Chen's voice said. "Would the following masters please make their way to their assigned arenas:  Speed, Gravity, Smoke, Nature, Mind. Oh, and last but hopefully not least -"

"Huh, maybe we'll all get the day off." Jay said.

"Fire! Remember, only one can remain."

I spent two of the fights trying to organise my thoughts while sitting in the corner of the bleachers.

I watched Kai's match sitting upfront with the guys cheering him on.

At first, things looked bad for Kai, seeing as how he couldn't land a hit on Ash, the master of smoke. But Kai soon figured out a way out of it by throwing fireballs at Ash so that Ash would disappear and Kai could get the Jade blade behind him.

I stood up and cheered as Kai held up the blade, I then came to a decision I would help the ninja defeat Chen.

I caught up with the ninja before they entered the room with the brackets. I tapped Lloyd on the shoulder and waited for him to turn around.

"I want to help." I announced, catching the attention of the other ninja and Garmadon.

"In what?" Garmadon asked.

"I want to help you take down Chen."

"No way, you're not trained for that kind of stuff." Lloyd said.

"Oh yeah?" I asked, shifting onto one leg, my hands on my hips, my eyebrow raised. "Who says? You've never seen me fight."

"What kind of training have you done?" Cole butted in.

"I've been doing martial arts and gymnastics ever since I was 5. I've got more years of experience in fighting than most of the people here."

"I mean, Lloyd, don't we need some extra help?" Thank you, Jay.

Lloyd looked around for a moment, then sighed and nodded.

"Alright, you can help us."

I grinned as we stepped into the bracket room where everyone was crowding around the brackets.

"What's all the commotion about?" Jat asked.

The other elemental masters moved out of the way so we  could see that Jay and Cole had been moved into the same bracket. 

"No, he can't do this." Cole whispered.

"He already did." Kai answered.

Black and blue looked at each other.

"We gotta fight... each other." 

"But why does it say thar I've got to fight with Cole?" Jay panicked. "It didn't say that before. I'm not ready to fight. This was supposed to be my day off."

Him and Cole started bickering again as Clouse came up to us, grinning like a cat with cream in its mouth.

"Is there a problem, ninja?" Ugh, please rip my ears of.

"You cheated. You changed the brackets." Cole accused.

"Oopsies."  Clouse walked away.

Jay started freaking out again, completely forgetting that he has elemental powers, while Garmadon gave them some shit advice.

"Don't listen to my dad," Lloyd said. "We find Zane, then none of us have to battle. Your fight isn't until tonight, so we still have time to figure out what Chen is planning and stop him."

An idea formed in my mind.

"I think i know the person who can help us," I flashed a confident smile.

We walked up to Nuero, the master of mind. He was sitting on one of the rocks outside, looking like he was meditating.

"We need your help Neuro." Lloyd said.

"You think I can get close to Chen and read his mind, so you can find your robotic friend and not have to fight."

"And don't forget -" Kai started.

"You still need to know what Chen's up to because he's hiding something."

Jay, for some reason, decides to annoy Neuro, which ended up with Cole and Jay fighting.... again. I'm getting so tired of these two.

Lloyd got Neuro to read his mind, which showed Karloff's powers gotten taken away. It seemed to almost convince the master of mind.

"I'll do it," He turned to me. "But only if you answer a question I have."

I tilted my he'd to the side, then nodded.

"How are you doing that with your thoughts?" 

"What do you mean?" I asked, scrunching my nose in confusion.

"I mean, how are your thoughts so fast? I can't understand them. It's like picking up water they slip through my fingers. There's so many emotions and not many pictures. Your mind is hectic as a tornado, yet it also seems calm. How are you doing that?"

"I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about." I say.

Cole and Jay's  match has started, and they were at eachothers throats about to kill the other. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but soon enough, it seemed that they had come to some kind of agreement because they stopped trying to kill each other and started to fight hand to hand combat.

Chen started to get bored and released the Condrai Crushers. But Jay and Cole were working together and managed to take them all.

Then the floor started disappearing one tile at a time, trying to take them both out.

Cole jumped on the weird talk thing in the middle of the arena and picked up the blade. He looked at it for a second before throwing it ro Jay. He said something before he fell.

I stared in shock as Chen announced Jay the winner, I had started hoping that they would both win, and now we have two ninja to save.

Looks like we have a lot of work to do.
