"SINK THE FERRY, no ones getting of this island!" Jay shouted as Bolobo used vines to sink the ferry.

The same ferry we used to get here.

I turned to Kai, who was watching the scene next to me.

"If no one is getting off the island, how are we getting back?" I asked.

"We have the roto jet and stuff." He unenthusiasticly gestured at the 'stuff'.

There wasn't enough for all of us to get off this island. I was going to point this out to him, but he seemed a bit down.

The rest of the ninja soon joined, Cole was last.

"The palace and sleeping quarters are all clear. No sign of Chen or Clouse." He reported.

"What about Skylor?" Kai asked desperately.

"She wasn't able to pick her family, but she was able to pick her friends. And since you're her friend, then so are we. We'll find her." Lloyd said.

Wow, was I the only one who didn't clock that Kai liked Skylor?

Cole nodded. "He's right, with no way of the island. it's only a matter of time."

"I'm proud of you six." Garmadon surprisingly included me in. "You've done what the original elemental masters never could stick together. But you must never rest on your laurels, for your guard is down when you're asleep."

~What's a laurel?~

Griffin came running over to us the blur behind him, indicating that he was using his speed.

"Chen's just figured that Skylor's power can finish the spell. She's in danger!"

"He's replaced the elements in his staff with the elements of his daughter." Garmadon realised.

"That's sick." I whispered.

"Where?" Kai demanded.

"On the other side of the island." Griffin pointed.

Kai ran towards a buggy. "I'm going after her."

"We all are. Jay, Zane, and Echo take the mech and buggies. Cole and I will take the roto jet. Lloyd has his dragon. Nya, how fast will she go?" Garmadon asked.

"Fast enough." She replied, looking at her mobile base.

"Everyone else, stay here and guard the camp. Let's get a move on!" Garmadon commanded.

We all did as he said, and Nya warned us about booby traps.

I got into one of the buggies and drove off. Since we were in a forest, the floor was bumpy, but despite that, I saw someone moving. Screeching to a halt, I turned to look at the movement and only saw eyes watching me.

Nervously, I grabbed a dagger from my belt.

"Sky, is that you?"

A rustling came from the person before I got rugby tackled out of the buggy, hitting the ground really hard. I looked up, and anger surged over me. Standing over me was Abby.

I jumped up and faced her.

"What do you want?" I asked, trying not to rip her face off.

"Chen sent me here to finish you."

"Why are you even working for him?"

"He pays more in one week than you do in a whole year."

"But you had one of the highest salaries in Ninjago!" I pointed out.

"ONE of the highest, now i am the highest!" She started circling me.

"I still don't get it, I thought we were friends." I said, tracking her movements.

She let out a bark of laughter, surprising me.

"Friends! Us! You're too funny. You were always on your high horse before the accident that took your family."

I frowned. "Did I know you before?"

"See! You can't even remember someone you saw almost every day! I'm glad your family died and you were homeless because it managed to push you down from your high horse. In fact-"

I saw red and jumped on her, stabbing my dagger into her shoulder. Her scream was melodious to my ears, and the blood gushing out was gorgeous. I aimed for her neck, but she moved, and I only knicked her. But that knick still drew blood.

Kicking me off her, she stood up and stared at me for a second before disappearing into the forest.

I stormed back into the buggy and turned around back to the palace.

When I got back, Lloyd's Elemental dragon flew above me before he dropped next to me.

"Woah, are you OK?" His brows creased with concern.

"What do you mean?"

He gestured at my clothes, looking down. I realised that my light pink gi had blood stains on it.

"Oh, it's not mine." I shrugged, acting nonchalant when in reality my heart felt warm that someone cared enough to ask.

"What do you mean it's not yours? Did you kill someone?"

"I wish." I mumbled.

Lloyd grabbed my shoulders. "Echo! Who's blood is it?"

"You know that brown haired girl that was with Chen?" He nodded. "Well, she and I got into a fight, I stabbed her in the shoulder, got some blood on me, and then she ran away."

Lloyd opened his mouth, but something over my shoulder caught his attention.

"Dad!" He shouted, running over to his father, who looked like he fell out of a tree.

Garmadon looked around. "I don't see Skylor or Kai."

"They said they're on their way." Shade said.

Suddenly, Garmadon crouched fell on the ground with a groan of pain.

"Dad? What's wrong?"

"I don't know." He gasped out.

I stared in horror at his tattoo that was glowing and not in the good way.

"Something inside of me, something is changing." He realised.

He started to glow and let out a scream of pain before standing up. He had turned into a snake, his scales were puple, and his grey hair had turned into a light shade of purple. And he had a looooong tail behind him.

"The spell," Garmadon gasped. "The spell, it's completed. If everyone with the mark is affected..."

Coming to realisation, we all looked at the cultists we tied up. But instead of being normal human beings, they had turned into purple snakes like Garmadon. They quickly broke the bonds that were holding them and descended on us.

We fought back, but they were winning.

"They're too strong." Cole shouted.

"They're too fast!" That was the Master of Speed.

"And too many! Retreat! Get everyone to the palace!" Garmadon commanded.

"Everyone retreat!" Lloyd passed on.

We all ran back into the palace where Cole and Karloff leaned against the door.

Jay turned and jumped, seeing Garmadon, he created electricity between his hands. "Snake among us!"

Lloyd stepped between them. "No, wait! It's my dad!"

I turned to go help hold down the door, though I doubt I did anything.

"Uh? A little help here?" Cole called out.

The rest of the masters came and helped, but those snakes were still managing to push the door.

"Anyone know any knock knock jokes?" Cole asked. "Cause this ain't funny anymore!"

Randomly, the attacks on the door stopped, and Cole went to open the door.

"Don't! It could be a trick!" Jay cried.

We all ran up the ladder on the right of us emerging on top of the outer wall, where we found Chen and his snakes stealing the jets. He also had been snakey-fied.

"Take care of the island. It's yours now. We'll be taking Ninjago now!" He shouted before they took off, leaving us with no way of this island.

"This is just priceless!" Jay started. "He took the Roto Jet and all the Blade Copters!"

"What have we done?" Nya asked.

"We all have families in Ninjago." Griffin said.

I don't.

I could hear Jay freaking out.

"Your father was right, Lloyd. We thought we had the upper hand. Our guard was down, and look what happened." Cole sadly said.

Lloyd looked out at sea, a determined expression crossing his face. "I'll go."

"On your own? Are you crazy?" I asked.

"You're going to take on his whole army?" Nya raised a brow.

"I'm the only one with an Elemental dragon."

"Not anymore!" Zane came around the corner with an ice dragon.

"He unleashed the dragon!" Karloff said in awe.

Jay stopped freaking out and came over. "Oh, Zane. None of us could do that before. You got to tell us how you got it!"

"I faced my fear. When I realised that it wasn't something in front of me but something inside of me that was holding me back, I discovered a new power. A dragon power!"

We all cheered for him, and then Kai came on his own elemental dragon with Skylor begins him. She had also turned into a snake.

"We all have this power inside of us. But you have to see that it's not the Anacondrai that we're afraid of. It's our doubt. Divided, we failed, but together, we will succeed!"

I could feel the determination coming of the other masters as they jumped off the building, calling out their elements as their dragons appeared.

I soon was the only person on the wall except for Garmadon and Nya. Garmadon put a hand on my shoulder.

"You can not do this yet. You have to find your true potential."

I nodded before he got onto Lloyd's dragon, and Nya got on Jay's.

Chammile came down on her dragon that matched her hair.

"Hey, I'm sorry about the stuff I said to you." She apologised.

"It's fine."

"Friends?"

"Friends. Also, can I get a ride? I can't make a dragon right now."

"Sure, hop on."

I got on her dragon, and we flew up to everyone else and came in time to hear Kai speaking.

"Chen brought us here so that only one would remain. Well, we are one!"

With new inspiration, we all flew out to sea in the direction of Ninjago.
