I stretched my arms, keeping my eyes locked on Brandon, the crazy psycho I'm supposed to be fighting.

I took my eyes off him to look around properly. We were placed in an arena that seemed like a small desert. It was a circular shape with nothing but sand, a pedalstool, and a few random cacti. Huge yellow walls rose all around us as the spectators sat at the top..... and that's it. No Jade blade. 

A fanfare started blaring from the loudspeakers just before Chen started talking.

"Welcome! Today, this match is a bit more different than normal, as you can see - or can't see - there is no Jade blade. That is because the Jade blade has been hidden somewhere, find the Jade blade, and take it to the pedalstool, and you win. So let's get started! Echo master of illusions vs Brandon master of multiplication. Fight!"

Before I could react Brandon's eyes started to glow a more brighter yellow, the glow started travelling all over his body and with a flash of light there were 2 Brandons, then 4 then 8 and so on until half the arena was filled with him.

They all smirked at me identically at the same time, which, by the way, is creepy.

"Cute trick, but I can basically do the same thing." I called out as I started concentrating.

The familiar warmth filled me up leaking out of my fingertips, and soon there were copies of me everywhere. Enough to challenge Brandon.

All my illusions started running all over the place as Brandons copies tried to take them out. They succeeded. Ignoring the strain on my brain, I made more illusions to replace the ones that disappeared after getting hit.

It felt like two people were playing tug of war with my brain. I could barely think clearly. My throat started to ache, and I opened my mouth to suck in some air, I hadn't even realised that I was holding my breath. So it made sense when I lost my hold on my powers and that my illusions all collapsed.

I collapsed as well.

I was still conscious, but I couldn't find the energy to get up. I could hear Brandon tearing up cacti after cacti, probably looking for the Jade blade. 

I smiled. He would never find it like this because I already knew where it was. I snuck in before and saw where one of the servants hid it. I was sitting right on top of it.

A shovel appeared in front of me as a headache so severe I saw white came to say hello.

Once the monstrosity of a headache had disappeared, I finally got up and started digging up the ground as fast as I could. Not even 5 seconds later, my shovel hit something with a clank.

I reached in praying that I wouldn't touch something alive. My hands curled around the cool handle as I pulled it out of the ground just as someone rugby tackled me.

I kicked Brandon off me and started running towards the pedalstool. Just before I could put it on there, Brandon stole the blade right of my hand.

"Check." He said, smirking before turning.

I kicked the blade out of his hand  into the air and jumped for it. Even though my body screamed at me not to I built a cage around him and landed with the blade in my hand.

"Checkmate." I said before putting the Jade blade on the pedalstool.

Boom.

I was trying to walk back to my room to rest, but everyone wanted to say their congratulations. I was down the hall when i heard someone call my name, I turned around right after my knees collapsed underneath me. My vision started going black as I saw red arms catching me.

I woke up in my room. How did I get here? The last thing I remember is red arms catching me right before I hit the floor.

"I have a question," I turned startled to find Garmadon standing in the corner of the room."Have you reached your true potential yet?"

"What's that?" I asked as he brought me some tea.

I dont trust him, but I really need some tea right about now, so I sipped some and some more even if it did taste a little funky.

"Just as I thought, you have a marvellous talent for being able to control your powers without reaching your true potential. But today, you pushed too hard."

"So how do I reach this potential thingy?" My head was getting a bit fuzzy.

"By overcoming your greatest obstacle in your heart. But we'll talk about this another day, you need your sleep."

Which is what I want to tell him  but the gentle tides of sleep dragged me away.
