"THE SKY IS SPLENDID TODAY, ISN'T IT?" There stood a man, his light brown hair fitted with his shoulder just perfectly. His lilac eyes gave a soft stare towards the nine people who bowed in front of him, and yes indeed, the man is blind. It is a curse that had gone from leader after leader of the Ubuyashiki Clan. The man's name is Ubuyashiki Kagaya but his children often called him as Oyakata-sama. He dusted his white Haori before sitting down on his tatami, he took in the fresh smell of air through his nostrils and he smiled in a satisfied manner afterwards.

On his right side stood his daughter, and his wife on the left side. His beloved daughter, Kanata, she held a folded letter in her small arms. Oyakata-sama raised his hand to his daughter gesturing for her to open and read the letter to him. Then the said little girl nodded in understandment, she took one step forward as her fingers fiddled on the edges of the paper - opening it. Her lips opening to read the letter loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Dear, Oyakata-sama

"I am here to inform you about the information you asked me to help investigate about the second pillar who is also the one who discovered the breathing of illusion. I have gone into Haganamoto Mountains and to my surprise, I do see an old temple -- at first I don't see any presence of a (H/C) haired 18 years old girl. But when I came closer to the temple, there is this strange thin wall that hides her presence from the outer world. When I walk through this thin walls, I can't believe anything in front of my sight..

"The old temple suddenly turned into a clean looking temple that is surrounded by wisteria trees, and there I can sense the presence of a person living in the temple. However, the person seemed to notice me as well. The said girl does have long (H/C), (S/C) skin, and small horns sticking from both sides of her head. She introduced herself as (Y/N) (L/N), but she didn't say anything about her being a hashira nor a former hashira, which is understandable considering the fact she haven't interacted with the outside world in such decades,

"When I introduced myself, she seemed to take notice that I had indeed been a part of the Demon Slayer Corp. and a former hashira too, she told me she already knows the reason of my sudden appearance. She claimed that she is not interested on being a Demon Slayer nor a hashira anymore, and just like how you told me. I told her that this time we're here to defeat Kibutsuji Muzan, there I saw a tint of anger in her eyes. Afterwards, she told me that she will consider it,

However, when I try to talk to the girl again. She and her temple suddenly disappeared, with that I decided to leave and write this letter to you. I hope that you are not disappointed, Oyakata-sama.

Regards, Sakonji Urokodaki,"

Kanata folded the paper back neatly, taking a step backward as she stood beside her father again. Oyakata-Sama's expression turned into a sad one, his lilac eyes adverting its gaze to the ground. But, he sat there patiently as he hears his hashiras bicker from one and another about this mission they have just received. "Is there anything you want to ask?" Asked the man softly, his gaze still on the ground.

For Ubuyashiki Kagaya, all he wanted was peace. He wants to watch the world without the demon or any man-eating creature walking on their ground, he wants his children and his wife to have a pleasant life. Away from the cursed demons, that is also the goal of Ubuyashiki Clan. To give peace to the world by banishing the demons away from the human's place, and the only way to do that is by killing Kibutsuji Muzan, the one behind this mess.

The father of all demons, have done enough. His actions needed to stop immediately, Ubuyashiki and his hashiras along with the Demon Slayer corps is here to fight him, whatever it takes. It has been their vow to fight for human's peace, and perhaps one day, they will be written as heroes of the decade.

"Oyakata-sama, may I ask you a question?" The said man lifted his head slightly when he heard his name being called, he blinked a few times -- cutting his train of thoughts -- before painting a light smile upon his face, staying quite; although the man already knew that Ubuyashiki's silence meant as a gesture for him to continue with his words. The man who spoke had spiky white hair, it seemed messy as it's have never been styled or even combed.

The white haired man also had scars across his face and body, despite the scars that covered almost every inch of his body. It didn't hide of what used to be a gorgeous feature on him, his Demon Slayer uniform wasn't properly worn at all which caused it to expose the man's well toned body. What caught attention the most is his eyes, his purple orbs seemed to be so piercing and dangerous whenever you gaze onto it. Who is this man? Well, he is the wind hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa. Who bath himself with hatred towards the demons.

"This, urhm, second pillar. How is she still alive?" Despite having such rough appearance, Sanemi does have a deep gentle voice. His respect towards Oyakata-sama was drawn perfectly within his tone of speaking, "It must have been over a decade, 100 years or more ever since the first pillar was founded,"

Soon enough, another voiced butted into the two's conversation, "That's right!" The voice boomed in its natural cheerful and positive tone, "How can someone live over a decade and still look like an 18 years old? Is she using some kind of allusion to her own body so she still looks young? Hm, hm! That seems intresting if she did it for real!"

Oyakata-sama chuckled upon hearing his children's silent bickers, usually the nine pillars are mostly quiet but it seems that today, Kyoujuro Rengoku and Uzui Tengen seems to be drawn to this mission more than the other does, curiosity glistening in their eyes and perhaps either way he had to tell the hashiras more information about (Y/N) (L/N) before sending the nine of them away to her temple. The brunette cleared his thoughts before deciding to answer Sanemi's question, "Shinazugawa-san," He started, once again drawing all attention to him.

"I don't really know how the real events went because I was not there to see it, but my father used to tell me this story as how I always tell my children about this story currently. You see.. There is the sun breather, Yoriichi who adventures from places to places along with his partner in the battlefield, which he trust the most, it was the owner and creator of the breath of illusion, (Y/N),

"The former leader of the Demon Slayer Corp. gave the two a special mission, where they should investigate the source of the demons and how did they existed. And that's when they met with the father of the demons; Kibutsuji Muzan, the two were surprised at how powerful his aura is but neither Yoriichi or (Y/N) wanted to give up. So they fought him, with the hopes of slaughtering him right away,

"But it failed, even if they managed to damage him fatally. They couldn't cut his head off and so, the sun began to rise, but -- (Y/N)'s illusion technique was making Kibutsuji himself confused on which is reality and which isn't. So he aimlessly attacks with his blood art technique,

"At first, it was, intended that Yoriichi is the one to take the blow. But (Y/N) decided to take it, so, the curse hit her and Kibutsuji managed to escape the fight. The side effects were hideous I must say, I couldn't imagine how it must feel to see your own friend struggling like this, but from what I recalled my father telling me, (Y/N) began to tremble and puked blood non-stop, her eyes went bloodshot and cuts began to make it ways into her body somehow. Then, she began to shift into a demon-like creature for a moment, and Yoriichi thought that he had lost her -- that she had turned into a demon,

"But her transformation didn't succeed, why? No one knows why, even Yoriichi didn't know why. What he tells is this; I don't know, she just shifts back into a human, but she had horns sticking from both sides of her head.. Although I don't sense any demon presence, I felt something different from her as if her living aura was gone. Then we learned, Kibutsuji had hit her with the blood art which contain the most hurtful curse ever.. Immortality,

"Years passed, and yes, (Y/N) didn't age. Her looks remained 18 even if she is 72 years old, she watches her own friend turn old and watch him passed away. It must've been very hurtful.. And after Yoriichi's funeral, she just disappeared. She only leaves a letter which only have one word in it Haganamoto in it, with a drawing of the sun and cards drawn over it. It took us years, decades until we can locate Haganamoto Mountain, where the key of defeating Kibutsuji Muzan settled and we need to take her back,"

Anger, there was anger inside Oyakata-sama's voice. He tried his best to hide it, but it's not a hundred percent effective, he didn't want to see his children die every day. It was painful, he don't want to see them suffer like that. It's the time to end this, well prepared.

"Oyakata-sama," A stern but also whisper-like voice reached out, he lowered his head in a bowing manner towards the brunette with respect drawn over his gestures. Soon all of the nine hashira lowered their heads too, following the heterochrome man's actions, "We shall bring (Y/N) (L/N) to you safely, then. We will try not to disappoint you," The white snake that rested on his shoulder hissed, but the man patted his head so it will calm down -- it was the serpent hashira, Obanai Iguro is the man's name.

"Hai!" A loud one raised its voice, there stood a sparkly man with accessories hung here and there across his features. His wine colored eyes glimmering in excitement, the wine colored orbs belonged to Tengen Uzui, the sound hashira, "We shall bring you the girl as flamboyant as possible! As long as I'm there I won't let anyone get hurt!" His laughter boomed, only to be smacked on the back of his head by a black haired girl, but her hair fades into purple softly when it reaches its ends.

"Ara, Ara.. Uzui-San, we are in front of Oyakata-sama. Please show some respect!" The insect pillar smiled, but Uzui himself knew that it was a smile that screams danger. Soon some of his hashiras began to bicker back and forth towards each other, it is a rare moment to see them like this but Ubuyashiki Kagaya he might as well treasure this moment.

His lilac eyes dazed towards the sky, although he couldn't see it, he could feel the warmth and comforting breeze of the sky. There he sat in silence as he says his prayers in his heart, he always keeps faith in every Demon Slayers that have been apart of this journey, he believed everyone had their own potential to become stronger. After all, everyone gets strong with their own style.

Gods above, please, give protection to my children so they can see the world peace beside me.

Tengen Uzui, Kyoujuro Rengoku, Iguro Obanai, Mitsuri Kanroji, Shinobu Kocho, Muichiro Tokito, Giyu Tomioka, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Gyomei Himejima. I shall wish you luck.
