Okay so here's my online cat Dakota

A p p e a r a n c e : Dakota has a medium sized build with a furry tail. Her fur is a sunset-like ombre with heart shaped spots which run along her whole back. Her yellow, almost golden eyes match her fur color.
S p e c i e s : Leopard (a-little-fern you okay with this?)

P e r s o n a l i t y : Dakota is fierce with anyone she doesn't know. If she trusts someone, it'll be from earning their trust. She is loyal to those she does know though, and protects them well. It can be hard for her to accept that [people/animals/whoever] actually care about her. She's more independent, and loves some time for herself up in a tree where she can still observe things around her. With Dakota, she never wants to accept she may need help. She never relaxes, and instead thinks of herself as her [friends and family's] loyal protector, and won't do anything to make them think they can't trust her.

B a c k s t o r y : Dakota grew up with her grandfather, since her parents had died. Her mother died from drowning and her father perished from a horrible disease. She was old enough to remember them but young enough to still need a guardian to watch over her and protect her.

Dakota's grandfather didn't seem that old at first. He taught the leopard how to defend herself and how to fend for herself. Everyone grows old though, and soon enough Dakota was the one looking after her grandfather. She hunted for him and protected him from enemies. She healed any wounds he got including herself. She wasn't an expert on herbs, but knew enough to keep them alive. That was, until her grandfather died in his sleep.

From then on, Dakota vowed she would always protect the ones close to her as fiercely as she could, so she didn't lose them. She wouldn't tell anyone about her past or that she was scared to lose them. Instead, she would just focus on protecting them and keeping her secrets well hidden.
