Creepy bugs
Okay so you know how I have entomophobia? Fear of bugs? Yeah remember that when reading this.
Today started out like any other day. Schedule with things every hour up until 4 pm, right?
Well my sister was finishing up dishes and I was in the dining room watching Netflix on my tablet when she walks in with an ice pack on her head and blood dripping down her face.
Long story short, she had to get a staple in her head but the cut wasn't too deep, head wounds just bleed a lot.
So we come home about *does math* 5 hours later and there are like 5 palmetto bugs in our kitchen.
If you don't know what they are, they are like roaches but twice the size, they fly, they don't multiply, and they only come out at night and in the summer when it gets warmer.
So my mom kills them but makes me clean them up. Except one of them though he was invincible so he was squashed but still tried to escape. I had to get him myself.
Then I had to take out the trash when it's like 11 pm and super dark outside. The trash bin is down by the street and on its side in the long grass.
Short story: one time when I went down to get the trash bin and it was on its side in the long grass, I picked it up and bugs were on the side of it, inside, and all over the handles. This was in the daytime.
So I hesitate and try to calm down. Right as I'm about to get the trash bin, my mom comes out and asks what's taking so long. Um, excuse me? Are you the one with entomophobia and a slight fear of things that come out of the dark? No.
During this whole thing I'm shaking, my heart is racing, my breath is coming out really fast, and I'm super jumpy. It didn't help that my little sister thought it was funny to come up behind me and pretend bugs were crawling all over me.
Yeah this is one of the reasons I can't wait to move to the mountains. There aren't any palmetto bugs up there.
