I woke up and I felt dizzy. It didn't help that I was being blinded by a stupid white light.

Where the hell am I?

I looked around and was blinded even more. 

I squinted and saw that I was in a room with a bunch of tubes filled with different colored liquid in each one and a bunch of needles everywhere.

I tried to get up, but I was restricted and I lifted my head up to see why I couldn't move. 

I was on a bed with straps over me. I started panicking again.

A chuckle I've never heard before entered the room.

"Kasumi Sarutobi," The newcomer spoke. "It's nice to see that Gin didn't fail his mission again,"

"Who the hell are you?" I demand.

"I'm Tsuyoshi Watanabe," He replied. "I'm sure you've heard of me,"

I looked up at him.

He was skinny, but he was tall. He also wore white-rimmed glasses, a white zip-up jacket, and had lavender-colored hair that went to his shoulders. His green eyes had a glint to them and he walked closer to me.

"No, I haven't," I retort.

"Seriously?" He replied. "You've never heard of the crazy scientist in the bingo book? I'm responsible for over half of the missing people and I'm formerly from the Land of Hot Water,"

I've heard of a crazy scientist in that area, but I didn't know if the stories were true. He was sadistic and they banished him because his experiments were too cruel and gruesome. Some of the experiments I heard were things that I wish I could un-hear.

I also heard from others that he tried too hard to be like Orochimaru.

"So are you telling me that you're just a knock-off of Orochimaru?

He narrowed his eyes.

"Don't ever compare me to him. He thinks he's the smartest and best scientist around, but after I get my hands on you, I'll prove him wrong," Tsuyoshi retorted.

"Don't come near me," I demanded and was struggling to break free.

"Once I combine your abilities with Test Subject 45, I'll be able to take over the world and I can kill Orochimaru myself," Tsuyoshi ignored me. "And, I'll finally be able to take total control over the Steam Village,"

I spit on him and it landed on his jacket.

He seemed even angrier than when I compared him to Orochimaru.

"You...you!" He couldn't form any insults. "Do you realize how expensive this jacket is? Now because of you, I have to go change into another one," He shouted in my face. 

"You'll regret that," He added, storming out of the room. 

"He's worse than a rich girl," I shook my head.

Now I have to figure out how to get out of here.

The door opened and Gin now walked in. I glared at him.

"So, I see you're no longer under the effects of the drug I injected in you," He said.

"What the hell did you put in me?" 

"I don't know the name, but Tsuyoshi created it. It's supposed to make you hallucinate and make you weak for a few hours," Gin replied. "And who's laughing now, Kasumi? I told you you'd come with me,"

"Stupid bastard. You let me go this instant!" I shouted, still struggling to break free.

"And you walked right into my trap too,"

God, I want to sock him in the face so bad right now.

"I knew if I posed as a villager, you would be easier to lure in. Then I knew if you heard about me coming around again, you would know where I would be hiding and you'd end up too blinded by your temper to think clearly,"

"You're such a bastard," I narrowed my eyes.

"I've heard worse names from you," He chuckled. "Itachi Uchiha isn't here to save you either and he'll never know where to find you,"

I kicked myself mentally for not listening to Itachi. Damnit, I should've just stayed put and let him take care of it. But no, I had to let my temper get to me.

I didn't reply and started pondering ways I could get out of this.

"What exactly are you gaining from this, Gin?" I asked.

"Tsuyoshi hired me to go find you and offered more money than he was offering originally if I were to bring him to you alive," He replied. 

Gin is truly a terrible person. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. He only pretends to care if it benefits him in any way.

I was stupid for falling for him back then.

Tsuyoshi walked back into the room and looked at Gin with annoyance.

"What did I tell you about coming in the lab? Get out, Moriyama" 

"Wait, I need-!"

"I said, GET OUT!" 

Tsuyoshi threw a scalpel in his direction and Gin dodged it. Gin practically ran out and he scoffed.

"Ex-assassin but he runs away from a scalpel, what a wuss," Tsuyoshi shook his head, but then started grinning down at me. If possible, it was more psychotic than Hidan's. "Now I can begin my experiment. Where should I start?

He had another scalpel in his hand and I could feel my heart racing.

This can't just be the end.

"Wait!" I shout at him.

"What?" Tsuyoshi asked, irritated.

"I'm uh, sick!" I said quickly. "I caught a really bad viral infection and it's affecting my strength and everything,"

He rose an eyebrow.

"Really? We'll take a look. I'm sure it's something I can fix, I can't have my test subject weak because it's going to make the plan fail,"

I let out a mental sigh of relief. I don't have that much time to stall because he's going to figure out I'm lying. 

He drew some blood and exited the room when he was done.

I had to figure out how to get out of this and quick.

I looked around and saw he left the scalpel on the table next to me. I could cut the straps, but I would have to figure out how to get it in my hand.

I tried reaching over with my neck, but it wasn't enough.

I started moving to the side so I could maybe tip the bed over enough to grab it with my teeth. I kept trying that over and over, but it didn't work. 

I didn't have much time.

I took a deep breath and moved again, with more strength and the bed ended up falling over and knocked the table over. I prayed that Tsuyoshi wouldn't hear this.

I saw the scalpel was lying closer to me and I reached for it again with my teeth.

I have the scalpel. Great. The question is now what the hell am I going to do now? 

I heard a loud explosion and I nearly had a heart attack. 

"Kasumi?"

My heart pounded in anticipation.

"Itachi,"

He found me.

I heard footsteps and he lifted the bed back up. He quickly undid the straps on the bed and lifted me up.

"I told you not to follow me,"

"I was actually trying to go after him..." I trailed off, sheepish.

"Same thing. You're lucky I was able to track you down here," 

I looked over, seeing black flames by the wall and a bunch of random men I've never seen before came rushing into the room.

"What the hell!"

Itachi looked over at me. "I'll handle them. They'll be easy,"

I knew not to look at his eyes.

Gin suddenly walked in and looked shocked. "What? Impossible. No one knows where this is,"

"Well, apparently, you were wrong about that," I smirk. 

I started weaving signs. 

"Wind style, gale surge!"

I managed to hit Gin and the huge burst of wind knocked him to the ground. 

"Itachi, I'll handle him," I said and quickly ran outside where Itachi broke in from.

Gin followed and I weaved a sign, quickly forming a spear out of stones. I turned around and pointed it at him threateningly.

"Come near me and you'll be hit with this," 

That's exactly what I wanted him to do. I had to be smart about my sphere because it takes a lot out of me. I had to somehow make him think I was just trying to make a diversion.

Gin threw some shurikens in my direction, but I blocked them with the spear and managed to send them back flying towards him. Only two managed to stab him because he was able to block the others and I noticed he grunted.

He likes to use his tools if they're laced with poison, so if they were, that gives me an advantage.

He weaved a sign and mist started surrounding us.

I threw the sphere in his direction and he dodged it. 

I had it exactly where I wanted it to be.

I failed to notice a puddle beneath me and I felt him grab my ankle. I stumbled to the ground and he weaved a sign. 

"Fire style, flaming spear!"

He formed a sphere made out of flames and pointed it down at me. 

"This will be the end of you, Kasumi Sarutobi. I'm done chasing after you and I'll return you to Tsuyoshi. He'll just have to deal with you being dead,"

He thrust the spear down, but I managed to roll over in time and the sphere was right behind me.

I had to get him in the exact position I needed him to be or my final attack wouldn't work. 

I weaved another sign, forming a swirling ball of wind and threw it in his direction. It actually hit him and exploded on him.

He was knocked to the ground. Now he was in the exact position. 

"Not so fast, you won't be able to get me that way!"

Gin was probably thinking I was going to do my signature move. I'd always trick my opponents by using a wind jutsu that doesn't actually cause harm since it's more of a distraction and then get them with my earth release that buries them alive. 

It would be easier, but that's not the move I'm using this time. 

He threw a kunai towards a tree and then threw three more in different directions. He was using wires to keep me in this spot, but I knew he was going to do that. He widened his eyes when he realized he got my earth clone.

"Gin, you should know that when you tell your ex-girlfriends your attacks and strategies, they will remember that and use them against you one day," I sneered at him. 

He glared at me and didn't say a word.

"Now, it's time to stop you once and for all."

I didn't have a lot of chakra left, so I had to use my all for this final attack.

I grabbed the stone spear and pinned him to the ground with it. I then weaved a sign to ensure he wouldn't escape.

"Earth style, rock wall!"

Rocks surrounded him and I could feel myself starting to get a little nervous about whether this would actually work or not. 

I weaved the final sign.

"Earth style, volcanic dragon blast!"

A large dragon head formed and opened its mouth, shooting lava in the rock wall. 

There was no way he could survive that. 

I used the last bit of my strength to continue standing and the rock wall fell. I could see him lying on the ground, but he was still breathing.

He weakly looked over at me. "I have to say, I didn't expect that one, but you won't be able to get me this time."

We both moved at the same time, but I formed another stone spear and ran towards him with it. 

"You won't be able to survive this one, Gin!"

I pierced the spear right in his chest and I collapsed after that, panting.

I still held onto the spear and took one last look at him.

"What do you know...you actually got me."

I panted hard from the amount of chakra I've used to kill him, but I knew I had to give him one last sock in the face.

I kneeled down to the ground and he gave me a blank expression. "You may have gotten me, but there's no way you'll get past Tsuyoshi."

I gave him one last deserved punch in the face and he took his last breath. I felt like I could pass out at any moment.

He took his last breath and I felt as if I could pass out at any moment.

"Kasumi!"

That sounded a lot like Asuma.

What the hell is he doing here? He's not supposed to be here.

I looked over, seeing Asuma looking frantic. 

"Please tell me you're okay!"

I gave him a weak smile. 

"I...I just overused my chakra,"

I let go of the spear and he lifted me up. "I knew something was up,"

I heard footsteps.

"Well, well, the brother has come to save the day," 

I recognized that as Tsuyoshi. 

"I've already taken care of the other one and now I'm going to have to take care of your brother since he'll get in the way,"

Asuma looked alarmed and got in front of me. I got worried about Itachi after he said that. 

I had to push myself to keep Asuma from getting hit. 

He threw multiple scalpels at Asuma and I pushed him out of the way. Luckily, the scalpels missed me. 

"You need to rest," Asuma said to me. "Let me handle him,"

"Asuma, you won't be able to take him," I replied. "I know I'm low on strength, but you need my help too,"

Tsuyoshi smirked and just as he was about to make a move, he stopped suddenly and stared off.

Asuma and I exchanged glances, but then I realized what happened. We turned at the same time, and now my heart stopped. 

Itachi's eyes were already back to normal and Tsuyoshi fell to the ground, black flames engulfing around him. 

Itachi and I made eye contact and now, Asuma was looking at the two of us with visible confusion.

Oh no.
