A whole week went by and now I was dreading what was going to happen today. Itachi had to leave and go back to his criminal organization or they would get suspicious about him being gone for a week and a half. 

I wasn't looking forward to it, because I knew my feelings for him were strong and we got close. 

When I woke up, he was actually holding me in his sleep. I didn't want to move, so I just went back to sleep until I felt him move.

He didn't comment about how he was holding me in his sleep and we both pulled away to get up from the bed. 

"So, I guess today's the day, huh?" I sigh.

"Yeah, I think Kisame's starting to get suspicious so I need to go back,"

"I understand..." I trail off.

He could tell I was upset about him having to leave.

"Kasumi, remember, I told you I'm your enemy and you're my enemy," he said.

If he was my enemy, then why did he save me from Gin and Orochimaru? He even poked my forehead and smiled at me. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to hold your enemy in your sleep either.

Plus, he's still loyal to the Leaf Village in some ways. He's hiding something from me.

I didn't say anything to him and walked out of my room to go get us something to eat. 

I was feeling down, so I just made eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast. I was too lazy to cook anything else.

He walked into my kitchen and I handed him his food. 

"When do you plan on leaving today?"

"I was thinking around nighttime because that's when everyone will be asleep. If I try to leave now, it'll be too hard because there are too many people that could see me," Itachi replied. 

I wish he didn't have to go.

"Just don't leave without a word, I at least want to say goodbye to you," I sighed and ate my food.

He looked down at his plate as if he was conflicted himself. 

There was a knock at my door and I panicked. I quickly ate my food and put my dishes in the sink so it wouldn't look like there are two people staying here. Itachi used the transformation jutsu to turn back into my cat "Stormy" and I got myself together.

I walked over to the door and saw it was my father.

Oh god. Why is he here? 

"Can I come in?" he asks.

I was mentally panicking. 

"Um, sure," I said and invited him inside.

I looked around to see where Itachi was and thankfully, I saw him walking over to my room in his cat form.

Dad sat down on the couch and I sat down on the chair that was across the couch.

"What's up?" I ask.

"Kasumi," he sighed. "Did you sneak in the hot springs a few nights ago?"

My heart raced. Oh god. Did he know about Itachi?

I didn't reply and he smirked.

"I know because I saw you left this over there," Dad said and handed my mother's necklace over to me.

I sheepishly took the necklace back and he chuckled.

"I'm not angry at you, but you shouldn't do that anymore. Especially since Gin Takahashi is after you and since you didn't pay to get in," 

I sighed with relief, trying to calm my racing heart down.

"I'm sorry Dad, it's just I needed to relax and I didn't want to be around other people. I was paranoid about Gin and I needed to relax somehow, you know?" I replied.

"Well, just be careful at least. Have someone with you if you want to go out late at night, like Kakashi for instance or Asuma," He said. "Also, I found the necklace because I went there yesterday and I saw that necklace lying on the ground and you're the only person I know who wears it,"

"I'll be careful with it, this necklace means a lot to me," I said.

"Also, I wanted to let you know that I think Gin might be working with Orochimaru," Dad added.

"What makes you think that?" I ask.

"Anko reported that she found him on a mission and he had a mark that only Orochimaru is associated with,"

Why is Gin teaming up with Orochimaru? What the hell is going on? It's like has some sort of motive and I need to figure out what it is, to put a stop to him. 

"So, what's going to happen now?" I ask.

"Nothing yet. I'm still trying to devise a plan." 

After discussing Gin, Dad visited for a little while longer. I love him and all, but I need him to leave so I can spend some time with Itachi. 

Finally, he left and I told him I'd come to visit sometime. I locked the door after he left and I called out to Itachi.

"It's safe now!"

Itachi was back in his human form and walked in the living room.

"That was a close one. That's why I was skeptical about sneaking in the hot springs last week," Itachi replied.

"Hey, at least he didn't find out that you're here though," I shrug.

I gathered Itachi's things so he could get ready to leave and I put them on the couch. I dreaded every minute passing. 

Why did he have to leave? Why couldn't he just try to redeem himself and come back to the Leaf Village?

Itachi and I went to my room to take a nap since we were both tired and of course, he held me for one last time in his sleep. I was going to miss this and I was going to hate sleeping alone. 

Another hour passed and now it was time for him to go.

I hated it, but I knew it had to happen. 

"Are...are you going to come back?" I ask as he zipped his cloak up.

He looked at me, his lips twitching at the corner of his mouth.

"If I need help again, maybe I'll stop by," 

I didn't want him to leave. I wanted him to stay. I wanted him to live with me, but I knew it couldn't happen. I was cursed with catching feelings for the wrong types of guys. 

"Oh...okay..."

This was more painful than the last time we parted ways.

I could feel a tear threatening to slip down my cheeks and Itachi turned around to look at me. He could tell I was upset.

His onyx eyes gazed into my blue ones and we held our eye contact for more than a second.

Looking in his eyes like this made my body go haywire. My breathing was abnormal now, my heart was beating so fast that it felt like it would pop out of my chest, and I felt a chill going down my spine, in a good way. 

What was this man doing to me?

Neither of us said a word and he started walking over to me.

I couldn't form any words.

He gazed down on me, with an unreadable expression on his face. Is he just going to stare at me? What is he going to do?

He continued to look down on me and moved his hand slowly to my face and started stroking my cheek, gently and started to lean in. I started to get butterflies in my stomach. 

Oh no. This wasn't supposed to happen. What have I done?

His soft lips met mine and I closed my eyes, giving in. I instinctively wrapped my arms around his neck while one hand rested on my waist and the other was still resting on my face as he kissed me.

There was no going back now. I was officially in love with Itachi Uchiha, the Leaf Village's worst enemy. 

This kiss was wrong, but it felt so right. 

He pulled back and stared into my eyes, with that smile on his face. 

"I have to go now."

I watched him leave, completely speechless.

Did that really just happen?

Is he really going to leave me hanging like this?
