PROLOGUE

EMMALINE BANNER, was extremely gifted. But not like how you think, ever since she was a toddler she was the top of her class. She couldn't explain it no one could, but she was overly smart. So smart she had skipped 2 years of school and was now in her 2nd year of collage. She'd always understood everything, always able to spot any difference if she walked into a room. But there was one thing she didn't understand a person.

RIVER BARTON, the most skilled fighter in the Avengers compound. Most knew nothing of her just of who she was. The person she was before she lost her twin, he other half. She was Emmaline's best friend and Emmaline was hers but that changed just as quick as she dissappeared. Of course they still knew where she was but the person se was before was nowhere to be found. The once kind and harmless girl had turned into man - killing machine, she was now rough and mean. Not the girl Emmaline once knew and definitely not the girl Emmaline fell in love with.

But their story died along with Atlas, and like her it was forgotten. Now with River back and ready to stay, will she be accepted back in not by the group but by her the girl she loved and cared for but now the girl she ignored and brushed off?
