Angelo Vander

"Aren't you cold? It's already late." I asked as I walked into the room seeing Dakota standing on the balcony with a glass of champagne.

"I'm fine, the weather is nice." She said and I walked towards her.

"How's work?" She asked as she circled her arms around my neck. I gave her a kiss on her cheek.

"Busy as usual."

"Angelo." She looked at me straight into my eyes.

"Hmm?"

"Do you want to get married?" I froze when she said that.

"What's with that face? You rejecting me immediately with that face." She said as she pulled back.

"No."

"No?"

"No, I mean I'm not rejecting you." I said quickly.

"You look like you don't want to marry me." She pouted and I shook my head.

"It's not like that."

"Good night, Mr. De Luca." She glared at me and I stopped her from walking in.

"Of course, I want to marry you." I said and she smiled.

"As you should.." She said and I chuckled.

I reacted like that because I just bought the ring before I got home. I'm really going to propose to her but not today and not here in our house. I want it to be special and I'm glad that we're on the same page.

"You must be tired, go wash up and let's sleep." She said and I nodded.

Dakota Delaune

"Dakota, this is Caroline Lavigne. Carol, this is Dakota." Lana introduced us and Carol immediately gave me a hug.

"Sorry, it's a habit of mine." She said as she pulled back.

"It's okay." I smiled.

"You're really pretty, do you want to be my model?" She asked and I was caught out of guard.

"You should be her model." Lana said.

"I think I will pass.." I said and Carol pouted.

"You're too beautiful." She said as she leaned back to her seat.

"Excuse me." I turned to see a man approaching me.

"Can I get your number?" He asked.

"I have a boyfriend." I said and he immediately back out.

"See.." Caroline said and I chuckled.

"Why are you working when you're going to get married in a few days?" Lana asked.

"I'm a workaholic."

"You're getting married?" I asked and Caroline nodded.

"That's so exciting! Congratulations!" I said.

"Thankyou." She smiled and to me.. it looked like she doesn't want to get married. Usually we go crazy and go nuts a few days before the wedding and here she is thinking about work but who am I to judge her?

Maybe it's just her own way to calm her wedding jitters.

"What time will Luka pick you up?" Lana asked her.

"In 30 minutes."

"Here.." I looked down to see Caroline putting her card on my hand.

"If you change your mind, call me because I will make you a fine.. model." She said and I chuckled.

"I'll consider it, thankyou."

"I'll be going first then." Caroline got up from her seat.

"Where are you going?"

"Need to buy something." She said and left.

"Sorry for that, Dakota." I turned to Lana confused why she's saying sorry.

"Caroline sometimes a little too much, she's just nervous for her wedding I guess." Lana said and I nodded.

"It's okay."

"So.. should we order?" Lana asked and I nodded. We talked about a lot of things and I really like Lana. She's smart and easy to talk to.

"So.. how are you and Angelo? Doing all great right?" She asked and I nodded.

"Yesterday, I asked him if we.. you know would get married one day and his face was just.. weird. It felt like getting rejected." I said as I grabbed my glass of water.

"I'm sure he wants to marry you, maybe he just.. needs time. Besides you've only been dating for a couple of months."

"I know but.. we're just so in love and I.. never mind. It seems like I'm just so crazy that I want to force him to marry me."

"It's not, Dakota. It's normal to feel like that. We're in love so.. of course.. we would want to get married." She smiled and I nodded.

"By the way! I want to take to my friend's cafe.. his desserts are.. the best!" She said.

"I've been craving sweets.." After we ate our late lunch, I got into Lana's car going to her friend's cafe. She told me to go up to the cafe first since she has to make some calls.

I walked into the building and walked upstairs to the cafe. I opened the door and my eyes widen to see Angelo standing there with a big bouquet of roses.

"Hi.." He said as I walked closer to him.

"Hi.." He held my hands.

"Dakota Delaune, I've been spending 10 plus years of my life loving you and I know that you're the one that I want to spend the rest of my life with." My eyes started to water and I can't help but to smile widely.

"We went through a lot of things in life and we met again even though our.. meeting wasn't the smoothest. I love you so much and I want to ask you if you're willing to marry me?" He slowly kneeling down on one knee.

"Yes." I said and suddenly there's a lot of cheering from behind me. Angelo hugged me and I hugged him tightly.

"Congratulations you two!" I turned to see Phoenix, Lana, Adrian and Leah are all here.

"Thankyou." I turned to them and then turned back to Angelo. He slowly put the ring to my ring finger. I crashed my lips to his and he spun me around.

"Great.. now I can be your best man." I heard Adrian said.

"I'm going to be your best man." Phoenix said and we both looked at them two.

"It's a bad luck to have the same best man between friends." Adrian said and I laughed.

"Since when you believe those things.." Phoenix raised his eyebrows.

"You both can fight outside." Lana said and she hugged me.

"I told you.." She said and I chuckled.

"Congratulations, Dakota!" Leah said and I hugged her.

"Choose your best man.." Adrian said to Angelo.

"What are you 5?" Angelo hissed.

"It's important!" Phoenix glared.
