Dean Alessandro

I looked at Phoenix who was still not conscious. I let out a long sigh and I can't believe that he got injured like this. I care for every one of the ILLICIT members as long as they follow the rules. He pissed me off when I only want to save his ass.

Finn's men broke into our headquarter and we're currently constructing it quickly. I have my men hunting for Finn right now along with the Europol.

"Ms. Castroff's surgery went well, Mr. Alessandro." I turned to Stefan and gave him a nod. He excused himself and I turned to Phoenix again.

"I'll beat the shit out of you once you wake up." I whispered and walked out from the ICU.

"His family?" I asked Esther as she gave me Lana's medical chart.

"In the waiting room, Mr. Alessandro." She answered as I checked Lana's chart. I turned to Esther and told her to let Phoenix's parents in. I bet they're worried.

I walked away to my office and Chance was already there with his cup of coffee. Chance raised his eyebrows waiting for me to tell him Phoenix's condition.

"He's fine, he might be awake in a few hours." I said as I sat down on the sofa. I let out a long sigh and Chance chuckled.

"He should leave her once they both get out from the hospital." I said and Chance walked towards me. "You think he will do that?" He put his cup of coffee on the table in front of me.

"He should go back to his old life, he only need us."

"Usually, I will agree with you but I don't think he will. We saw the way he acted." Chance said and I shook my head.

"Lana just lost her father and you want to take Phoenix away from her too?" I turned to Chance coldly and Chance raised both of his hands.

"Not everyone is as strong as you, Dean." I gestured him to get out from my office. Chance nodded and he took his coffee with him. I ran my hand through my hair thinking about what just happened 4 hours ago.

My phone rang and I took it out from my pocket.

"Mr. Alessandro, we found Finn already." I heard my trusted man say. "Give it to the Europol and watch him until he's secure in jail."

"Very well, anything else Mr. Alessandro?" He asked and I looked out the window.

"No." I ended the call.

Lana Castroff

I opened my eyes slowly when I felt the pain on my stomach and my thigh. I looked down to see my stomach and thigh completely wrapped with bandages. Who brought me to the hospital?

When I tried to move my leg, it hurt so much that I cried in pain. Two nurses ran into the room and helped me with my legs. They checked up on me and that's when I realized.. my father died earlier today.

Tears filled up my eyes and I cried so hard. I couldn't believe the situation that I'm in. I just lost the person that I love the most.

"I'll check on her." I turned to the doctor who just walked into the room. He gestured the nurse to go out and he started to check my condition.

"I can say that you're lucky to be alive." The doctor said and I turned to him.

"You should thanked Phoenix for saving you when I tried so hard to stop him." I don't understand anything he said. I was still trying to process my father's death.

"Don't cry over your father, he's in it with Finn." I turned to him disbelief and the doctor put my chart down on the table.

"Phoenix created a new military gear. He created a new weapon and a new bulletproof suit. Enzo Chauvin, your father and Finn somehow knew about this and wanted it so bad because they've been working with cartels and distributing drugs." I don't understand why my father would do something like that.

"I know what you're thinking, they're wealthy enough but why do they want to be involved in the drug ring? The answer is simple.. they're greedy. They know they can't touch Phoenix easily because they knew the ILLICIT is backing them up most of the time. That's why they use Julie to create a chaos." He said as he put a medicine through my IV.

"They raped, assaulted and threatened Julie. Her family was on the line and she didn't have any other choice. She tried to seek for help but it never worked. Apparently.. your father wanted to protect you because you're married to Phoenix. He wanted to get out of this just because you have a relationship with Phoenix himself. He ended up getting killed because he almost turned himself in. He got his lawyers ready to fight Finn and Enzo in court."

"Enzo? Enzo Chauvin?" My brain processed everything so slow because I wasn't in my best state right now.

"He talks about fishing with Phoenix all the time." I remembered.

"Who are you?" I turned to him because how can he know so much about this situation? He's a doctor and did the press already know.

"Dean Alessandro, Phoenix's close friend." He introduced himself and I looked out the window looking for Phoenix. I turned to him. "Do you where he is?"

"He's still unconscious." I panicked and when I moved my leg, it hurt so much.

"How about Julie?" I asked as he helped me adjust my leg again.

"She's death, Finn shot her straight to her chest." Dean answered and I gasped. "They planned this for months but still couldn't get the access card and that's why they took it to another level because they got pressure from the cartels." Dean said as he grabbed my chart from the side of the bed.

"You need a lot of rest."

"Is Phoenix going to be okay?" I asked as he turned his body around.

"He will be okay." He answered and walked out.
