ㅤI've learned something new about life.

That even the best things in life will come to an end unexpectedly one day. What remains are the memories we choose to protect, and these were the memories I cherished.

A long time has passed. I've already graduated from college and currently running a business. I own "angel's restaurant," which has the phrase "we kook deliciously!"

I was writing something on a paper when the door made a noise, signaling that someone had just entered.

"Hello, how may I assist you?" I asked, my eyes fixed on my writing.

"That's not what I taught you, Hyoju. You should face someone when you greet them."

I instantly looked up when I recognized the voice and saw the person I've been waiting for.

"J-jungkook?!"

I couldn't move as I observed him, my eyes still wide.

"Hi, Seo Hyoju."

He still looks the same, but he has grown taller and more muscular.

I bit my lip to stop myself from crying. "Is that really you?"

"I'm sorry for beng so late. God gave me the last duty and I just finished it earlier," He apologized, but I couldn't care less. I rose from my seat and embraced him.

"It's real! You're genuine!" I tighten my hug as tears continue to fall. "I really missed you! You have no idea how many times I cried for you..."

"I missed you," He said, wrapping his arms around me and resting his head on my shoulder, "It's been almost five years, hasn't it?"

"Why didn't you say goodbye that time?" I frowned, breaking our contact.

"I didn't do it on purpose! The head of the Guardian Angels saw what we did and made me go back there without warning, lecturing me about loving a human and other things! They even stated they're going to erase your memories with me, but I begged them not to and just punish me instead," he continued. "Come on, Hyoju, I'm finally here... I'm free to love you now..."

"What?"

"I said I'm allowed to love you now because I'm already a human! This was my reward for being a good guardian angel, even though I committed a sin since I confessed and kissed you—"

I sealed his lips with mine.

Jungkook opened his mouth and kissed me back. I could feel his fingers on my nape, pulling me closer to him. Every movement of his tongue sent shivers down my spine.

His effect on me remains the same—or has it become stronger?

I licked his lips before letting go.

"I'm glad to hear that," I smiled. "I am so thankful God fulfilled my prayer, He gave me you, Jeon Jungkook," He grinned and hugged me for the second time.

"Thank you," He said. "Thank you for waiting for such a long time... It made my heart swoon that you didn't find any other man than me. It makes me feel important, and you make me feel important. I love you, Hyoju."

"My former guardian angel is so sweet," I said, smiling.

"Say it one more time and I'll turn back into an angel," He joked. I hit him in the back, "Kidding only, say it back now?"

I laughed and rested my head against his chest, "I love you too, Jungkook."

"To heaven and back?"

"To heaven and back to back."
