Part 26 - Throwback 4 (1)

As a kid I was actually pretty silent. Maybe it doesn't sound like it, but I did just talk when I needed to. Less I said, less trouble. Now when I have aged I have seen that if I talked more often it would have changed me, but things can sometimes be nice as it is.
You know and have heard that my family got killed when I was small. You may be wonder how we got into that situation, and what happened after, and I will tell you exactly that.

It were a dark, foggy and rainy day when me and my brothers were all playing outside our home as wolves when our father came running from the field where he was hunting. "We need to go, they are coming!," he screamed. Our mother came out as she changed to wolf, like she understood what dad meant. "We don't have any time to get our stuff. We need to get to Mirkwood. Now," dad had stopped in front of us.

I didn't understand much, before I heard orcs scream in the distance, and wargs growl. "Aspect, are you able to run by yourself?," dad asked. I nodded. "Then come," he said. He began to run against the forest, as all of us came after him.

In the forest, the grass were wet, and the fog lay around us. I had problems with seeing my brothers that were right in front of me. My mother were behind me, and dad were leading the way. "Come on, not long to go!," he screamed.

I heard the orcs behind us. Their screams. The wargs breathing heavily as they ran after us.

We jumped over a fallen tree. The thunder bellowed over us, and a lightning stroke in the sky. It hit a tree that fell hard to the ground.

I was scared. I have never been more scared.

One more tree that had fallen, and we jumped over it, but this time I didn't land on my feet. I slipped in the wet grass, and rolled some rounds around, under a tree. My mother didn't notice. Nor did my brothers. I closed my eyes. Hoped the wargs didn't smell me, or that the orcs saw me. Loud footsteps. Growling. Passed me. I still lay down, and waited.

Some minutes after I heard whining. My family. It were my family. The orcs screamed, and some of the wargs whined too.

Then the whining stopped. It got cut by a big howl, before it were silent. My family wasn't to be heard. They were gone, but I didn't move to see where they were. I lay still.

The wargs and orcs walked past me, without noticing. I held my breath. The orcs were laughing and talking. When I didn't hear them anymore, I crawled from my hiding place, walking the same way that we were going to run, but this time alone.

When I had been walking many minutes, I saw something that looked like a big wall, but when I looked closer it were a big tree that had fell. Then I saw them. My family, laying in front of the tree. I walked closer to them.

"Dad," I said, hoping he would respond, but he didn't. "Mom, Teeko, Baron, Duke. Please, someone answer me." They didn't answer. I sat down, before I howled. I didn't care about the orcs coming back to kill me.

I had been howling for a long time, before I stopped. I lay down in the wet grass, few meters from my family. Then I heard something coming. Fast. Many feet hit the ground, and I heard a man voice. The footsteps stopped near me.

"One, two, three, four, five..," I heard the man voice murmured. "Who is missing? Teeko is there. That need to be Duke. And that is Baron. They have grown fast," the voice murmured sad. "Aspect... Yes of course Aspect!" The voice got lifted up to almost yelling. "Aspect, are you here?" The man began to walk around. I thought it were now or never, so I stood up.

It took the man some seconds to notice me, but when he did, he came running to me and lifted me up. "Aspect! Aspect I am so happy to see you! I was afraid you were killed to. Are you hurt? We need to get you to Mirkwood. All good?" The man talked fast, and looked at me. He had a long beard, and crazy eyes. "Oh yes of course you can't answer me," the man said after some minutes and put me on the ground. I got changed back to human, and when I was finished, I broke down in tears for seeing my family dead.

"Aspect, we need to get you to Mirkwood," the man said low. I breathed heavily, trying to stop the crying. "Are you hurt?" I hadn't noticed that my shoulder were hurting before now. I looked up at the man. "Who are you?," I stemmed. "I am Radagast the brown, one of the five wizards. I knew your father," the man said, smiling to me. "My shoulder is hurting. Can you help me to Mirkwood?" I held over my shoulder. "Yes, of course. Jump on my sled, and we will get there in some minutes." Radagast looked behind him, and there I noticed a sled with seven rabbits in front of it.

I slowly walked to the sled and sat down. Radagast came after me, and before I knew we were on our way to Mirkwood.
