Muskaan entered the house, happily hanging her bag back on her back when the scene infront shook her.

Abaan was sitting beside Amaya while her mother was making them eat sweets. The atmosphere was lively. The 4 month old Arsheen was in her father's lap while Farhaad had a poker face.

She entered inside only to get stuffed with a sweet Amaya's mother put in her mouth.

"What is happening?" She asked, dreading the answer while Abaan had a expressionless face as he looked at her and then diverted his eyes from her.

"Abaan said yes to marry Amaya." Her mother informed her, her happiness seen in her eyes.

"Oh!" She said, looking towards Amaya who had a very small smile and which seemed too fake to her. Noone in the younger generation looked happy with the alliance, even not Nyla who happens to be Amaya's bestfriend.

"Congratulations Bhai and Aapi." She said, trying her best to hide the inner turmoil she was in as her eyes teared up. All she wanted was to question him, scream at him but all she did was stay silent.

She picked up a sweet and with allot of efforts, pushed it inside his mouth and other in Amaya's mouth.

"Excuse me. I am a little tired." She said and left from there.

Abaan's eyes followed her till the stairs but as soon as Amaya's hand brushed his, he looked away from there.

She entered inside her room as tears continued to fell off her light blue orbs. Closing the door, she leaned onto it as she finally bursted into tears.

She didn't when the silly crush she had on him changed into something more than that and when that something changed into unending and undying love. She cried and cried falling onto the bed, as she clutched the bed sheet tightly. Punishing herself for even seeing someone as decade old to her as her life partner. She felt drained out, broken beyond repair. The image of him, sitting alongwith Amaya on the sofa, a veil on Amaya's forehead ached her heart. That veil belonged to her Choti Maa and now, it belonged to Amaya, the way Abaan belonged to her. She thought bitterly biting her lower lip as blood oozed out. She cried herself to sleep as her heart bled.

It felt like hours when she gathered herself. Dragging herself to the wardrobe, she pulled out a loose hoodie and black tights alongwith a scarf. She had developed a habit of carrying a thin scarf around her shoulders always though this was not a compulsion. She was always thankful to her parents who never interfered in her life and forced their childrens for anything. She had gotten enough freedom but she never let anything spoil her rotten.

She looked at herself in the mirror as a sigh of tiredness escaped her lips. Her eyes were swollen and red which can tell anyone she cried and she hated pity. She dragged herself in the shower. The warm water flowed down her body as her muscles calmed down, her heart ache stopped and her mind relaxed. She was noone to question him and she made up her mind to not interfere in any matter concerning Abaan and Amaya. She doesn't want herself to get hurt in anyway. She silently made a promise to herself. No matter what, she won't let him control her heart anymore. She will be what she had always been. Playful, outgoing, loving and outspoken.

Changing herself into the clothes, she pulled out her nerdy glasses as she applied a little foundation to cover up the redness of her eyes. Checking her face which looked way normal and better, she applied strawberry lipbalm on her lips followed by making a side braid of her hairs. She was not very fond of makeup but she always had them in case it got used.

(And Here I don't even have anything other than lip balm and body lotion that too due to cold atmosphere. I am too lazy to even apply them if not for my mother's scoldings😂🥺)

"I need a coffee right now." She thought to herself, running her hands through her scalp as her eyes and head pained. She had a weak eyesight and a little of crying cause her allot of headache.

(Thats the reason I don't cry😂If I cried half an hour, my head will ache whole day and my eyes will pain even more worse🥺🥺)

Making her way towards the kitchen, she put the pan on flame as she started mixing the coffee in her cup. She had her eyes closed while doing so when a voice from behind stiffened her posture.

"What are you doing here?" She heard his voice and all she wanted at that moment was to break down as the shiver ran down her spine. Her eyes teared up as she looked at the coffee cup. She left it, willingly making it break into pieces.

Abaan looked at her shocked as the coffee cup he gifted her some months back was lying their, broken into pieces. He obviously saw that she left the coffee cup willingly, but he didn't knew the answer.

"What the hell is this?" He pulled her away from the broken pieces holding her hand but stiffened as her palms touched his bare wrist. Taking his wrist off her arms, she looked at him blankly.

"Duh bhai. What people do in kitchen? I am sure its not a place to dance. I wad preparing a coffee for me but you scared me. Look, the coffee cup you gifted me is broken too. I am sorry for that." She replied nonchalantly making his anger rise. She may had said sorry, but he knew she wasn't sorry at all.

"Anyways Bhai. I will leave. I have a class test tomorrow. It will be time for dinner within 2 hours."she told him and left leaving behind Abaan who looked at her retreating figure. He ran his hands through his hairs, attempting to calm himself down but it frustrated him more as he eyed the broken mug.

You can close your eyes to the things you don't want to see, but you can't close your heart to the things you don't want to feel.

These were the exact words of Farhaad who knew about Abaan's love for Muskaan.

She is everything he ever desired and she is the one who is forbidden for him. It hurts him more than anything. She was like a dream for that 9 year old boy who claimed her for him and then he turned 20 and got to know that she can't be his. They had a age difference of nearly a decade and he don't want to disappoint his father, uncle and worst, his aunt whom he worshipped like god. What she will think of him? The man she treated like a son loved her daughter.

It hurts like hell. Loving someone he can't have. Seeing her everyday and knowing she can never be his. Its the worst feeling. All he could do is dream and wish for her but can never have her. His heart bleeding as he looked at the broken pieces of mug, like that of his heart.
