Maha entered inside her house only to see her mother pacing in the living hall with a worried face while dialing continuously on her phone. Her grandmother was uttering consoling but it didn't have any affect on her mother.
Realising dawned upon her as her hands automatically travelled to her jeans pulling out her phone and her eyes widened looking at the 23 missed calls from Maa and then her eyes travelled to the wall clock and realising that she is indeed half an hour late, she sighed.
"Maa." She called out, stepping inside while her mother rushed towards her with worry plastered on her face.
"Where were you Maha? Why you got late? You are not hurt right?" Frantically checking her daughter out, Sana said while Maha nodded in no with a smile sitting on the sofa and pulling her mother beside her.
"You had your medicines?" She asked making her mother nod in no as she fake glared at her mother.
"Maa you know that how important these medicines are for you but still you skipped it. Me and my friends were late due to the submission of assignment. Aap itni fikr mat kiya karo." Side hugging her mother, she said as her grandmother passed her the medicine box. After making sure that her mother had her medicines, she had her brunch and then went to her room.
(Don't worry about me so much.)

Coming inside her eldest son room, Samreen made her way towards him who was working on his laptop and a proud smile crossed her lips. After the death of her husband 10 years back, her son handled everything. From his study to responsibility of the family without complaining for a single time. He was a very reserved person with a calm and composed demeanour. She felt proud to raise a son like him.
Looking at him mother, he smiled widely going towards her as she sat on the bed while he sat on the carpeted floor as she started massaging his hairs.
"Tere baal ekdum dry hogaye hain." She said pulling his hairs making him wince while she laughed looking at his face. It was very few times when he will laugh Or complaint with that adorable face of his.
(Your hairs had turned dry.)
"Kya socha ush baare mein?" She asked again, gently massaging hiz scalp while he ran a hand on his face frustratingly. He knew about what she is talking about. Its been a month she had started.
(What have you thought about that.)
"Mumma please. You know that I am working on my career. I don't want such a big responsibility on my shoulders for now." He said looking at her.
"How much you want to work on your career? Just tell me? Do you have someone in your life?" She asked him, sincerely this time as she looked at him.
"Mumma." He said. He wanted to avoid his marriage topic at any cost.
"Just tell me why you avoid this topic so much Azlan." She asked him looking directly into his eyes as he sighed rubbing the bridge of his nose.
"Mumma. I..." He became silent making his mother tensed. As he sensed her body stiffening, he held her slightly wrinkled hands in his and caressed it with his thumb.
"Mumma, I have allot of responsibilities. Towards Shaan and Ayla. I want to marry but when they will be settled in their life. Not right now atleast when all their responsibilities are on me. What if she have problem with it? What if I failed to give her the satisfaction and love as a husband? She too deserve a man who love her and cherish her while here its me who is only drowned in his work Or family. You are understanding me, Right?" He asked looking at her with hopeful eyes making his mother give him a smile.
"You know Shaan and Ayla will take another 6-7 years for settling down. Till when are you going to wait? You need to come out of this schedule you have made. The walls you have created around you. Its not bad to be a workaholic. I know Its for us but try and understand, till when me, Shaan Or Ayla are going to be with you. I may be their with you but your siblings will settle down in their own life. Think about this. Marriage is a beautiful feeling and it totally depends upon how much you can understand the girl."she said and left the room leaving behind her frustrated son.
He knew she was right. When his siblings will be settled, till then he will be in his mid thirties. The enjoyment of life will be lost and he never really enjoyed his life after the death of his father. He wanted to feel those emotions which his best friend Ahad described. But a series of ifs and buts were running through his mind. He knew his mother will search the best match for him. But he wanted to make the girl part of his family. He doesn't want her to feel like he is just doing everything for his family but not for her. What if she didn't like me spending on my siblings? What if she is unable to adjust in my life and my family? The concept of failed marriage had always scared him. And this was the reason he always dodged the topic of marriage.
Running a hand through his oily hair, he got up on his foot and taking out a lower and towel, he went inside the washroom to calm down his horses of mind.

Maha's phone ringed out loudly while her father cringed at the lyrics as her cousin banged her hair.
"What the hell is this?" Her cousin, Arsh whispered glaring at her as she fidgeted with her phone hanging up the call.
"Song." She cheekily replied as he pinched her cheeks tightly.
Her father chuckled looking at his daughter as he picked up the newspaper going towards his room.
"Maa, I will be late today. Don't take tension and have your medicines tightly. Abeer is continuously calling me. She is waiting outside." Maha said ad she picked up her bag hanging it on her shoulder and side hugged her mother and aunt leaving the house.
Coming outside, she immediately changed the ringtone and looked at her besties Sanaya and Abeer who were literally drilling holes into hers.
"Apologies." She screamed loudly making them glare her more hardly when Arsh came out of house with the keys of his bike twirling in his hands. He was a in the last year in a prestigious engineering college. He shared an eye lock with Abeer who immediately turned red in anger as he winked at her. She glared at him hard while Sanaya and Maha were trying to control themselves from erupting into laughter.
As Arsh left, Sanaya nudged Abeer who glared at her starting the car.
"Love is in the air Sanaya. Isn't it?" Maha asked winking at Sanaya who hi-fied with her when Abeer comment made them roll their eyes.
"Then I will recommend you guys to not breath. Maybe you guys too will fall into love." She said giving them a sarcastic smile.
Parking the car, Trio came out of them car when Abeer and Sanaya started walking towards the college. She had just walked a few step when she collided with a hard chest making her wince as she stepped back whimpering as her head collided with his chin.
"Can't you watch and walk. Idiot." She said rubbing her forehead as she looked at his calm face with the curtains of her grey eyes who was already looking at her with his calculating cyan eyes. White shirt on his well built body, grey blazer in his hands and a blue tie and perfectly gelled hair,he indeed looked quite good. The proximity with an unknown did no good to her as she pushed him away coming out of his mushy scent.
"Excuse me." He said glaring at the grey eyed beauty who stood infront ot him in all her glory running her hands through her denim jacket in a dominating yet soft tone while she glared at him going away not before saying, "Excused."
