ALEX'S POV

I held Nobunaga in my arms after that War God stabbed him in the back. Hideyoshi sat beside us with a worried look and then Masamune shouted.

"Kojuro! go and get Ieyasu and hurry!!"

"Yes, sir!" Kojuro shouted before getting his horse and riding back to camp at full speed but, I knew that he wasn't going to make it in time.

Nobunaga coughed out blood and then he looked at me with those dying eyes.

"Alex..."

"No! don't try to talk, my lord!" Hideyoshi shouted.

"Hideyoshi...for once I'll say this to you...shut up..." Nobunaga told him and he kept quiet.

"Alex...I'm sorry...I got careless, didn't I...? Maybe what...Kenshin told me...might be true...I fell for you and...I became weak..."

"No, don't say that. You were never weak and you want to know why? it's because you're my Devil King and I love you and we understand each other. That's why I was happy to call you my mate."

I said as I gently stroked his cheek. Nobunaga smiled at me weakly and he gently stroked mine.

"And I was...happy to have found someone who...was kind, strong and...*cough!* beautiful...don't ever...change Alex...and don't let those...people get to you...be proud of who you are..."

I couldn't hold back the tears and then began to spill out of my eyes. Nobunaga gently used his thumb to wipe away my tear and then he said to me.

"Hey...don't cry...I hate seeing you upest...it doesn't suit you...where's that...cheeky and yet, beautiful smile...that I love so much..."

I did my best to smile at him even though the tears kept spilling out of my eyes. Nobunaga smiled back at me.

"Now that's what I like to see...I love you, Alex..."

"I love you too, Nobunaga..."

I kissed him on the lips and when I pulled away I heard Nobunaga take his last breath and then he closed his eyes. My eyes widen and then Hideyoshi called out to him.

"Lord Nobunaga...?"

"Nobunaga...?" I whispered to him and I gently shook him a little.

"Nobunaga? Nobunaga?! NOBUNAGA?!!" I called out to him but he wasn't moving.

I lowered my head and I began to cry my eyes and I gently his body on the ground and then rested my arms and head on his chest. By the time, Ieyasu and Kojuro came back it was already too late. Kiba, Zion and some of the wolves whimpered sadly before they started howling. I heard Shadow howling but then, my heart started pounding but, it wasn't painful like those times when the full moon was out this one felt...pure rage. I slowly raised my upper half and then I heard Shadow speaking up.

"Mate...our mate was killed...he was killed by that War God!!"

3RD PERSON POV

Alex's body started to tremble and she clenched her fists tightly so that I was gripping onto the grass while her heart continued to beat in anger.

"Mate..."

Alex mumbled while gritting her teeth. Her fangs slowly appeared and then Hideyoshi looked at jer with a worried expression.

"Alex? what's wrong?"

Alex didn't respond and then she slowly turned her head so that she was glaring at the War God with an angry look on her face and she was ready to kill at any moment. Alex growled and then Masamune spoke up.

"Uh oh, I know that look anywhere, she's going in for the kill."

"What do you mean?" Hideyoshi asked Masamune.

"You weren't there on the night raid until the last minute but, Alex was very protective of Nobunaga and when she learnt that he was in danger, she went berserk!"

The Oda soldiers nodded their heads in agreement before slowly stepping away from Alex since they knew she was going to shift.

"What's with those looks on your faces? your commander is dead and the woman is grieving for her lover-"

"You killed my mate!!" Alex yelled angrily at Kenshin.

"Alex! you need to calm down! don't shift!"

Kenshin, Shingen and Yukimura looked at Sasuke with confused before Alex got on all fours and then she said to him.

"You killed my mate...you killed my soulmate...my lover...and now...I'M GONNA KILL YOU!!!"

Alex screamed in anger before her body started cracking and her kimono being torn to shreds as she shifted into her wolf form.

AAROOOO!!!

The Uesugi-Takeda army along with their leaders were shocked and scared when they witnessed Alex's transformation. 

"W-What the hell is that thing?!"

"I have no idea but, I'm getting outta here!!"

"Retreat!!"

"I'm not risking my life to fight that monster!!"

Some of the Uesugi-Takeda soldiers ran away while the rest stayed behind but, they stood there with scared looks and they were shaking in fear. Kenshin was shocked when he saw this and then Yukimura spoke up.

"What the hell has she turned into?!"

"Alex is a werewolf, but, I'll explain later right now we need to retreat."

"No!" Kenshin spoke with a frown.

"I am not leaving this battlefield! kill it!!"

Kenshin ordered his men and they snapped out of their shock. They charged at Alex but, she had already let Shadow take over and then the killing spree began. Shadow growled loudly and then she began to bite the soldiers from their necks to thrashing her jaws on their shoulders and clawing at their chests like a feral animal. Shadow bites another Takeda soldier's neck and then she roughly pulled off his head making blood spurt out of his neck. Shadow tossed away the severed head and then the soldiers began to back away from Shadow.

"What are you idiots waiting for?! attack!!"

"I'm sorry, Lord Kenshin but, we are not fighting that thing!!"

The soldiers began to make a run for it but, Shadow didn't give them a chance to run. She growled and then she grabbed the leg of the soldier who tried to run and then she thrashed her head about while having a hold of his leg and then she tossed him so high in the air, he landed head first onto the ground. Yukimura frowned and then he shouted.

"That's it! take this!!!" Yukimura shouted before he charged at Shadow with his spear.

"No Yukimura! stop!"

Sasuke tried to stop him but it was too late. Shadow grabbed Yukimura's spear in her mouth and then she snapped it in two. Yukimura looked at her in fear and he tried to draw his sword but, Shadow smashed her paw onto his chest and she sent him flying. Shadow crouched down and then she stalked around Yukimura with blood and saliva coming out of her mouth. She was about to bite him but, Shingen got to him in time and then he stabbed her shoulder. Shadow roared in pain and then she turned her body to smash her paw onto Shingen's chest. She pinned him down and then she was ready to bite his neck but, he got his greatsword in time so that she bit onto the blade. Shadow thrashed about to get Shingen to loosen his grip but, he wasn't letting it go.

"Alex! snap out it!!"

Sasuke called out to her but, it was no use. The only thing that was running through her mind was pure anger and rage. Sasuke frowned and then he got his Kuni knives at the ready.

"Forgive me!"

Sasuke was going to stab her but, Shadow heard him coming and then she released Shingen's sword and then she jumped away from him in time. Shadow snarled and growled at Sasuke and then she tried to bite him and claw at him but, Sasuke's ninja reflexes were too fast for her. Kenshin frowned and then he drew his sword.

"Hey! over here!"

Shadow glared at Kenshin and then her instincts told her that he was the one responsible for Nobunaga's death.

"You!! you were responsible for my mate's death!! I'm going to kill you!!"

Shadow shouted before she charged at Kenshin and then she leapt into the air. Kenshin swung his sword downwards but, he only grazed her shoulder. Shadow landed onto the ground to reveal the scratched shoulder but, she still had that angry look in her eyes. Shadow growled angrily and she barked angrily at Kenshin before crouching down and she began to circle around him. Kenshin watched her carefully with his sword at the ready and he waited for the moment when she was going to pounce.

"I don't know what you are or what kind of witchcraft you've got yourself involved with, but, I knew there was off about you the moment we met. I had no idea why they called you cursed until now."

Shadow continued to growl angrily at Kenshin and then she barked at him. 

"Lord Kenshin! be careful!!"

Sasuke shouted but, he didn't listen before Shadow and Kenshin charged at each other. Shadow dodged Kenshin's attack and then she smacked his sword out of his hands. Shadow pounced onto him and then she growled and glared Kenshin. Shadow opened her mouth and she was about to bite him until...

"Wait, Shadow!"

Shadow stopped midway and her fangs were very close to biting Kenshin's neck. She slowly pulled away but, she didn't move off of him.

"What now?! let me kill him!!"

"I've got a better idea, he called us cursed didn't he? why don't we give him a taste of our own medicine and show him what it's like to be a werewolf."

Shadow liked that idea and then she growled again and then she wasted no time to bite Kenshin's right shoulder. Shadow sank her fangs into his shoulder and then she shook her head with his jaws in Kenshin's shoulder. Kenshin screamed in pain and with his free arm, he tried to hit Shadow and pull her mouth to get her off him but, she was too strong. 

"Lord Kenshin!!"

"Kenshin!! hang on!!"

Yukimura and Shingen shouted before they ran over to him. Shadow released Kenshin's shoulder and then she jumped away from him. Kenshin rolled onto his side while clutching his bitten shoulder but he was still shouting in pain. Sasuke looked at Kenshin's bite wound and it was bad.

"Oh man, that's a nasty bite."

"You think?!! Ahh!! it hurts!!" Kenshin shouted in pain.

Sasuke looked at Shadow and she wasn't angry anymore. She slowly shifted and then Alex was back to her human form and she had a smirk on her face. She was wearing her bandages over her chest and black leggings. 

"Alex, you've got that look on your face again."

"You know me so well, Sasuke. In a few days, Kenshin won't be known as the War God of Echigo anymore. He won't be the same person you saved one the battlefield."

"What?! you mean...?"

"Oh yeah, and if I were you, I'd keep a very close eye on him."

Sasuke frowned and then Shingen spoke up.

"He's going to need some help and fast! everyone! retreat! head back to Echigo!!"

Shingen ordered his men before helping Kenshin onto his feet. Yukimura glared at Alex and he said to her.

"If you did that my Lord, you wouldn't be standing there with a smug look on your face and by the way, we still won the war, the Devil King is dead!"

Alex frowned at Yukimura as she wanted him and the others leave. Alex turned around and she ran back to Nobunaga's side and then Masamune and the others slowly walked over to her.

"Uh, Lass, are you okay now? is it safe to come over or will you bite our heads off?"

"I'm fine..." Alex mumbled but, she clearly wasn't.

Alex stroked his cheek but, that was when she noticed that he still had a pulse. Alex's eyes widen and then she moved her head over his mouth and then she felt what was left of his breath on her skin. Alex was shocked at first but, she had to do something.

"He's not dead! he's still alive but barely!"

The soldiers were shocked by this and then Ieyasu checked him as well and he was surprised when he felt his pulse.

"She's right! but, he won't last for much longer."

"Oh yes he will, Ieyasu, let me borrow your short sword for a second."

"Why?"

"Just do it!"

Ieyasu was startled by her outburst but, he gave her his shortsword anyway. Alex unsheathed it and then she pressed the blade onto her wrist and then she cut it. Her blood started to spill out of her wound which surprised Ieyasu and the others.

"What did you do that for?!"

"Nobunaga made me promise that if anything happened to him, I'd save him and to do so, I need to give him my blood. Once I do that, he'll become a werewolf."

"I understand now, you've got healing abilities and if you turn him into a werewolf he'll be saved."

Alex nodded her head but, she looked a bit worried.

"However, I should warn you I've never done this before and his chances are slim."

"Just do your best Alex," Hideyoshi encouraged her.

Alex nodded her head and then she pressed her lips onto her wound and then she sucked some of her blood. Once she got enough, she leaned over to Nobunaga's lips and then she kissed then and in doing so, she passed on the blood into his mouth. Alex pulled away and then she helped a gulping sound from Nobunaga's throat. They waited and waited to see if anything happened but, nothing. Alex was shocked and then she lowered her head.

"I'm sorry...I tried..." Alex mumbled before she started crying again.

Hideyoshi sat beside her and then he pulls her into a hug and then she started crying her eyes out again. The others lowered their heads and they've taken off their helmets so they were mourning for their commander. However, they heard a weak voice from a certain someone.

"Hey...who said you can touch her...?"

Hideyoshi and Alex gasped when they heard that familiar voice. They both looked at Nobunaga and he was awake and his injury was slowly healing. Alex smiled and then she flung her arms around him.

"Nobunaga!!"

"Ah! Alex! no offence but you're heavy."

"That's just all muscle!" Alex spoke with tears of joy in the corner of her eyes.

"Lord Nobunaga! you're alive!" Hideyoshi shouted with a smile.

"I don't blieve it!"

"Our Lord lives!"

"Lady Alex did it! she saved him!"

The Oda soldiers cheered for joy and victory while the wolves howled with happiness as well. Nobunaga slowly sat up and then Alex asked him.

"Are you all right? how do you feel?"

"I feel...a bit funny, what's that iron taste in my mouth and why does my chest feel like it suffered a bruise?"

"You don't remember? Kenshin literally stabbed you in the back and we all thought we lost you," Alex explained to him.

"She's right after she took care of Kenshin and Shingen, she was able to sense a bit of life left in you and then she gave her blood to you. You healed almost instantly," Ieyasu explained to Nobunaga.

Nobunaga looked at Alex and he asked her.

"You gave me your werewolf blood?"

"We made a promise, didn't we? if anything were to happen, I'd either bite you or give my blood so you can heal and it worked."

Nobunaga smiled at her but there was one question on his mind.

"Wait, Ieyasu said you took care of Kenshin and Shingen right? what exactly happened?"

Alex giggled and she patted his shoulder.

"Nobunaga, it's a very long story."
