ALEX'S POV

After the war between Kenshin and Shingen, we had won and the news about Nobunaga being alive once again spread. We arrived back in Azuchi and everyone was pleased to see him again after hearing the news that he was wounded and how I saved his life. However, I knew that in a few days he's going to go through the change just like me.

However, I didn't let that worry me because right now, Nobunaga and I were in bed and we holding in each other's arms. Nobunaga rested his head on my chest and I was playing with his hair after we made love. Nobunaga sighed happily and then he moved his head a little before inhaling my scent from my neck.

"Hehe, what's up? do I smell nice?"

"Actually, you do. I didn't realise you smelled so nice until now."

"Oh? and what do I smell like?" I asked as I stroked his cheek.

"You smell like summer fruits and wildflowers. It's a very sweet scent and a strong one too, not that it's a bad thing."

"It's not, that's all part of the senses of being a werewolf."

Nobunaga sat up a little as I continued.

"Remember when I explained to you about the mating bond? well, when you feel the mating pull, not only do you feel the need to protect your mate, you also get to smell his or her scent a lot stronger. It just means your mate is close by and he or she is your soulmate."

"I see, that explains it but, when you were bitten by a werewolf, how did you feel afterwards?"

"You mean how I went through the change? well, it wasn't pleasant. At first, you'll get to feel feverish like going cold turkey on something you were addicted to and then you just sweated it out. That usually means your human's senses are changing. Your senses of smell will get stronger, you will be able to see properly at night and your hearing will be ten times better and sharper as well."

Nobunaga understood this and I can tell he was worried about it.

"Hey, don't look so worried, I'll be there every step of the way for you, Nobunaga. I'll make sure you will learn everything there is to know about being a werewolf and how to control your shifting and how to speak to your inner wolf."

"Inner wolf?"

"It's the wolf you speak to through your mind, just like how we communicate through the mind-link but, different. You'll be able to speak to him after he's been awakened, when will that will be I have no idea but, it'll depend on Selene, our moon Goddess. Knowing her, she'll want to talk to you and meet your wolf as well."

"When will that be?"

"I have no idea but, you will know when she visits you until then..."

I smirked at Nobunaga and I flipped us over so that I was on top of Nobunaga.

"The night is still young, we've got all the time in the world to make love after winning the war, heck, we can keep going until morning, like last time."

I spoke with a wink. Nobunaga chuckled and then he placed his hands on my hips as I straddled his waist.

"If we do that, some people in the castle will hear you and they'll be scarred for life."

"Who cares? we're alive and you're like me now. Don't ever scare me like that again, you hear me?"

"Loud and clear."

Nobunaga spoke with a smile. Shadow howled in response and then we both chuckled.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell you something else about the mating bond."

"Hm?"

"In order to keep the other wolves away from our mates, we mark them and to mark them, we need to bite them."

"Does it hurt?"

"I'm not sure, but, it will leave a scar and it will keep the other she-wolves and the males away from us. You can't mark me yet because you haven't awakened your inner wolf but, I can. So for now, I will show and mark you."

I leaned to Nobunaga's neck and shoulder before I let my fangs appear and then I kissed and licked the spot where I was going to bite him. I opened my mouth and then I bite his shoulder. Nobunaga groaned but, he found it pleasurable from the way he moaned a little. Nobunaga held me close so that I stayed in that position for a second until I pulled away from his shoulder. I looked at my bite mark and I was impressed. 

"Not bad, if I do say so myself."

Nobunaga gently ran his fingers over the bite mark and he smiled a little.

"Normally, I would have been disgusted but, for some reason, this feels nice."

"That's normal for a werewolf to feel like that, it just means you're happy that your mate has marked you. Very soon, you'll do the same."

Nobunaga smiled and then we kissed passionately and then we started to make love again. 

3RD PERSON POV

Meanwhile, back in Echigo, Kenshin was in his room resting his injury that Alex gave him but, it was taking a while to heal and he wasn't feeling like himself either. This also meant that he too was also going through the change. Kenshin sweated and panted a little and then the healer dabbed his forehead with a cloth to try and cool him down.

"I don't know what's going on with him, we checked his injury, stopped the bleeding and stopped any infections but, he's still acting like this. Whatever that woman did to our Lord, it's bad."

The healer explained to Sasuke, Yukimura and Shingen. Yukimura frowned and then he spoke up.

"That woman...she's going to pay for this."

"There's no need to be angry, I think I know what's going on," Sasuke spoke up.

Yukimura and Shingen listened to his explanation.

"Alex isn't just cursed, she's a werewolf and as a werewolf, she turns into some kind of monster. According to the legend, it is said that werewolves only come out during the night but, there's also something else. There are different ways to become a werewolf, drink their blood or get bitten and I'm afraid, this is what has happened to our Lord."

"What? Sasuke what are you saying?" Yukimura asked him.

"You mean to tell us that Kenshin is slowly becoming a werewolf?"

"Yes, don't ask me how it works but, Alex can tell us."

Sasuke stood up and then Shingen asked him.

"Are you going to see her?"

"Yes, I need to know what we're dealing with and see if there's a cure for Lord Kenshin."

"Good luck with that Sasuke."

Yukimura told him before he disappeared into the night.

THE NEXT DAY...

ALEX'S POV

I slowly opened my eyes and I found my mate fast asleep next to me and he looked peaceful. I smiled at him and then I quietly and carefully got out of his arms and I got changed. I decided to stand outside on the balcony to view the town below and it was beautiful. I looked to the side and I noticed there was a moonflower on the railing and I knew what that meant. I felt arms wrap around me from behind and I knew they belonged to my mate.

"Morning, sleep well?"

"I sure did, last night, I had a dream and this was a good one."

"Oh?" I spoke with a smile and I listened to him.

NOBUNAGA'S POV

I looked at the horizon while holding my love in my arms and I told about last night's dream.

Last Night's Dreamworld...

I opened my eyes and I found myself in a strange place. I was in a large meadow that was filled with animals, a large lake and wildflowers. I was surprised by this and then a gentle and sweet voice spoke up.

"Hello, Nobunaga."

I turned around and I saw a woman standing next to the lake. She has long curly brown hair that reached her waist. Pale skin, violet eyes and she wore a white dress that reached her ankles and it exposed her shoulders and arms. She also wore silver bracelets and a necklace in the shape of a wolf.

"Who are you?"

I asked as I placed my hand on my sword but, I realised it wasn't there. I heard the giggling and she said to me.

"Please don't fear me, I am not a threat to you. In fact, I'm a friend."

"You are?"

"Yes, my name is Selene. I am known as the creator of the werewolf race and the Moon Goddess."

I was surprised when she told me this and then I said to her.

"You are? but, how are you here? I thought-"

"You thought I was made up, didn't you? and yet here you are, in my Moon garden."

"Moon garden?"

"Yes," Selene spoke as she looked around.

"This very garden is the birthplace for the wolves to meet their human forms and this is why you're here. You're going to meet your wolf."

"Now?"

"Yes but, you need to find him first."

"How do I do that?"

"Listen for his call and you will find him."

Right on cue, I heard a wolf howling in the distance. I began to follow the howling and then I found myself on the edge of the cliff and there he was my inner wolf. He stopped howling and when he looked at me, I noticed he has black-grey fur and sharp golden eyes. He stood up and he seemed a bit taller than Shadow and then he said to me.

"It's nice to finally meet you, Oda Nobunaga."

"You know my name?"

"Of course, I've been asleep inside of you for a while. The moment your girlfriend gave her blood to you, that's when your new senses began to kick in, however, the change for you is happening a lot quicker and that's why the Goddess Selene has decided now might be a good time for you to meet me in person."

"I see, then may I ask what your name is?"

"My name is Xavier."

Dream Ends...

ALEX'S POV

I smiled at Nobunaga after he told me about Selene and his inner wolf, Xavier. I looked at Nobunaga and I told him.

"Well, that's interesting, I wasn't expecting Selene to visit you so soon. You must be changing a lot quicker than I expected."

"Is that normal?"

"Kind of, Dominic used to tell me that some of the males tend to go through the change a lot quicker than the she-wolves. Don't ask me how or why it happens, it just does."

"I see but, what's that flower you're holding?"

Nobunaga asked me after seeing the moonflower in my hand.

"This flower is called a moonflower. According to legend, it's a rare flower that only grows in the Moon garden that was created by Selene herself. In fact, this flower is her favourite and there's also a saying; 'if the Moon Goddess visits you in a dream, it means you're destined to meet your inner wolf or she'll help you out of a dark place and to prove that she visited you in person, she would leave behind her favourite flower.'"

I said as I held up the moonflower. Nobunaga was impressed and then he rested his head on my shoulder.

"So that's what that dream was, she visited me in person and it was real?"

"Yes, you're not the only one who she visited either. Selene came to visit me after I ran away from you and the others before the battle between you and Kenshin broke out."

Nobunaga was surprised and impressed when I told him what happened that night when Selene came to see me.

"So she predicted this would happen, why didn't you tell me from before?"

"Even if I did, would have believed me or would you have thought that I was some crazy she-wolf?"

Nobunaga thought for a moment until I heard his wolf.

"She's right you know, I don't think I would have believed her if she told me."

Nobunaga jumped in fright and then he looked around a little.

"Who said that?!"

"Hehe, calm down you big scaredy-cat, it was only your wolf talking to you through the mind-link."

"Very funny, I knew it was him but, it feels weird."

"I know but, you'll get used to it, trust me."

"If you say so."

Nobunaga said to me before he wrapped his around me from behind again and then he starts to kiss and suck on my neck. I gasped a little and then he tugged down the collar of my kimono so my neck and shoulder were exposed while his other hand sneaked it's way under my kimono and touching my chest.

"Oh! Nobunaga!" I shouted in pleasure.

"Alex..." Nobunaga whispered against my skin.

When Nobunaga's lips found my sweet spot, my knees began to buckle but, he managed to catch me.

"Need some help?"

"I can't help it...you're making me feel this way..."

"Is that so? then come back to bed, the others won't mind."

I smirked at that idea before Nobunaga scooped me up in his arms and then he carried me back to the futon.
