ALEX'S POV

I slowly opened my eyes and I felt nice and warm in the futon right now. I looked up and Nobunaga was still here and he held me close to his chest. I smiled at him and I slowly leaned over between his neck and shoulder. I let Shadow take over and then we both took in Nobunaga's scent. He smelled so nice right now and then I started to gently kiss his neck. I heard Nobunaga flinch a little since he was ticklish on his neck. I giggled a little before I straddled his waist and then I kissed Nobunaga's lips and he kissed me back, deeply. We eventually pulled away for air and then we smiled at each other.

"Good morning, Alex."

"Morning, my Devil King."

I said as I stroked his cheek.

"You seem a bit better this morning, what's gotten into you?" Nobunaga asked me as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"After last night's raid and worrying about you, I feel a lot better, knowing you're here alive in my arms."

"Good," Nobunaga said as he ran his fingers through my hair.

"Alex? have you ever thought about what we talked about?"

"About me turning you into a werewolf? yes, I remember, why?"

"If you had a choice to save me by turning me into a werewolf, there will be no going back once you've turned me, am I right?"

"Yes, once you either get bitten or drink my werewolf blood, you're cursed for all eternity and you'll be immortal. Don't tell me you're changing your mind now?"

"No, I still want you to use your werewolf blood to save me in case anything happens. Do you promise me, Alex?"

I smiled at my Devil and I nodded my head.

"Good girl, now come here."

Nobunaga pulled me down so that I was resting on his chest.

"It's still early, let's sleep a little while longer."

"All right."

I buried my face in Nobunaga's chest and his scent and the warmth of his body helped me fall back asleep. 

A FEW HOURS LATER...

I left the manor and I then took a big stretch. Nobunaga's men were already running around to get ready to leave this place. Thanks to Ieyasu's medicine, the victims of the poison were able to recover much faster than expected. Even those who were not completely well did what they could to prepare. However, I could still sense the tension in the air when the soldiers spotted me. Some glared at me in disgust while others feared me and they cautiously walked past me like if I was some kind of dangerous animal. 

'I should have expected this but still, at least there are no wolf hunters to kill me after hearing the news that I'm around.'

Suddenly, I noticed a crowd of people near the village entrance and Nobunaga was among them.

"What's going on over there?" I mumbled before I checked to see what was going on.

Suddenly, some of Nobunaga's men stopped me and they shouted.

"Stay right where you are, monster!"

"Don't come any closer!"

I stopped in my tracks when they held their spears at me. I was shocked by this and I then frowned at him.

"What's the meaning of this?!"

"We've seen what you're capable of!"

"You're a monster! a curse!"

"Don't come any closer to Nobunaga-sama!"

I understand these guys feared me but, why now though?

NOBUNAGA'S POV

I glared at Kennyo after we had him and his men tied. However, he looked past me and he smirked.

"I told you that woman is cursed, didn't I?"

"Don't bring Alex into this."

"If you're that worried about her, then why are your men turning against her?"

I turned around and I was shocked when I saw a few of my men having their weapons drawn at her. Hideyoshi was shocked as well and then he looked at me.

"Nobunaga-sama?"

"Hideyoshi, send Kennyo away, I'll deal with this."

I spoke in anger before I approached the group of men who were threatening my little wolf. I stood in front of Alex and I shouted.

"That's enough!!"

My men looked at me with shocked expressions and I told them.

"I know what we witnessed last night came at a shock to us, but, Alexi is still one of us and you have no right to attack her like this!"

"But my Lord, that woman turned into a monster and as much as I hate to say this but, Kennyo's right, that woman is cursed!"

I drew my sword at the soldier and he froze on the spot.

"Call her that again and I will cut you down where you stand."

"Nobunaga stop it!" Alex shouted at me.

I turned to look at her and when I did, she had tears spilling out of her eyes. I was shocked by this and she said to me.

"I...I don't want you defending me...they're right...I'm cursed and no matter how hard I try to fit in...they'll never accept me for who I am..."

"Alex, you don't need to feel like that-"

"You don't understand!!" Alex shouted in anger making me stop talking.

"You don't know what it's like to transform into a monster during the full moon and you can't control yourself! you also don't know what it's like to look down on when it's clear no one wants you around!!"

Alex looked at me with those tears in her eyes and then she smiled sadly at me.

"I think it's for the best that I leave..."

"What?! Alex, there's no need for you to-"

My sentence was cut off when I heard Alex's bones cracking and I knew that she was transforming. I was shocked when she turned into her wolf form and then she looked at me with those sad eyes. She whimpered at me and I told her.

"Alex, you don't have to leave."

I tried to touch her but, she moved away from me and then she took off running.

"Alex! come back!!"

The others watched her leave and then I frowned at the soldiers.

"Are you satisfied?! is this what you wanted?! to scare her off like this?!"

The soldiers looked at me with shame in their eyes and then Masamune came over to me and he asked me.

"Do you want me to go after her?"

"Find her if you can, Masamune, if you can't find her then come and find us in Echigo's boarders, Alex can make her own way back to Azuchi."

"And what if she's not there by the time the war is over?"

I stood there in silence for a moment before I spoke up.

"I'll cross that bridge when I come to it."

I said as I went back to preparing to go back on the road while Masamune got on his horse and he went to look for Alex.

ALEX'S POV

I ran through the forest in my wolf form and I was crying on the inside as Shadow took over. 

"I knew something like this was gonna happen! I thought I could fit in this world but, who am I kidding?! I can never live a normal life!!"

"I know what you're feeling but, maybe we should stay away from the others at least until the war is over."

Shadow told me as we stopped for a moment to catch our breath.

"No...I don't care if Selene chose Oda Nobunaga to be my mate! I can't stay in the Sengoku! I need to get to Kyoto and get back to the modern world."

"What?! but, we can't!"

"We have no choice Shadow...I don't want to be in a world where those people look down on me like a...a monster..."

"Alex!" A familiar voice called out to us.

I turned around and then we saw Masamune riding on horseback and he was looking for us. I hid in the bushes so Masamune couldn't see me. 

"Alex! where are you?!"

I crouched down so that Masamune couldn't see me. Masamune sighed and then I watched him walk away from the area before looking over his shoulder.

"Alex, if you can hear me, just so you know, we'll be near Echigo's borders if you change your mind."

I watched Masamune spurred his horse and then he galloped away from the area. I emerged from the bushes and I then sat down on the grass while whimpering sadly. 

"Alex...should we go back to the modern world? it feels wrong to do so."

"I know but, how can we fit into the Sengoku now that the soldiers and the vassals of the Oda forces know about our secret? How can I face Nobunaga without those awful stares and insults behind my back?"

"I don't know, Alex...I don't know..."

I lowered my head sadly as my wolf ears flopped downwards.

3RD PERSON POV

Masamune got back to the oda forces and he told Nobunaga that he couldn't find Alex anywhere.

"I'm sorry, my Lord. I tried to look for her but, I couldn't find her anywhere."

"I see, thanks for trying, Masamune but, I'm sure she's made her way back to Azuchi."

"I just hope you're right," Masamune mumbled in a worried tone.
